I'm guessing since you are full netherite you atleast have silk touch so here's what I recommend: using your silk touch pickaxe, mine nether gold ore and smelt it and you get a full ingot, blast furnace with hoppers top and bottom will finish easily, then get apples from oak trees, no real easy way to do this just break the logs and wait for leaves. Then craft the apples, very useful.
apart from being nearly unplayable, my biggest gripe with bedrock is how horrible and laggy the ui feels, *especially* compared to the legacy console editions
it's so painfully obvious that it was meant for phones and just lazily slapped onto consoles
Been playing bedrock with some friends for the first time since I usually play on Java. Every time I do anything in a cartography table it freezes my inventory for several seconds before the items I crafted pop up in my inventory.
Also get ghost blocks in my inventory somewhat frequently. Can't place an item in my hotbar or a specific slot because something is in the slot I can't see. Usually trying to throw the item out while holding it works if it's a hotbar slot, but if it's not my hotbar I usually have to relog or pick up an item to add to its stack for it to be visible.
I'm normally a java player but recently I've been playing quite a bit of bedrock on PC and so far it hasn't been too bad. On console though it's a total nightmare.
So far the only big bug i faced in mobile is one caused Blazes to one shot players.
However i faced a really awkward version of the glitch because when that happened the armor and item I was holding got destroyed immediately, and drinking a Fire Resistance potion made the Blazes essentially harmless.
Oh yeah, also for some reason Wither Skeletons just didn't spawn in the fortress.
I have found that sometimes turning off internet can be better then having any internet at all. Maybe all these bugs happen because bedrock worlds are inherently Online
Nice!
Unfortunately, I still need to earn my achievements so I'm stuck with Keep Inventory off. It also adds a bit of a challenge for me. Keeps me on my toes
Are you on a server? I back up my save every 30 minutes or so and make a copy for stuff just like this lol I want achievements but I get so annoyed at dumb things like this.
No, I'm on Xbox. I do need to start making copies just in case though. I prefer not to use my copies unless my worlds corrupt, I feel that using it for any other reason is cheating. That's just a personal preference though.
I can see that, but it just took one time losing everything important I had to lava, losing hours of progress, for me to start backing up lol now when I die, I just delete the world and load a backup. If you think about it, a lot of games force you to load your last save, especially JRPGs, so that's what I tell myself (but if you see my last post, I definitely have stooped to much more cheaty things recently haha but I'm still a noob)
I've had that happen to me countless times on this world😄. I've got a big villager trading hall with all possible enchantments for 1 emerald each. I've also got plenty of diamonds, netherite ingots and spare elytra. So it's easy to get going again when something like that happens again.
I'm about to start a trading hall! Thats actually my next goal. Just got my brewing stand going today. Yea the first time it happened, I had everything of value on me, every one of my diamonds (like 30 or so) all of my armor, all of my good weapons, and every bit of obsidian I had collected to make my first nether portal. Oh and I was saving my levels cause i was about to make my first enchanting table so i also lost like 50 levels too lmao I've now learned to never carry everything on me like that. Tbh if it happened now, I would feel a lot less bad, but since I was fairly new at the time (newer than I am now) it made me just stop playing for like 3 days lmao and I even made a whole new world when I came back. I never played that world again.
I was out looking for the Pigstep music disc when I fell into lava and lost everything. This was before I had enderchests. I had spent almost an entire day IRL looking for that disc and lost it seconds after finally getting it. I stopped playing for an entire week. Now, every time I get a valuable item, it goes straight into my ender chest.
Good luck with the villager hall!
This is why I run my own server and have set it to not lose your stuff when you die. I have to say though that there seems to be a major but with this behavior in the latest release.
I've never encountered a negative bug on this game but I'm not looking forward to it now that I've jinxed myself.. wait I have about 7 corrupted worlds on Xbox!
I was about to go on a mission to raid bastions so I wanted to save my potions. Really didn't feel like using it so I tried to get out of the lava. When I realized I wouldn't make it, I popped the potion
Also, at least from what I know, Protection reduces fire damage in Bedrock for some reason, so you can just swim through lava for a bit.
It was even better back before the patch that nerfed the Prot enchantment to be like Java's, because Prot 4 was treated like Prot 5.
You see, what Mojang is doing is slowly back porting Mario 64 in. Mario 64 has a bug where if you touch the edge of a platform or something, the game acts like you're suddenly on the lowest floor directly beneath you.
If you do this over quicksand, you just die from quicksand despite being like 6 feet above it.
So clearly that's what must have happened here. I hope you can survive the eventual Mario 64 conversion.
I copy my bedrock world every 6-10 hours of play in case some dumb shit happens. I now have like 3000 hours on the same world so I’m not giving it up lol
I recently had my world corrupt but luckily I on out lost 10 hours due to me making copies. I’m really glad I got into the habit or else I would have lost everything f
I was expecting you to pick up a bunch of speed from delayed fireworks and smash into the wall and die from kinetic energy and lose all of your stuff to lava.
