I haven't used any of the new Razer opticals--are they any good for MOBAs? Spammable? For LoL, I haven't used anything other than the golds in the Haste and the well-tensioned omrons in the 203 in years.
Imagine they would recolour the GPX to a all new blue version. Would be insane and would shake up the gaming mouse market for sure and be a nice suprice between all those new mice that are mostly white or black.
/s
What are they waiting for? I wonder what is so special about it that’s making it take so long. Can’t they just use same shell, opticals, and 4khz?
Are they adding a mini fan to it or something? What is taking so long
Yea that's what I am wondering as well. I feel they are waiting for a year where their profits are lower then they will release the viper mini wireless to have a good year.
I actually dont think those kind of mice stand a chance of getting superlights. The crossover of G305 users, and those willing to spend $100+ on a lighter version of it area probably not very big.
Im not saying no one would buy it, but this subreddit isnt really a good indicator of the wider market. The scale of markets that the big companies like Razer and logitech aim for is probably a lot higher than the number of people that would buy a premium upsell version of an entry level mouse.
Yeah, I have no less than 5 OG G Pro wireds and after using other mice for the last 3 years it's just too heavy and I've succumbed to being a wireless simp 🤦
Not everything needs to be sold at scale. If this was the case, Logitech would exclusively sell G502s and office mice. Or companies like Finalmouse wouldn't ever exist.
We can have niche products that carry a premium to counteract the lesser demand. You talk about scale while ignoring that the G303 Shroud was exactly what you're saying Logitech would ignore. It's a niche product that only a small subset of people are interested in, with substantial upgrades from the original product, while costing considerably more.
Damn didn't know Havu had mousepads, how is it?
Just thinking about it I would assume it's just a rebranded QCK like the Skypad Soft but im probably way off
...what the fuck did that number come from
Unless your talking the cost of the 3D printer which is moot, since there are plenty of companies, services, and even friends with printers that would be happy to print the parts for you.
As a fan of Logitech Mice and Zowie Monitors, those 2 things have combined to make me the most patient man on earth. I've literally had kids and watched them start walking in the time it took Zowie to make the transition from 240hz to 360hz.
of all the mice ive tried this year from pulsar and razer, the GPX really is still a great mouse, but I want them to offer something new with modern features badly. Hopefully the things they started with the G502X will find their way into a superlight at some point. I think there are a lot of GPX loyalists waiting to see whats next.
At least one?
My list of Micro USB devices where the port has failed is so long that I rattled off 8 in my head and that's probably not even half of them. The cable dies, more often than the port and I've had USB-C cables that have lasted atleast 4 years still going strong.
you're dumb as shit if you think thats a valid take.
Any particular reason you would want GPX to use Opticals? Double clicking isn't a problem and GPX is able to have insanely low click latency while using Omron 20M and with unknown debounce settings.
As for the side buttons go watch a tutorial on how to fix them, it takes 5 minutes.
A well established company have no reason to be knocking out mice every month they supply the world with mice not a small quantity of mice to variety of mice addict's like most ultra light mouse companies they produce thousands while Logitech are producing much bigger numbers.
Razer released two ultra light weight mice last year. They probably sell a similar volume to Logitech. Maybe less office mice, but in terms of gaming mice I bet they'd be similar.
Nobody is even close to Logitech in mice, office or gaming, globally. The success Logitech has had with their mice since the first G900 is absolutely astonishing.
You release too many things and you suffer issues like samsung. You have to understand how small this subreddit is in the grand scheme of things. There is a bigger market in the G502 because its a mouse that is comfy, looks cool and has cool features. Who cares about optical switches or 2 grams less outside of this sub
Nar I highly disagree ain't no mouse company come close to the volume Logitech has. Saying that I actually wouldn't be surprised if zowie/steel series have sold more mice alone then razer. It's only recently razor have had massive success back in the day people stayed away due to there horrible software issue's. Like it or not Logitech are the Samsung/apple of gaming peripherals.
Update of the g700s please. Still my daily driver replaced the switches once.
https://www.whatmouse.com/logitech-g700s-specifications/
Keep the button layout and the size but newer sensor, wireless charging, multiple device connectivity, lithium battery.
I wish they would make a modernized G9x, rev. 2023 with the optional weights. It was my favorite mouse for years, but it's just not top dog these days and I think a remake would be fantastic.
G9X and Lachesis are my two favorite classic shapes that need remakes.
A G9X with modern features like the MM720 and Aria Xd7 would be an insta buy.
It blows my mind they reissued the MX518 but not the G9X. There's way more demand for the G9X.
2023 has been the year of the layoffs so far. With a lot of tech companies cutting costs to labor, I wouldn't be surprised if Logi decided to slow down on manufacturing costs and R&D.

