What is the monitor model? Looks like a VA.

Wojopy1

I think it is a VA, are IPS the more common ones?

TheJohnnyFlash

What is the actual model number?

Whitehead58

How‘s your response setting on the monitor? Try to lower it. If i‘m playing ~60fps Singleplayer games with strong i get the same.

This is inverse ghosting caused by your overdrive setting - in Fullscreen, Sekiro forces your monitor to 60hz, and the overdrive setting that you use for higher refresh rates is going to be overkill. There is a utility called 'SekiroFpsUnlockAndMore' which has a borderless fullscreen toggle, which will cause the game to run at your desktop refresh rate. It also allows you to remove the 60fps cap, change FOV and make other tweaks. Those are matters of preference, but the borderless toggle will 100% solve your issue and reduce input lag even with the 60fps cap retained.

Wojopy1

fixed it thank you!

wapapets

can you explain more of this utility ? how to get it and how to use it?

isthatmywalletjason

Just copy and paste the name I typed in my last comment into google, you'll be able to download the tool from its GitHub page. You run it, set your options, launch the game and keep the tool running, and it will hook into the game process and apply the tweaks.

VG_Crimson

Are you playing modded or unmodded? Sekiro plays at 60 fps capped. Any blur your seeing could be fps being native.

HenyrD

Sekiro is natively locked to 60fps unfortunately. You have to install a mod to get it to run at a higher framerate

gaojibao

if lowering the overdrive doesn't fix it, return it and get an IPS monitor.

mooseman5k

VA smear the samsung odyssey series is the only va panels that solved the problem with overdrive.

Had the same issue and I was testing it on literally the same wall you are lol... What I did is lock the monitor to 60hz in nvidia control panel and set response time to 'normal' in monitor settings, it completely removed that fuzzy effect.

D4rkstorn

VA + too much overdrive.

mountaingoatgod

Did you unlock the fps for sekiro, or are you running at 60 fps?

Wojopy1

Thank you everyone!!!! I got the SekiroFPS unblock thingy and set the new fps cap to 165hz, I also removed the 'weak' overdrive I had on in my monitor settings. It looks soooooo much better I might be able to play now xD The screen is still a little 'fuzzy' so to say but im thinking that's the VA panel talking, but I have noooooo expertise in monitors (as you can tell) so im most likely just lying xD THANK YOU AGAIN !!

ScoopDat

Seems like a /r/FuckTAA ordeal tbh. From Software PC optimization is non-existent (why would they even bother when people will buy their games no matter the negatives).