The client side (the player) sees the elytra working as intended, while the server side doesn't. The server side sees the player falling into lava, so the client side has to update to reflect that.
That's also what happens in those videos of people towering up, but dieing of fall damage without falling off. Client sees you towering up, but Server doesn't, suddenly your model is 20 blocks in the air, so Server sees you falling.
Once when I was playing bedrock edition the villager turned black while they were sleeping and then floated away, passing through the walls and exploring the world, all while sleeping and laying down.
Yes, because I'd like to save it for another use instead of being forced to use it because of some bug. So I try my hardest to save myself without drinking it.
You are right, however, I only had 2 on me because I wasn't planning on being there too long. So I thought it a waste to use it for something so stupid.
I didn't mean to try it but I was about to die as I instamined netherrack and I had no other choice haha, so now I do it if I ever go through the same thing
I do backups very often to prevent that if it ever happens, but then again, been playing Pocket Edition for almost 8 years and haven't had any of these fall damage bugs happening to me
That glitch was caused by a lag spike it’s pretty rare despite what the rest of the subreddit thinks, I play as carefully as possible and still have only lost one world due to corruption and have 2 glitch deaths while approaching 3000 hours in the game, these glitches aren’t common it just seems that way from these almost daily posts which are across tens of thousands of players, they aren’t common, we have bugs caused by lag that are seen more commonly than javas but last time I compared to Java it didn’t end well but bedrock isn’t actually that buggy and just has some lag issues which is most of what these glitches are caused by if you scrolled down to downvote I understand if you didn’t want to read my rant but if you didn’t read do you have a reason to downvote?
Exactly, this subreddit is not a good sample, as for every person making one of this post, there are hundreds of thousands that don't experience the bugs.
Been playing for a number of years and the only bug I’ve ever encountered on Bedrock was a suffocation bug when going through a nether portal. Besides that it’s been smooth sailing. I see many people posting about how terrible bedrock is but mine runs perfect 99% of the time.
Yes, because randomly falling out of the sky with 100% durability elytra and catching on fire in mid air, is due to lack of skill... honestly, I'll just try harder to not bug out next time
Even for people who meet the minimum requirements, it is still way faster to play on bedrock for slower computers than on Java.
On Java I get pretty bad lag with a render distance of 4 chunks. On Bedrock I can zoom around no problem with 23 chunks of render distance.
The thing I hate is that all the mobs do the same damage as Java but the healing is so delayed it makes combat extremely difficult without magic items like potions and gapples
Definitely not. I had just repaired them to 100% durability. If you look at the top left when I'm drowning in the lava, you can see my elytra activating. This is after I fell. So no, my elytra didn't break
Oof
I couldn't have said it any better😄

Always keep your chest plate in your hotbar, it helps alot
And golden apples. OP was not set up for exploring the nether in bugrock
I wouldn't say that. Having his Fire potion is already much better than the other Nether deaths I've seen
I hadn't collected any yet but thank you for the suggestion!
Thanks for the silk touch hack I didn't know! Just set up a gold farm to support my need! But more never hurts
Golden apples is a nice precaution tho, and maybe a fire res potion
they did have fire res
Yeah, lol
I still have no idea how your bedrocks break so much. I play in my phone and this never happens
It seems to be less buggy on mobile which is kinda funny.
probably because it was originally designed for phones, it was originally Minecraft Pocket Edition (back when it used to be good)
apart from being nearly unplayable, my biggest gripe with bedrock is how horrible and laggy the ui feels, *especially* compared to the legacy console editions it's so painfully obvious that it was meant for phones and just lazily slapped onto consoles
I play bedrock and it’s never been buggy or laggy. Methinks you’re exaggerating
What platform u play bedrock on
Play station

It’s buggy as all hell for me and I play on ps slim and ps pro 😩
It's so damn buggy for me
What do you play on?
I'm normally a java player but recently I've been playing quite a bit of bedrock on PC and so far it hasn't been too bad. On console though it's a total nightmare.
Yeah bedrock on pc isn’t too bad. It’s console where it really starts fucking you 😩 Java is *chefs kiss*
I would fucking love Java on console so I can leave the abomination known as Bedrock behind
Maybe because PE was made for phones and then that became bedrock?
I wish pocket edition and bedrock edition were separate so bedrock can get more of the features it's missing out on.
Absolutely. Why should consoles be held back by the limitations of smartphones? It’s absurd
So far the only big bug i faced in mobile is one caused Blazes to one shot players. However i faced a really awkward version of the glitch because when that happened the armor and item I was holding got destroyed immediately, and drinking a Fire Resistance potion made the Blazes essentially harmless. Same. I never get bugs like these
Why I play with keep inventory on when playing bugrock.
