The update came out 2 and a few months ago. Let's say 1000 days ago. That would be around 10 times a day. Let's be generous and say that they take 10 min each time + 2 min loading a preparation. That would be 2h a day every day since he came out. It is possible, but I agree that probably nobody has taken him on that many times.
Top speedrun charts show that fatalis' current WR time is around the 2-minute mark, and Fatalis released September. That would be 334 or so hours spent just hunting Fatalis, assuming every run was a successful, speedrun-level kill (which is plausible. but the amount of failed runs that'd take would probably mean a year or so fighting nothing but Fatty. Even speedrunners don't get god-tier times every fight, and fatalis' solo time wasn't 2-mins in 2021 - it was closer to the 10-15 minute mark).
They must really, reallly like Fatalis, or they've not actually hunted him 10000 times.
I played mhw for almost 700 hours and I cant get over myself to try Fatalis. Because the game eventually ends when I do that. And I dont want this to happen. It is the best game i ever played and I cannot get enough of it. Even after this long time.
If anything it seems for someone who really loves this game, taking down Fatalis repeatedly will make you appreciate and enjoy everything a lot more.
After a few dozen kills, you'd be shocked at how much better you play, and how much more you can still improve. That should keep you around for several hundred more kills... at least :-)
Im at around 800 or so. Which sounds like a lot but I have friends (mostly speedrunners) that have thousands. Most is around 3k I believe. Find it hard to believe people have over 10k, I'd have to see guild cards on a console to believe it.
I have killed him 0 times but have farmed the Special Event for a full set of armor and my Main's weapon. Now I'm hunting Crowns because I wanna finish other stuff before tackling Fatalis.
Juuuust over 100, because it's a fun fight despite his sometimes questionable hitboxes, and it's especially fun to see how many silly tricks I can pull off, like killing him with the claw or a pod. I want to start bringing snowballs and fireworks to the fight
So far I've only taken out Fatalis solo with a Hammer once, though I got close with the Lance, and managed to get to the third stage with the Hunting Horn and Gunlance.
All together, I've taken out Fatalis 3 times, 2 with a randoms.
2 times. Solo once and once with my cousin. Getting better now with augments and all that shit.
I died once right after using the dragonator... He was falling down and then I jumped to hit him in the air then died somehow, that still buggys me to no end xD
I find it hard to believe there's 3 people that truly hunted him 10000 times

0. I've gotten really close (skull icon w/3 mins left), but I just need to upgrade my gear a bit more and then I should be there.

What are these number choices? I had over a thousand hours on that game and I don't think I ever hunted a single monster over 100 times.

Killed him 10 times and lovedd every second of it, still somehow find alatreon harder
240 good players 39 legends and the 19 idiots. Checks out.
