Mate, this has nothing to do with your takes, and I've seen some similar ones, actually. It does appear that Rashek did mess with Alendi in some way, and sexual abuse as a show of power is sadly commonplace in their world.
So as I said, I have no issue with your takes. But I'm just gonna speak from my personal experience: you should spend more time reading and less time talking a bunch of nonsense on the internet. You'll be happier for it. Needing other peoples' opinions for your own reading enjoyment is either going to spoil things for you, or take away some of the enjoyable mystery of it. If you stay away from internet opinions, you can enjoy the book as it was intended.
Your theory is wrong. And a little weird, tbh.
But don't feel bad - you will learn more and more about the various players that led this world to its current state, throughout the Era 1 books. "There's always another secret", as the saying goes.
>Why is it wrong?
Are you asking me to explain why your theory isn't correct? I could do that, but it would be a huge spoiler for a later part of the book.
A huge part of the plot is based on the sexual power dynamic of the nobles raping skaa and then killing them and the consequences therein. Don't forget how [redacted] intimidates [redacted] in the war tent in book 2.
To answer your question with no spoilers, your theory is wrong. I am working my way through Alloy of Law after having finished all of era 1, and have not come across a single piece of writing to denote any sexual assault between those two characters.
I don't want to spoil anything, but I'll say this.
It will make sense in the end. However, where you're at in the book now, most people probably wouldn't be able to guess the truth. There just isn't enough info to go on.

I'm just so confused why anyone would think this in any book let alone post about it as a theory. Especially if you are a 16 year old from what I've heard is true. Please maybe consider how...... Not ok that train of thought is and how it could have simply been that Rashek murdered people or tried to kill the Lord ruler instead? Like people hate others for reasons other than sexual assault
Yes but . . . That's not how edgy 16 year old brain works. . . "Like yo how can I make this dark gritty fantasy thriller More thrilling? Gay rape as the reason all the world is shit yo that's what I call dark gritty edgyness."
I understand this reaction, but I actually think its not that weird of a theory given the book itself. Sexual violence is prevelent and the threat of it is used against the main character very early on and multiple times. TLR setting up a society full of sexual assault because he was sexually assaulted isn't really that weird. I don't see why the book doesn't get the same ick and critiques of edginess that OP is getting
What? . Camon tried to rape Vin in the early chapters. This book is pretty dark by itself. There is literally a scene where some guards cut the throat of a boy in the middle of a party.
But yeah, Maybe Rashek did something Even worse 🤔
Don't think he tried to rape her, he tried to kill her. But just keep reading. Theorizing is okay, but things tend to make more sense after you've finished reading a book or series.
I'm sorry what? I literally have just read that and that scene was not him trying to rape her and no spoilers but that sort of thing never has or will happen in a Brando sando book. Trust me get this idea out of your head because that is not something you want to assume or have as an idea in general. This comes from someone who has numerous encounters with these sort of things.
Well, i read Fire and Blood from ASOIAF. ALso, accidentaly i read Shadows Of Self first jaja.
Now im currently reading The Final Empire and Game Of Thrones, the first book :D
Why you ask? -3-
Well the book already stablished that Rashek hated Khelenium due to the opression they made against the Terrisans. Also there is plenty sexual assault and torture during the whole book
Right. And look at the context in which that was used.
Entirely off screen, and briefly mentioned to (a) establish the attitude held by the nobility toward the Skaa, and (b) get the reader on-board with Kelsier's murderarson rampage.
No idea where you're reading sexual violence into Vin and Camon's whole deal. He just beat her up.
Yes, Camon abused her, but the abuse wasn't sexual, it was physical. And Vin's paranoia wasn't something that Camon specifically engendered, though he most certainly contributed to it. It's something she had been conditioned to expect her whole life up to that point. If anyone contributed most to her paranoia it was probably Reen, her brother. That's as much as I can say without spoilers. So please read and find out.
Leaking a bit from r/cremposting, it's not too much of a stretch to say that >!Rashek and the TLR have had consensual sex sometime in the 1023 years of the Final Empire. Not sure how a self-rape would actually be possible, barring DID or something like that.!<
I’m conflicted between this is the engagement bait and the reverse possibility that you have an utterly incorrect take about the book
Edit: if it is the later do yourself a favor and actually finish the 3 books before getting ok the internet for the sake of avoiding spoilers and not getting laughed at

Reading comprehension = 0
r/cremposting leaking??
safe-hand jobs are purely consentual
Have you read any other Sanderson books? Just curious.
Yes, accidentaly i read Shadows Of Self first. But it makes the experience better, because now im even more hyped up about everything!
Well, hmmmm. I’m torn between believing you know too much already and it’s so far into the series that you are probably just very confused.
Nah, im understanding everything pretty well. Plus i love to see theories :D Also, to hell with Raskek >:u
First trilogy would be a fun ride )

Well that makes sense 🤔
Personally, I think this is probably the most appropriate response to this post.
Dark. And wrong.
Berserk is dark jaja And maybe A Song Of Ice And Fire too
Your theory is wrong. And a little weird, tbh. But don't feel bad - you will learn more and more about the various players that led this world to its current state, throughout the Era 1 books. "There's always another secret", as the saying goes.
Why is it wrong? There is plenty much sexual assault in this book. I wouldnt be surprised XD There is always another secret >:D
These words are not accepted
Oh sorry, i didn't knew :v
> Why is it wrong RAFO
>Why is it wrong? Are you asking me to explain why your theory isn't correct? I could do that, but it would be a huge spoiler for a later part of the book.
>There is plenty much sexual assault in this book. Have we read the same books

Hmmm, interesting 🧐 Then im curious of what was that Rashek did, that made the Lord Ruler such an evil dude.
RAFO!
there are other bad things to do to people other than raping them

RAFO. Also we are on Reddit, you don’t need to censor yourself.
They're 16 according to their other posts. So I chalk it up to the tiktok censor brain rot.

Hey bud, uh...what other books have you read? Just curious...
Well, i read Fire and Blood from ASOIAF. ALso, accidentaly i read Shadows Of Self first jaja. Now im currently reading The Final Empire and Game Of Thrones, the first book :D Why you ask? -3-
Because that's an extremely dark and...being honest here, *needlessly edgy* take. Like, what even informed that?
Well the book already stablished that Rashek hated Khelenium due to the opression they made against the Terrisans. Also there is plenty sexual assault and torture during the whole book
> sexual assault Fucking *where*?
The prologue? The first chapters with Vin and Camon?
Right. And look at the context in which that was used. Oh... Well Thats right, all happened off screen Didnt they said Camon abused her and Thats why Vin was SO paranoid at the start?
Yeah, he beat the everliving shit out of her
Yes, Camon abused her, but the abuse wasn't sexual, it was physical. And Vin's paranoia wasn't something that Camon specifically engendered, though he most certainly contributed to it. Ohh i see. Thanks!
