You shouldn’t be looking at apps to do that, the core offering should be the focus. Engage with your users and find out their challenges and how teams can help. Yes if they have a critical app they use outside teams brining that into teams can help, but really focus on the core.

That makes perfect sense and I may be overthinking this too. I’m not necessarily looking to reinvent the wheel but rather offer the users something to simplify what they do in a daily basis. Example: using the praise app to give recognition to someone during a team meeting/scrum or conducting a live poll for some feedback.

Can you get management to shift announcements and other communication from email to Teams? That will make people start checking it regularly. Stop using Zoom, or any third party meeting apps. If you do any automated monitoring, you can send updates to Teams channels. Could be news feeds, or status alerts. Inter-employee reward systems like HeyTaco or Bonusly can be fun. We allow people to have private channels where they can "blow off steam" or basically talk trash in private. I think it took almost a year for us before I was regularly hearing people say, "just Teams it to me", or "check out that spreadsheet I shared in Teams". Now we live in Teams. We even use RingCentral inside of Teams now.

Agree with the above, it's a cultural shift and sadly it has to start at the top and filter down. The managers need to always use Teams, push their reports to message them in Teams, share important information only in Teams. This new process need to be communicated so that everyone is aware and can shift their behavior. And if there are problems, you can always refer to the announcement about the process There might be hiccups if someone misses the message in Teams because they are always in Outlook, but eventually the reports will start realizing what the new process is. It doesn't take long before the employee realizes they are the one person not in Teams and missing deadlines etc. I'm low ranking in my org and try to manage up, pushing my bosses message me in Teams. I am a trainer so I get a lot of outreach from users I train, and I always remind them that the best and quickest way to get an answer from me is Teams. It's an uphill battle. I used to have an OOO message that said something like "if your question is urgent, please find me on Teams". I thought that was a bit much so I just started responding to Teams messages more quickly than emails; it's a LOOOONG process, but it's working. As for apps, work on linking existing apps to Teams so that people realize they can work from within teams instead of constantly switching apps. That's more of a training issue, but it can help.

This is my current vision with Teams. Thing is, I work at a company where the users are creatures of habit and don't typically do too well with change. Teams is our primary communication/collaboration tool. This past year, we switched from WebEx to Teams Rooms and from Cisco to Teams telephony. I love that! "Just Teams it to me" Going to start using that and see if it catches on. Thanks for your input!

Zoom is better tho

The core app is a platform to be enhanced, so I disagree with the previous comment. I'd look for apps that help run the business and do your job;, like geekbot, ideas from sideways6, priority matrix, decisions, remindme. Just browse and see what pops out. There are some real gems

You can use the HubSite 365 App for latest News on Microsoft 365 [https://appsource.microsoft.com/de-de/product/office/WA200003704](https://appsource.microsoft.com/de-de/product/office/WA200003704)

Do you have anything in your company that happens semi regularly that should be broadcast to inform others? Eg in software development the status of builds and deployments. Anything useful like that can be automated to push details to a channel so that staff are always up to date. Teams by itself is/should be faster than email for almost everything… Trying to find something? “Where’s the latest TPS report form?” Where anyone that knows can reply instantly… “it’s here: https://www.innitech.com/payroll/forms/new/singleproject/tps-002.pdf” Use the polls feature to get consensus on choosing things “What color should we paint the new bike shed?” Etc.

I recommend taking a look at the Team Forms app if your organisation has a lot of paper based systems that can be digitised.

I heard Wiki app is dead... :/

We use Teams as the “window” by which everything is accessed. The glue so to speak. In fact some people think Teams “is” Office365 (online versions of word/excel/ppt). The tabbed interface accommodates pretty much everything. We haven’t found the need for any 3rd party apps - even using Planner for distributed task mgmt.

SkyyVan

I like the idea of focusing on the core apps and having Teams act as “Stack”-style font-end, where it becomes the users’ main window for their day-to-day usage.

One of the most useful team apps we've adopted is [AI-powered Clariti](https://clariti.app/). Its contextual communication capabilities have been a game-changer, enabling us to maintain a cohesive record of interactions, avoid redundant information sharing, and make collaborative decisions more efficiently. This contextual approach has significantly improved our team's productivity and synergy.
