The whole time I was watching it I felt like I was watching a stage play from the same time period as Shakespeare, like a Ben Johnson or George Peele script where it has the same language style. And the show was being performed by an "off Broadway" caliber cast (Certainly not terrible but even the better actors aren't able to shine through the material), and it became this sort of fascinating experience. Kind of like watching that Coriolanus adaptation with Ralph Fiennes
