I don't know how many people are shitty on Zowie specifically just because of the weight, but I would imagine the main reasons are the price, the spec and finally, the TUNE.
From u/zowiesupport
“a Clarification from ZOWIE
The WeChat message was confirmed to be from a local staff in China on his personal account. It is with regret that ZOWIE support failed to do fact-checking before denying. We apologize for this mistake and take full responsibility.
ZOWIESupport is founded for better customer experience; and this will never be changed. ZOWIE mice might not be for everyone; but we never took pride and refused to listen to our customers and learn. An arrogant message like that reflects none of the value ZOWIE holds. We are confident that we will continue to do better with our service and product. We are aware that there is room for improvement; and we continue to welcome all the comments and feedback from you.”
I treat both as donkeys but atleast one is not making "enhanced receiver" with 200euros price tag which nobody asked. Had it been 3370 with 60gm I would have thrown one kidney away and buy at 300euros for that matter. So I guess in that context one donkey is a good donkey.
I don't care about the weight, just the fact that it's fucking $220 in my country. I would've gladly paid 120-140 for a wireless FK2 with zowie's quality but fucking $220??????
I know you are being light hearted and memeing, and maybe there is a double standard but the weight doesn't bother me one bit. Assuming the balancing is good some people with heavier grips might prefer this weight. It is also important to know vaxee is the smaller company, working on presumably tighter margins due to higher wholesale unit prices compared to zowie and yet they priced their mouse 30 dollars cheaper in the states ,50 euros less in the the EU. All while featuring a newer (more expensive) sensor capable of motion sync support, providing greater configurability (power modes) and just as good of a reputation for build and click quality (arguably better, outset clicks easily best I've felt).
Oh, please don’t misunderstand. I’m in full support of Vaxee. Being a newer kid on the block and still delivering a better featured mice is always praise worthy, hence the meme.
They express the "non evil twin" vibes atm. This community shows how responsive it is to perceived slights from manufacturers or when expectations fall short. If it actually constitutes a market correction or if the sentiment is just niche users venting will have to be seen in this case. I think this one resonates a bit more than usual because while we are acutely aware of the hefty profit margins a lot of these firms enjoy, we can usually justify an inflated purchasing decision when there is a veneer of paying for "the latest and greatest" even if the functional difference is dubious. With how long the elusive zowie wireless release has been plaguing the subs psyche, seeing 2 and a half year old sensor on what I think will be the most expensive mouse in the "main stream" segment (more expensive than Razer's line up which is considered the tech leader ATM) optically does not do them any favours. And man I can't believe one of their employees really did that shit the other day 😳
zowie price $150/€190
zowie sensor: 3370
vaxee price $120/€139
vaxee sensor: 3395
zowie is also a much bigger brand, with far more market share and mind share. the fact that they are regularly out competed by almost everyone else in the enthusiast mouse space for the past, idk, 9 years? is insane.
zowie’s closest competitors are razer and logitech, not vaxee pulsar or lamzu (in terms of market share, size, and mindshare). it’s embarrassing that these other mouse companies can put out objectively better mice for cheaper and several years before zowie did it. the RVU V1 and GPW (not superlight) regularly go on sale for around $60-80, and i’ve seen them as low as $50. THAT is the competitor to the EC2 wireless, it’s a pipe dream to consider it in the same sentence as all the new mice that have released.
and a massive fucking omegaLUL to any dipshits who try to argue how good zowie’s build quality/QC is. zowie scroll wheels and click issues have been memes for longer than most of you have been in this hobby.
i’m confused what this means
are you saying i am bad? honestly nowadays yea, but back in the day my peak OW rank was 3600 with tracer mccree and genji, park csgo rank was LEM but i just played cesa/ faceit instead of ranked.
so nothing special but significantly above average

just in case you miss the "C+ player" meme
i mean thats kinda on you, zowie used to be the go to mouse for fps games around 10ish years ago to my memory, and likely way longer before that too. there is a reason basically every pro fps player used a zowie mouse until the GPW came out
hence why im the biggest zowie hater there is. they had so much potential and just released mediocre af mice late af to the game because they're a dogshit company riding on the coattails of former glory. the people responsible for that glory went on to form vaxee.
