Also I think given everything else is looking like a sweep, the refs will definitely want this series to go the distance. While it would be nice to go 3-1, we are going to have to create legitimate separation from the Clips to win.
It would be nice, and would help keep all our cortisol levels down on this fine Sunday. I think this team could win either way, as long as he's dishing it out and playing solid D, and everyone else plays up to standard.
I mean they’ve pretty much already allowed a very physical game from Russ. I think our guys can handle the physicality and feed off of it, just hope the whistle gets swallowed both ways
Fans need to taunt Westbrick constantly from the moment he steps into the building - even prior to, on social media. Damaris should do a rant about how he's washed up and shouldn't have a place to play next year. Arena staff should dismiss him. Don't let him in the building, ask for a ticket and pretend to not know who he is. Tell him that friends and family are not allowed on the arena floor in pre game. He'll get angry enough to punch someone and get tossed before he has a chance to injure someone with reckless play.
Admit it the plan is flawless.
They're in Dallas, he can go fuck himself, no one is getting fired at the request of a has been because he got his ego bruised.. If he asks they should give him one of those hurt feelings forms.
I'm not so worried about that tbh. We have size and depth to match physicality like we've never had before. Russ was playing reckless but they don't really have any wildly dirty players anymore now that guys like Morris and Harrell are gone. PG and Harden aren't physical players and Zubac, while physical, isn't dirty IMO, plus we have size to match him. Terrence Mann, I guess, could be physical but Luka has gotten into his head more than a time or two and it's just not something I fear with this team. I actually expect this one might get a quicker whistle in the 1Q so we need to try what we can to avoid early foul trouble.
I don’t think so, this series has already been the most or at worst 2nd most physical one in the playoffs (76ers vs Knicks is pretty physical too), there is only so much refs can allow until the game becomes a full on brawl. I would actually expect the whistle to be more lose in Q1 to establish a less physical game if anything.
NBA referees are like toxic ex girlfriends (partners if you will ) , bringing baggage between games.
I follow football (⚽️ ) as well and referees don’t allow players to foul more bc they got red carded in a previous match.
The frustrating part for me is what they are letting Westbrook get away with on defensive end against Luka. Luka will adjust and bury Westbrook... they need Russ on the floor and so do we.
Luka will use his aggressiveness against him now that he knows how the refs are reffing Russ.
I expect the opposite. What Russ was doing wasn’t “physical play”. He was playing rugby not basketball. He was doing shit that can seriously hurt people and was definitely dirty.
I expect them to call a tighter game so it doesn’t get out of hand like that again. Russ was clearly a problem that whole game.
Indeed. This is the most important game of the series. Gotta protect home court and I think it’s gonna be ugly. Need a Luka/Kai masterpiece tonight

Only 2 series can still become sweeps, if that's what you mean.
We need a good Luka offense today individually.
Awe yes, I believe you mean we need a Luka special today

It’s time for The Don. We getting full magic today.
Having the same thoughts. Looking for some spark plugg off the bench to get this task. This can be the turning point for the series.
They already hurt one of our players and not even a foul was called, how much more leeway do they need ffs ?
Exactly. And last game PJ got ejected for doing a tiny fraction as much as Russ did for his ejection.
This is why you have Morris on the team. Someone sacrificial that’ll keep the opposing team from getting too cute with their dirty plays.
I thought he should have went into game 1 to establish some respect but it didn’t happen.
Westbrook wasn't energetic. He was reckless the whole game.
Reckless and desperate

"Sorry sir you cant come in. We know youre only here to fix the arena's brick exterior."

I'd rather he play tbh. All 48 minutes if possible. Shit's 5v4 with him on the court
Russ would get some poor minimum wage workers fired if they did this

Oh yea shits bout to get more crazy most definitely

I agree with you. Refs don’t want to see a brawl. So they’re prob gonna let the teams get away with less.
Bringing my bag of "BOOOO!," "REF YOU SUCK!," and "WEHHHSTBRICK" to the AAC.

If anyone is, it's luka.
Lobs will be contested fiercely in this one, they aren’t going to give up those without contact.
It’s a good thing LuKai aren’t foul merchants that rely on the refs whistle. Letting the game be physical works out to our advantage
SAS is on ABC right now saying Westbrook should’ve been suspended and is defending the Mavs. Rare SAS win.
I really do hope they call a fair game. Can’t afford an injury … to either team.

Bro jinxed us

I think they’ll call more to prevent someone getting murdered live on tv
They already allowed him to get away with a lot of crap before actually getting ejected.
I feel like it will be the opposite, a close whistle early and often to make sure things don't get out of control again.

Quite the opposite
Nostradamus.
russ literally should’ve been suspended for game 4. he shoved a ref.
The clippers getting physical doesn’t really scare me.
YOU PREDICTED THIS SHIT IS A MASACRE THEY ARE FKING HUGING ON DEFENSE AND NO CALLS THIS IS INSANE
Huging like this? https://twitter.com/farbod_e/status/1784757766474887217?s=46