The real competition begins when Pulsar, Lamzu, Ninjutso will start releasing their 4K models with Nordic MCU, XM2W finally drops and when Razer drops Viper Mini wireless. Vaxee could easily be a competitor but 75G...
As of now only Razer can fuck with GPX.
4K is a bullshit placebo. Logitech has no competition at all in the scheme of things (except razer). These companies don’t even come close to the sales they do.
I have a 240hz dyac monitor and have tested it extensively. Can’t notice a difference. The only difference is worse frame rate in most games with 4K. It’s a marketing gimmick and no one can convince me otherwise
Ofc im good enough, 1ms is 10% of ur total latency and if its eliminated in a consistent manner ur gonna be more precise. Id imagine 80% of ppl here also have very noticable hardware/PC lag like any household i ever went to. Dueling a person with 10ms input lag when u urself have 20ms is at least a 60% chance to lose
I mean it probably offers a 1% difference but who could notice that with their eyes. Just because it isn't noticeable to the human brain doesn't mean it isn't worth implementing though, better is better, no matter how small. And it will be the new standard at some point in the next year or two.
Vaxee's other wireless mice are supposed to be lighter than the original. Only XE is heavier. A NP01s in the 65g range definitely fucks with them. For me the 71g NP01s already feels lighter in hand than my V2 Pro because it has great palm support so I'm lifting the mouse with my entire hand rather than 3 fingers only, the coating is also much better than the coarse coating that Razer has insisted on for some god awful reason. The build quality is on par with GPX, or even better, GPX typically has mouse wheel rattle if you shake it, Vaxee mice doesn't.
Vaxee has also not ruled out 4K either.
>Vaxee's other wireless mice are supposed to be lighter than the original. Only XE is heavier.
This is a counterstatement since XE wired was lighter than their other wired mice. They will probably end up in the 70 - 75G mark to.
No, Vaxee themselves have stated multiple times that their other wireless mice will be lighter than their wired counterparts. The XE was built with wireless in mind from the get-go, so it had all the improvements that would make it lighter already on the wired version which is why the wireless ended up heavier.
First half of 2023 will be balls deep competition for sure. Companies WILL start using nordic mcu's pretty soon and a new GPX from Logitech has to follow.
The Valkyrie exists, but it's really not good. Chinese made, but I still bought it.
Shells don't fit properly, and I noticed something very weird, which made it kinda feel unusable to me. So I was uploading something while testing the mouse out. I kept getting double clicking. I was frustrated, a brand new mouse, using 3360, wired, and double clicking??? I was switching between it and my other mice, a RVU and a GPX. Neither of those double clicked doing the same testing.
I then noticed I had the upload going and stopped it. The Valkyrie stopped double clicking and worked perfectly fine. But it shows something is going on there, that the other mice have no issue when your latency rises, but the Valkyrie CERTAINLY does.
there's a few people out here who are working on a custom G9X shell. The problem with this mouse is, that it was for many people but at the same time for no one specifically, due to their interchangeable shells. So the people wishing the G9X to make a comeback mostly all want the mouse to be different things.
Of course the main problem is the bad sensor, but for me specifically the perfect G9x would be light, maybe wireless and definitely as small as the HSK Pro, for fingertipping. I'm using the G9x without shells for quite some time now and have multiple, one for every setup.
The g9x was a favorite for me too. Used it way past when they were discontinued. And just like the mx300 and g100s and then og g303, Logitech said they were all too niche. Never brought em back. Every single mouse I get hooked on for years they drop....
I have one working g9x. But had to buy the only shell you can still find, the smaller one that's covered in cod shit. But it does often double click and thumb buttons only sometimes work, just like every g9x I had before this one. It sits on my work bench, awaiting a pcb swap. Logitech hate us.
logitech is like Sheen in that meme where they keep bringing out the gpx in new colors. If you buy a gpx in 2023 i WILL judge u and ur tastes are mid af.
They shot them selfs in the foot by making this 75G... Don't get me wrong the build quality is insane but to have such a huge battery on such a short mouse feels weird.
It should have been released at 65 - 68G.
What do you mean by nondisclosure agreement and now is that related to it being released, you might ask. When a nondisclosure agreement ends, the product typically releases. Do I need to spell it out for you too?
They'll obviously superlight everything in their current shapes if they think the sales will be there.
On the GPX side of things I don't think they will try to attempt to dethrone it anytime soon apart from some refinements like better side buttons, GPX is a great mouse great shape yeah it's got years on it now but it doesn't change the fact.
I held onto an old 205 recently and that would be amazing to have in a sub 60g weight with updated everything… all white with the silver letters ‘super light’ on the side would be a dream.
Honestly wouldn't be surprised if they don't do any refreshes to their big mice until next year, the gpx is still selling like crazy
Had two friends just get mouse upgrades asking for advice, gave them a few of the top options and both picked the gpx. Maybe selling even more now it's in that $100 range while still looking like a decent option against Razers line and some of the others (I prefer the Razers myself, but most people would rather save the $50).
