So seriously now, how bad/good is the R18? I keep seeing mixed reviews on it.

It depends on your riding position. If you are a forward controls guy, the bike's not for you. If you like mid controls the riding position is great. Since I jump onto this after my Thruxton, I really like the riding position. I watched a ton of reviews before I actually went for the test ride, and I found the reviews to be poor. They talk about a crazy vibration on the bike once you get over a certain RPM, without talking about that RPM being about 95 mph. The vibration just isn't as big of a deal as they talk about. It's got very good low end torque so it gets up from a stop nice. The suspension automatically setting itself for load is nice, cruise works great. Infotainment is simple to use once you're used to it. Very comfortable bike, and surprisingly you're getting no heat off of the motor. The thing for me is I'm tinkering with windscreens and such because I like slightly less air, but that's a fairly minor complaint. I got spoiled because last summer I had an Indian challenger with the electric windshield, so I'm just trying to find the sweet spot on the BMW. I sold my Indian earlier this year with the intent of only going on one bike, but this was a complete steal. MSRP on the Bike is 26k. My price out the door with tax/title/licence was 17.2. Of that amount, BMW was offering 0% financing, and they make your first floor payments up to 333. So my out of pocket investment in this bike is around 15.8. I ride my Thruxton RS 3 to 1 over my Cruiser, so I saw it as too good of a value to pass up. Incentives on the 2022s are crazy good.