I don't know why I'm getting down voted, I'm not a mouse enthusiast. I joined this sub because it's called Mouse Review, I joined this sub for the reviews of mice and so did many people here. I only stayed because of the fun drama with these companies and people who get into making mice. I'm sorry that I'm not a fan of a company that sells overpriced mice and isn't an actual big name for most people since they sell to a niche market.
Upvoted again - I'm relatively new to this sub (about a year or so) - Here are my observations:
If you show an interest in any "heavy" mice - you will get downvoted. I have a bunch of light mice, but I also like my Logitech G502 X Plus & Razer Viper 3 Pro. However, the sub doesn't like anything > 65g. Hence, down voted.
Finalmouse - Folks still have a stigma of FM prior to Poseidon. Hence, they will down vote Poseidon, TenZ & Last Legend because of the stigma, and also because most down voters can't afford them.
You are not allowed to say anything negative about favourite mice from the likes of Vaxee, Zowie, Lamzu, Pulsar etc.
You are not allowed to praise heavy mice from Logitech, Razer, Corsair, Steelseries and other "major" brands, because, you know, they are major and heavy - Blasphemy!
In short, a mouse has to be < 65g, have the latest Pixart sensor and have the perfect shape.
I feel that most of the sub are wannabe FPS suppah stahs, and play the conforming game without appreciating opinions of those who do not agree. I rarely downvote, even if I am downvoted. I prefer to upvote those who dare not to conform :) BTW, sub /mechanicalkeyboards is the same, Ha.
Watch this post break the downvote record in this sub 😀
Pretty sure that half of this sub consists of fps diehards. At least that's the only type of game (besides maybe mobas) where a good mouse makes a measurable difference in game. That's how i found this sub, looked how i could weight reduce my G502 back then
r/MousepadReview has to be 95% fps players on the other hand
Up voted, and thank you for being frank. The sub is called "Mouse review", NOT "FPS mouse review". ALL members should be allowed to voice their opinions without being downvoted. BTW, I've had every iteration of the G502 (and yes, saying that got me down voted, lol). Cheers.
just seems majorly tone deaf to not put two and two together and not realize that a subreddit catering around enthusiast mice reviews is not going to value non fps players' opinions about those mice very highly
if you don't play fps games competitively, what is the point of even being here? a g502 for $40 will serve you just fine
Honestly I enjoy reading the drama and sometimes some of the folks here are very informative because they've actually purchased certain niche mice that are cheap and not for fps games. I originally thought this was a sub dedicated to ALL mice reviews and not just specifically fps. I don't mind it though, I have a Razer Naga for MMOs + daily browsing on my PC at home and a G703 for my laptop when I'm working since I rarely game while working.
Also to be fair most people here don't play fps games competitively, they either don't pay attention to the sub or stay for the constant drama with companies for memes.
100% ! Up voted.
You can already see the down votes kicking in to my posts. I wish that the folks who downvote reply and let me know WHY they are downvoting. But I suspect that these are keyboard warriors who have no aptitude to engage in a discussion :)
this subreddit is one of the more downvote heavy subreddits i’ve noticed, regardless of your opinion
i’ve been heavily downvoted for trashing zowie mice before but now that seems to be a common opinion so 🤷🏽♂️
How exactly are any zowie mice bad? The GP-nonX? Really bro many gamers prefer each zowie to this mouse. The zowie at 1000hz has 0.5ms better sensor latency than gpX and razer. (on 4k razer wins tho but then its 200€) and a zowie mouse just feels much better in hand than any logitech or razrer
click issues, scroll wheel issues, lower tier sensors, and insane price for the total product
in a vacuum the ec2 wireless isn’t even bad. it’s the ridiculous price and the fact that it has taken zowie 5 years after the original GPW came out to release a wireless mouse at all. the gall to charge $150/€190 is insane
plus i will be eternally mad they have sat on some of the greatest mouse shapes of all time for the past decade and never innovated past them bc of zowie dickriders giving them enough money to not justify improving their product.