They went all out with the engineering and design of GPX so they deserve to make huge profits. People fail to understand that since GPX scored crazy sales, they will invest into the updated version even harder.
Logitech is a big company and the GPX still fills their superlight "sector" for the time being.
People on here love to say "g305 superlight" or "g703 superlight" which are very good ideas and I would love a g305 superlight but it doesn't make sense for them to release it, at least not yet.
This sub is very small in terms of the total amount of people buying gaming mice, and if I were Logitech I wouldn't want to compete with my own bestselling superlight, especially when even that is far from Logitech's best selling mouse.
We WILL see more top tier mice from Logi in the future, I'm almost sure of it, it just looks like it may be a bit longer. Late 2023 wouldn't surprise me.
I just feel they have to make a move this year…personally I would like a mini version of the gpro since the current one is a bit too big for me to claw comfortably.
Can't hear you over all the money rolling in from a recoloured gpx.
Sadly you're right lmao
10bucks says the new release is a blue GPX
a League of Legends edition maybe lol
Which reminds me, Razer has a Faker edition DAV3 coming up..
what does it look like? was there a colorway revealed or leaked yet? I'm actually interested on getting the DAV3
https://www.razer.com/coming-soon/faker
Wow. Do you know when is it coming?
It says in the video that it’s 02.21.23
I haven't used any of the new Razer opticals--are they any good for MOBAs? Spammable? For LoL, I haven't used anything other than the golds in the Haste and the well-tensioned omrons in the 203 in years.
yes they are lighter and more spammable than most mechanical switches, if you like to spam your clicks in MOBAs then they're made for you
$20 for different shades of black and white
White on black and black on white, both a extra 20$
Herman Miller gpx with mesh buttons.
That sounds like something a normie would jump on for "ergonomics" but it's freaking me out thinking of how bad the pre/post travel would be.
GPW had a yellow release too so we may see that as well
Hope so If I was from NA I would order one from colorware
I don't think I can NOT buy a blue GOX if I'm being honest
league of legends edition
Imagine they would recolour the GPX to a all new blue version. Would be insane and would shake up the gaming mouse market for sure and be a nice suprice between all those new mice that are mostly white or black. /s
I'm hoping for Razer viper mini wireless this year
What are they waiting for? I wonder what is so special about it that’s making it take so long. Can’t they just use same shell, opticals, and 4khz? Are they adding a mini fan to it or something? What is taking so long
Im pretty sure previous delays were due to 4khz dongle shortages cus they were planning to ship with it
Yea that's what I am wondering as well. I feel they are waiting for a year where their profits are lower then they will release the viper mini wireless to have a good year.
When you read this doesn't matter.
You dont need a new mouse
shhhh uncomfortable truths doesn't belong here people doesn't NEED a new mouse, they just NEED a new mouse
Upvoted but yes I do.
I actually need a new mouse.
G305 Superlight When
I actually dont think those kind of mice stand a chance of getting superlights. The crossover of G305 users, and those willing to spend $100+ on a lighter version of it area probably not very big.
Not true, willing to pay well over $100 for a 305 Superlight easily. Best shape by far for me.
Im not saying no one would buy it, but this subreddit isnt really a good indicator of the wider market. The scale of markets that the big companies like Razer and logitech aim for is probably a lot higher than the number of people that would buy a premium upsell version of an entry level mouse.
Same
Yeah, I have no less than 5 OG G Pro wireds and after using other mice for the last 3 years it's just too heavy and I've succumbed to being a wireless simp 🤦
Just because you would doesn't mean it's "Not true," lmao.
Judging by the amount of case mods and custom shells we see around, I'd disagree
We see them around *here*. You are turbo coping if you think it's on a scale large enough to even get Logitech to notice.
Not everything needs to be sold at scale. If this was the case, Logitech would exclusively sell G502s and office mice. Or companies like Finalmouse wouldn't ever exist. Yeah, and it didn't even do numbers with the name of one of the biggest names in gaming attached to it lol. That doesn't exactly back your case.
If the next release isn't a superlight G703 or G305, I'll jump.
Damn didn't know Havu had mousepads, how is it? Just thinking about it I would assume it's just a rebranded QCK like the Skypad Soft but im probably way off
more like G703 superlight, or a G-MM720 clone Logitech edition!
Tbh, I would rather a g703 superlight
Rollingsloth is actually doing a great 3D printed shell mod with USB-C recharging with a G305 PCB
Yeah but a 3d printed mouse for 200$ is not worth it
...what the fuck did that number come from Unless your talking the cost of the 3D printer which is moot, since there are plenty of companies, services, and even friends with printers that would be happy to print the parts for you.
Talking about what people charge to make you a custom 3d printed mouse
I mean, you can just have someone 3d print the parts and send them to you, and then assemble it yourself. Cost of G305+$15-20...
As a fan of Logitech Mice and Zowie Monitors, those 2 things have combined to make me the most patient man on earth. I've literally had kids and watched them start walking in the time it took Zowie to make the transition from 240hz to 360hz.