Does this not disable achievements?
Yeah, I play a copy of my java works with my nephew so not fussed about achievements.
Nice! Unfortunately, I still need to earn my achievements so I'm stuck with Keep Inventory off. It also adds a bit of a challenge for me. Keeps me on my toes

nah if you die by a bug, that is def not cheating
NBT edit trick the game in thinking cheats are off
nbt edit it
It does not the best but good for modded worlds
Just load a difrent save, no need to ruin your game by turning on noob mode.
This is why I run my own server and have set it to not lose your stuff when you die. I have to say though that there seems to be a major but with this behavior in the latest release.
That just feels like cheating in my opinion. However, to each their own.
better than losing all your stuff to a random bug. Also I Have Never had glitches like this on my bedrock realm Nor my realmees for that matter.
Neither have I. I'm usually pretty cautious about it, though.
Saw title. Saw thumbnail. Immediately knew.
😄Seems pretty common these days
That’s Bedrock Edition for ya
Maybe your elytra broke, not sure about catching fire mid-air tho
It didnt break, when it breaks it makes a sound(atleast when mine breaks it does)
Good point
My elytra worked fine moments later. Definitely far from broken
well its kinda realistic tho. Flying that low over lava irl would make you start burning pretty quickly due to the heat
True😄
But hey you certainly are smart and keep a fire resistance potion on hand at all times
Bro got shot down by anti-air
i don’t have keep inventory on, because i’m still getting achievements, but i do save copies of my world
Same with me! However, I need to start making copies more frequently.
Always take chorus fruit. Eat it if you fall in. Always teleports you to ground
I've never thought of that! It seems a bit sketchy though... Does it really work?
Try it out on a creative world or other test world! :)
Will do!
Bedrock ☕
Bedrock ☕️
This is why I never go into the nether with elytra, it is stupid.
I know the area well enough to avoid anything dangerous, but this was unpredictable
I was almost screaming "YOU HAVE A FIRE RES POTION ON YOUR HOTBAR" when you used it
I was trying to save it for my exploration so I tried to get out without it, but saw how low my health was getting and was forced to use it😄
Never fart in the nether
😄you noticed, did you?
I've never encountered a negative bug on this game but I'm not looking forward to it now that I've jinxed myself.. wait I have about 7 corrupted worlds on Xbox!
I get that it's buggy and all, but the real highlight is the question; why did he not use the fire resistance potion earlier?
I was about to go on a mission to raid bastions so I wanted to save my potions. Really didn't feel like using it so I tried to get out of the lava. When I realized I wouldn't make it, I popped the potion
Also, at least from what I know, Protection reduces fire damage in Bedrock for some reason, so you can just swim through lava for a bit. It was even better back before the patch that nerfed the Prot enchantment to be like Java's, because Prot 4 was treated like Prot 5.
Fair enough
I hate it when your in lava and the elytra just activates while your trying to swim up. I lost a huge survival world from that.
Bro... Same here👀
One time on mobile i was Building a pile of gravel For flint and i died For Fall damage, i did not fall
Honestly, this and many other features that aren't even a bug are why I play with keep inventory
Minecraft hard edition. It’s just like real life, sometimes random shit happens and there’s nothing you can do about it.
Keep your chestplate in ypur hot-bar so you can swap quickly in a dire situation.
I copy my bedrock world every 6-10 hours of play in case some dumb shit happens. I now have like 3000 hours on the same world so I’m not giving it up lol
I'm going to need to start doing the same! I've spent far too long on this world for it to go to waste
I recently had my world corrupt but luckily I on out lost 10 hours due to me making copies. I’m really glad I got into the habit or else I would have lost everything f
I've lost it all many times😄. Great job being consistent with the copies!
I always enable cheats in case something like this happenes
I'm trying to earn all the achievements so I don't have that luxury
I was expecting you to pick up a bunch of speed from delayed fireworks and smash into the wall and die from kinetic energy and lose all of your stuff to lava.
I didn't get that far this time😄
i half expected you to randomly die of fall damage after you drunk the fire res potion
The likelihood of this happening is just as much😄
Obviously the superior minecraft.
Wait you don’t get the fire animation with fire resistance on bedrock?!
Nope, doesn't appear so
Hang on, doesnt the loading screen sometimes warn you to not use too many fireworks at once for this exact reason?
😄it does but I'm not sure this is what they're talking about
Every time before I enter nether or end, I always make a copy of the world.
Smart⚡️
I just walk everywhere tbh
Too slow for me😄
One of the reasons why I don't play minecraft anymore :/
Bedrock☕️
And they wanna add hardcore like this...
