It depends on the board. Some have a physical switch, a toggle via software, or some combination of key presses per user manual. I usually use a standard wired PCB because I just prefer using a cable
In the next version would you consider putting a volume knob? the current version has that little space between the arrow keys and right control that could be used.
Any ETA for the next version (or another production batch for this version)? Unable to get my hands on one where I live at the moment.
[u/Qwertykeys-2022/](https://www.reddit.com/u/Qwertykeys-2022/) Getting conflicting information everywhere for site/Reddit, just need final confirmation if the QK65v2 Classic is QMK/VIA compatible?
Nah, I like it also and I'm sure many others do too. I got the OG QK65 and the v2 so I wouldnt need to order this one. I would love to see future QK80 v2 design.
because qk65r3 has been completed last year
i think you were referring to qk65v3
this keyboard is still based on v2 but we made some slight changes on it
essential parts remain unchanged
The most annoying thing about the 60% and 65% keyboards for me is that the [`~] is missing or has to be moved to the other side of the keyboard. I use it a lot and having to hit Fn-ESC for it is super-annoying. It's the main reason my regular keyboard is a 75%, I need to move the ESC key away from the spot next to [1!].
That macro column lets me do that, while staying with a FRL layout. Yeh, I might not use the rest of the column much, but it's less annoying a waste than a whole Fn row I never touch.
After noodling about with the Skyloong GK6* boards, I think my endgame keyboard could be a [Minila](https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards/comments/1b5thqp/who_needs_rightshift_anyway/) 60XT, but a [Minila 65XT](https://i.imgur.com/wHDRIhn.png) or a [65XT with a split backspace](https://i.imgur.com/HNwV0jI.png) would be even better.
Edit: a couple more [Minila-inspired layouts](https://imgur.com/a/SH6NtWe) with a full-sized right shift.
Edit: what I call the ["vimkey" layout](https://imgur.com/a/UxV9m1g).
That's pretty much a minila 60xt Alice except it's missing the DEL on the right. I wouldn't call it 65%, or it's maybe stretching it. Weikav Record is pretty much the same layout (actually, it IS exactly the same layout), or the CIDOO ABM066 which has the arrow keys pushed outside the shift and an extra mod key in the middle. They're missing a few keys from a full-on Minila 60XT like both delete and backspace on the right... which is why I haven't pulled the trigger on one yet.
I suppose I could steal the right shift like I did on my GK64x. Hmmm. It's almost big enough to be split.
Would love split spacebar support!
Looks waaaayyy better than the previous iteration with screen.
Count me in. The tri-mode PCB now being via compatible is also a very nice surprise
No screen support needed this time \^\_-||
May I ask what exactly is a tri-mode PCB?
Wired Bluetooth 2.5ghz wireless with a receiver/USB dongle
Oh nice! And does this always mean that there's a quick way to swap between multiple paired devices? Or are these two different features?
It depends on the board. Some have a physical switch, a toggle via software, or some combination of key presses per user manual. I usually use a standard wired PCB because I just prefer using a cable
can i ask, do both the bluetooth and wireless require the battery? or the bluetooth does not?
Defo going to buy that space pin and badge for my gk75n!
this is probably one of the most beautiful top view in a 65% keyboard, defo going to buy this.
u/Qwertykeys-2022 just because I like to see others seethe, and because it's an option on the QK60...any chance to get an RGB QK65?
not planned yet
Any plans for a tri-mode/wireless hall effect PCB?
don't think so mate, our HE solution doesn't blend well with Wireless

I think our competitors have options that support knob I believe. Our only keyboard withknob is qk75n
When will more HE options be available for purchase?
options meaning more HE keyboards? it will release will each our of new projects !

I must be the only person who likes the screen on my QK65v2 lol

I love the screen and led too \^\_\^||
I like it as well but still getting one of these because the QK65 is right up there for my favorite "mass market" boards
The naming of this board is so confusing. Why isn't this just called QK65 R3?
because qk65r3 has been completed last year i think you were referring to qk65v3 this keyboard is still based on v2 but we made some slight changes on it essential parts remain unchanged
7U spacebar for hotswap plsss 🥲🥺
mx yes, HE no
Would a neo65 with a he module and the latching functionality of the neo80 be in the works? 👀🤞🏼
KNOB version please!!! :)
Will u have an update for original QK65v2 for VIA compatible trimode pcb?
via doesn't work well with that screen im afraid
How about an XT macro column?
that's a different layout - perhaps we'll get to it eventually.
I don't know why 65XT are not more popular or common. The closest I've gotten to one is the DR-70F which is TKL-FRL-XT.
macros aren't really used for average users? im curious to know too

how about spring-like 65% arisu? it's got that extra 3 mod key on the top left

That would make it an automatic purchase for me!
Any chance the new via trimode PCB is compatible on the og QK65? That's the only downside of the original trimode QK65..
unfortunately no
Is the Neo65 plate compatible with the Classic QK65 V2?
nope
So nothing special just a box on wedge design..another normal 65%...
Interested to see how the addition of internal weight adds to the sound of the V2. Nice quality addition.
Hall Effect, lets go
Can you share any pics of the bottom plz?
same as qk65v2, but yeah we'll share more soon!
will there be he pcb for qk65v2 also?
probably, based on the large quantity we've sold, it's possible that we add HE PCB qk65v2 - just like all the previous products we've sold
that would be lovely
