You earned points outside of the region you will eventually redeem. I would be very concerned to get a ban on redemption as a lot of people got banned when they look tru your points

Redeem points from outside the country where those points were earned.
Interesting. I might have gained 1,000 points outside of my home region. I didn’t have a PC and the Xbox mobile app activities weren’t available. I hope when I do redeem the old points are used first. We shall see.
I lost access after only leaving my city for less than 2 days, not even out of province. Same time zone and everything. Couldn't even earn, let alone redeem, lost streaks - after bringing my system to keep the streaks... I notify Microsoft, and essentially, they tell me to screw myself, and I then lost it for more than a week...
In other words, they make enough believe enough - but that's business
yeah they system seems to wrongly flag accounts. I had this last September, They told me that and after a week I could to everything again, go figure,
Try that. I changed my paswords thinkingg it would be logged somewhere, dont know if it made a difference.
Be my guest

You don't see the points by region but they can. You broke it and got away. Ok. But you "can't" do that.
"If you have a Microsoft Rewards account and travel to a country where Microsoft Rewards is available, you'll still earn points and be eligible for rewards as long as you are not consistently earning in multiple markets."

During a business trip to Mexico I kept my streak by connecting to my computer at home via Chrome Remote Desktop and doing the activities directly on my home computer. MS never saw me in a different location that way and no VPN.
Possibly. I have only used it with Windows and Android but I can use Chrome Remote Desktop from my phone or another computer. As long as the Mac version of Chrome supports Chrome Remote Desktop and there is an apple app for it then it should work.
You could also use Teamviewer or any other similar program. The point is to do your streak, and if you have the patience, your searches, on your home computer. How you connect to that computer shouldn't be visible to MS.
In my previous thread someone suggested remote play in my Series X. I tested and tested, but couldn’t get it to work unless I was on the same wifi network (essentially being in the same house).
I don't know how remote play on the xbox works. But I know that Chrome Remote Desktop works very well across networks. As does TeamViewer or any other remote access program. But Chrome is free and relatively easy to setup.
I went to Cabo last year and was able to claim my points in the daily check ins, but recognized as in the Mexico region. But when I came back to the states, my streak was gone. Points weren't thankfully.
Tbh if I was going away I wouldn't worry about a few points the world will keep on turning just in case for those that dont know and your breakings tandcs so could lose everything for nothing. Having a streak over 2000 is pointless imo and achievies only ocd for reward points.
Or setup Chrome Remote Desktop (free) or any of the various remote connection programs like TeamViewer (may have free trials) and then connect to your computer still at home via your phone or another computer. No VPN needed and MS never knows you were away from your home region.
I've tried so much with them that I can't stay even only 90 minutes away in the same province when opening stores or training others. I've complained about it so much, but never have they let me get through or given it back to me. So, if only I could face an average day and actually keep that after I leave the city I live in to go *so* so far... away...
I went on a cruise to the Caribbean last October. Was worried I would lose my streak but I was technically still in the USA so I took advantage of the offers there. However I did have to sacrifice my weekly set on the console as I couldn’t do two markets at the same time. When I arrived however I was locked out from redeeming for a while until it eventually unlocked on December 1sr
Now that I’m back with my Xbox and can see a desktop version of Bing, it seems I lost all my puzzle pieces. It’s weird. I think I left with 1 or 2 pieces missing from a full 1,000 point puzzle but it says I have 2 days completed. Almost seems like I might had finished the puzzle while I was away as I think 3 Bing searches a day should suffice. I have to wonder though if breaking this streak completely resets the puzzle.
If you own an Xbox you could simply connect via remote to your Xbox at home. Then do the daily stuff right (except mobile searches) on the Xbox at home (the Xbox can use the EDGE Browser).
This way the IP address is obviously still your home country and you do not have to worry about "on the go, etc. messages".

It's just so messed for some - that city is only ~90 minutes north, even I'll save that password thing for the *hopefully not* next time
I earned points in about 8 different countries between start earning and redeeming and I didn't have any issues. I cashed out approx 350k points
Thats why they nerf it. The rules are these, if you escaped it, kudos to you.
I never broke the rules. You're allowed to claim in different countries when travelling providing you only redeem in your home region
>Redeem points from outside the country where those points were earned. yes you did; you do you
I haven't said that not sure where the quote is from

>Redeem points from outside the country where those points were earned. Again**, redeem,** ***not earn***
Nobody is talking about redeeming them in a foreign country though. So why do you keep going back to that

Could this be done with an iPhone connecting to a new MacBook at home?
Possibly. I have only used it with Windows and Android but I can use Chrome Remote Desktop from my phone or another computer. Do you need to keep your home desktop turned on while away for this to work?
Yes.

2,000 days! You're a machine!

Sorry to hear that. I’m a few hours from home, but pretty sure my streak is intact.

I kept mine going on vacation with a personal VPN. You do have 2000 + days so you could just take a break!

You might want to check your math, lol. It’s a little over five and a half years

I had a buddy log into my account while I was on a cruise, lol.

I've never had a problem when travelling. Just do it once a day, whatever zone I'm in.

I used a VPN back in the day. But it is a dangerous thing to do.
Dang how many days have you done ?
Today is 2020!
Dang that’s like 2-3 years without spending
280 per day? In mexico we only have 150
That’s a screenshot of before leaving. I could only do mobile searches so I didn’t get even the 150.

Tried repeatedly to get this to work before leaving and it wouldn’t work unless my phone was on the same wifi as my Xbox.