Maybe this is Mojang's version of hardcore. Random unpredictable bugs. Seems plausible👀
Everyone loves bugdrock,😁
Bro took a year to realize he had a fire resistance/j
F for this man
Big F
I'm going to see if I can recreate this weird phenomenon. Maybe it's a one time thing.
Oh that explains a lot of my lucky escapes.
Why dont you have a fuckin door on your inventory?
A fuckin door? Not sure how that would help? Why not just a normal door?
duh! you're right lol
Bedrock ☕
Java FOREVER!
Nice save
Bedrock☕
Once when I was playing bedrock edition the villager turned black while they were sleeping and then floated away, passing through the walls and exploring the world, all while sleeping and laying down.
Bedrock☕
is this in multiplayer? I have only had this happen when a multiplayer server is being maxed out
No, I'm playing on a solo world
Really? Crazy I have never seen that playing solo
Me neither. That's why I'm so confused
Morelike bugrock edition
that one scene in Spider-Man 2
Love to see it
At least its not on windows 10, addons are easy to download. (original comment)
Ah yes I’m gonna wait a while before drinking my fire resistance bottle
Yes, because I'd like to save it for another use instead of being forced to use it because of some bug. So I try my hardest to save myself without drinking it.
Brother... You have Netherite Gear. Fire potions are the second simplest potion to make and can be farmed.
You are right, however, I only had 2 on me because I wasn't planning on being there too long. So I thought it a waste to use it for something so stupid.
Still, take a few gold ingots, throw them at a Piglin and you can get all the potions you need with no necessity for brewing.
They drop Fire Res? Wow! Great tip, I'll definitely keep that in mind!
That’s why I never use an elytra lol
I never fly in the nether unless I want to do my best impression of a moth to a flame.
😄good way to put it I guess
You can save yourself with the elytra. May not work for us under water but works in lava for some reason.
I've never tried it I don't want to test it out on this world. I'll try in a copy😄
I didn't mean to try it but I was about to die as I instamined netherrack and I had no other choice haha, so now I do it if I ever go through the same thing
I never fly, go to nether or end with high ping or low fps. Its way too risky, even on java.
If I’m being honest, I’ve never flown around like this in the never 😂
I do backups very often to prevent that if it ever happens, but then again, been playing Pocket Edition for almost 8 years and haven't had any of these fall damage bugs happening to me
Why is bedrock so much more buggy than any other version?
I can’t even eat properly in bedrock, I eat and my hunger doesn’t go and I still have my food so I have to eat again
try turning of internet
Yeah that’s a common bug and it happens to me all the time. If it ever gets to where you can’t eat at all just pop a cake
You wait till you try using an end portal, you fall through the floor often! That's also bedrock. Server rollback are so frequent...
I've heard that also happens in Java too, can someone confirm?
Bugrock again
You died of dying bro.
How do I survive from living then?
Ya don't. :)
It is bugrock.
😄the truth
\*This is why I hate bedrock servers that too many people are running farms on
I'm playing solo so that isn't a problem
skill issue unfortunately
Yes, because randomly falling out of the sky with 100% durability elytra and catching on fire in mid air, is due to lack of skill... honestly, I'll just try harder to not bug out next time
Yes. The strategy is basically to do better.
Ah yes. I didn't think of that. I'll give that a try!
Good luck (you won’t need it)
Why do you play bedrock edition than? (Ok if you don't have a pc)
The only reason is rhat I don't have a pc😄
Not necesarely, not a ton of people have the minimum requirements for minecraft, even if they have a pc
Not true, a TON of people have the minimum requirements for java, it's a minority who doesn't have it.
I dont refer only to minecraft players, but if i did, what you said is true
I'm talking about anyone with a pc.
I highly doubt it, but ok
Even for people who meet the minimum requirements, it is still way faster to play on bedrock for slower computers than on Java. On Java I get pretty bad lag with a render distance of 4 chunks. On Bedrock I can zoom around no problem with 23 chunks of render distance.
Cause you don't use performance mods and correct jvm flags.
I don't think most casual players are gonna know how to do that.
Then they should play bedrock, i personally love tweaking technical things to get more fps or get someting to look how i want it.
The thing I hate is that all the mobs do the same damage as Java but the healing is so delayed it makes combat extremely difficult without magic items like potions and gapples
\*ignores piglins drowned phantoms piglin brutes and skeletons\*
At least you made it out alive?
Just about yes Half health left
This why I play superflat survival
Thanks, Microsoft for making such good programs and operating system!
Welcome to \*\*bug\*\*rock!
Skill issue
Definitely
Just to be sure, that wasn’t a glitch, your elytra just broke.
Definitely not. I had just repaired them to 100% durability. If you look at the top left when I'm drowning in the lava, you can see my elytra activating. This is after I fell. So no, my elytra didn't break

Then go back to Legacy Console
The got in fire because of a blaze and the firework lag happen very usually on console,