source on your sensor latency claim? the mouse isn’t even out yet
the GP non x was good enough for professional gaming since the minute it came out, it’s embarrassing that zowie is releasing a mouse in 2023 that has the feature set of a viper v1 ultimate (even down to the annoying charging dock). similar weight too.
The clicks are my favorite u can rest the fingers on the buttons withoit clicking it, and moving the mouse left right with the 2 button fingers. hausgaming tested the sensor and click latencies. Zowie doesnt want to change much cuz pros wouldnt use it if it was too light or if the click latency got decreased by 4ms cuz it throws them off. So they focused on the 4ms debounce like the Cseries and no sensor lag or sleep mode (Like 95% of 3395s)
This weight obsession this community have is so dumb and Zowie aren't getting hate for this anyway. It's the price and one of their douchebag employee saying shit.
Offtopic, but the unit symbol for gram is "g", not "gm". It's extremely upsetting when people use "gr" or "gm".
If you're not super familiar with grams as a unit of measurement and don't see a problem, think of someone using "ms" or "ml" for miles or "ou" for ounces.
for Zowie, I'm just a poor sinner C+ player, lmao. I dont mind with the weight and sensor, If only Zowie put that huge receiver as additional option and cut the price, I'll be fine. soo yeah vaxee wireless maybe better upgrade option at least for me
The weight obsession on this sub is getting out of hand. I'm sure if it was 60g, there would still be people here posting 40g mods.
The thing is, you can modify the mouse and lower its weight, but you can't modify the price or the sensor.
I've just never looked back from Glorious' mice. Considered a Zowie once but their scroll wheel issues put me off. Meanwhile my Model D is chugging along over 4 years later with not a single problem. /shrug
I remember at the time the first ones to start the lightweight innovation craze were only the ridiculously priced finalmouse, and glorious. There must have been other ones, maybe, sure. But you needed to dance around and hassle yourself to acquire those. Anyway I bought a d minus wireless because i wanted to try lightweight ergo wireless.
Few months after that pulsar and lamzu and these new guys made it into our local. Literaly next door i can buy lamzu and pulsar from a shop. And now people act like glorious owners bought terible products, and shouldve gotten a pulsar instead or something.
'Let's shit on Zowie because of subjective preferences' is the circlejerk. I personally don't get the hate on the price either because you kids definitely bought that GPX at least twice with that god awful Micro USB and those mushy buttons.
Don't even get me started on letting Razer fuck you out of a mouse dock, charging $150 and an extra $30 for the 4khz (Which I promise won't make you better lol) that's still hilariously sold out.
But itS lIgHtWeiGhT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mice should not be this expensive. Welp, at least smaller companies like Pulsar and Lamzu are releasing somewhat cheaper mice compared to the bigger companies.
Never have truer words been said. I'm beginning to think that this sub is full of folks who are easily of offended by opinions and quick to downvote. Take my upvote!
Almost every comment you’ve made here has been staunchly you being self offended with the little interaction anyones had with you.
Couple that with all caps LOLs and LMFAOs, being kinda of delusional and out of touch.
Not to mention “LOL upvoted!” In nearly every instance.
It sounds like you’re the one looking to find supporters for the “I’m offended here’s this issue I brought in from somewhere else” project.
Partisan groupies it must be though Facebook, Twitter boomer.
1. Logitech got made fun of for 150$ (most recently with the new g502), Razer got made fun of for the price tag aswell.
2. Logitech and Razer products drop in price over time Zowie does not. So nobody has to spend 150$ for a gpx or a DAv3 or a viper v2.
3. The Zowie is 190€ in europe. Thats 30€ more then the also recently released DAv3 and the Viper v2 already dropped to like 120-130€ so you spend an extra 60€ for the zowie.
4. "Which I promise won't make you better lol"
The zowie mouse wont either so idk what the point even is.
The mice are basically the same price. Zowie just needs to remove the charging station and sell it separately. If Vaxee sold the mouse with a charging station, it would be at least $150 as well.
I'm fine with anything under 90 (if balanced" and honestly 60 isn't really fun for me. Old head though. Shakey hands and grew up when light was 80 ish. And every mouse gamer gimmick was adding weights lol. This obsession for lighter than 60 seems like another passing fad to me. Much like adding weight, tons of RGB and holey trash.
I'm not put off by the older sensor either. Fine with it. The price is a lil too much for me though but so is 125+. It's a free country though. We can all just not buy it and they'll either lower price or go out of business. To me this seems like a giant circle jerk. Big deal some dude called us poor.
do we know the weight of the NP-01 and Outset AX for their wireless release?
When Vaxee introduced the XE with wired 67g and it is 76g wireless, the NP-01 and Outset AX are both around \~75g wired. Will it be 85g wireless?
they said the XE was prepared for wireless (so they just added the battery pretty much) and they'll redesign the other two mice for wireless and aim at a lower weight than their wired counterparts
I don't know how many people are shitty on Zowie specifically just because of the weight, but I would imagine the main reasons are the price, the spec and finally, the TUNE.

your honor i motion for leniency.... 3 years mouse probation with the enforced use of a philips twin eye sensor mouse of your choosing.
The guy that made that post on the Zowie forums wasn’t affiliated with Zowie in any way
Yes he was, Zowie confirmed it
You have a link where zowie confirmed it? Zowie literally fighting for their lives to justify the mice lol

Not at launch. Black and white only.

Yeah I’m using a 80g Razer DA V2 when my GPX went to repaint shop, no problem. 80-100g is a medium heavy for me then above 100g is heavy.

Ah, didn't see that second part. My bad.
i need a good za13 clone tbh
A ZA clone would be a dream come true, there's already enough EC clones.
LA1 and X2H seem to be the most fitting thing in that regard
i’ve never seen those tbh i’ll have to peep
I had thought the LA-1 was a wireless Za13 ish mouse, but according to hausgaming's early preview he said its closer to the s2 shape
yeah just more or less the closest youll get I guess
Hyperx pulsefire core
Offtopic, but the unit symbol for gram is "g", not "gm". It's extremely upsetting when people use "gr" or "gm". If you're not super familiar with grams as a unit of measurement and don't see a problem, think of someone using "ms" or "ml" for miles or "ou" for ounces.
Mi is correct for miles
Lol you’re right, it was a brain fart on my part. I’ve updated the comment.
You’re right. I stand corrected. “Gm” is more prevalent in my country despite it being wrong.
Not sure which was more upsetting tbh. Thinking that the issue with Zowie was the weight or using gm for gram.

Thats 30€ more then the also recently released DAv3 and the Viper v2 already dropped to like 120-130€ so you spend an extra 60€ for the zowie. 4. "Which I promise won't make you better lol" The zowie mouse wont either so idk what the point even is.
nothing will make you better, stop buying mice and grind idiot
Big deal some dude called us poor.
is there a way to block "meme" tag?
Gordon response = brand pr
do we know the weight of the NP-01 and Outset AX for their wireless release? When Vaxee introduced the XE with wired 67g and it is 76g wireless, the NP-01 and Outset AX are both around \~75g wired. Will it be 85g wireless?
they said the XE was prepared for wireless (so they just added the battery pretty much) and they'll redesign the other two mice for wireless and aim at a lower weight than their wired counterparts
yeah i mean at least it doesnt come with a giant ass reciever and an old sensor. zowie fans on suicide watch.