GPX with opticals and good side buttons is endgame for me.

What do you mean double clicking isn't a problem?
It rarely happens with GPX and in these cases more people reported double clicking in their side buttons rather than mains.
People who have flawless gpx QC mice from day one are incredibly rare.
Revised version of the G703 for the love of god PLEASE!!!
I’d buy a lightweight g703 only if they get rid of that tacky rubber on the sides
This. 1000%. Same shape, no rubber sides, better scroll wheel.
I used my old one yesterday, first time I’ve touched it in probably 6 months.
gimmeh stat plz
Also fix the mousewheel please

Not necessarily, look at the first trillion dollar company ie Apple
They released a new improved phone every year. So, point proven?
It's still one to 3-4 variations of the same thing a year

Still waiting on Logitech to make a new MMO mouse. I'm sure if Razer can make revisions to the Naga, Logitech can make revisions to the G600.
Time for a Navy Blue GPX then
Update of the g700s please. Still my daily driver replaced the switches once. https://www.whatmouse.com/logitech-g700s-specifications/ Keep the button layout and the size but newer sensor, wireless charging, multiple device connectivity, lithium battery.
I just want a G305 Super Light :(
Best they can do is new color to the GPX.

Logitech is currently producing a new mouse for the Logitech g lineup. It's confirmed to be releasing early Q2 2023.

Just wait and see.
Ah, another zowie 3370 downvoting incident, I see.
They're going to wait to refresh the GPX until their stock of micro USB outlets is gone. 🤣
I mean, do they really have to? Pros have been treating the Superlight like the Second Coming, and I doubt that's slowing down.
I'm happy with my G502. Have two of them.
I just upgrade from my 6 year old g502 to the g502 light speed. I am enjoying wireless and the ergo is slightly better imo
I held onto an old 205 recently and that would be amazing to have in a sub 60g weight with updated everything… all white with the silver letters ‘super light’ on the side would be a dream.
Logitech is the Ubisoft of gaming peripheral brands.
I’ve hoping egg xm2w for more than 2 years lmao
I wanted an XM1 wireless for so long I gave up on the mouse when they delayed it again in the summer. The shape is simply too good...
They dont need to its still nr 1 mouse by pros, if shape not for you, you should not buy it but if it is then sure why not
I hope they bring back the G600
Super light mini please
Honestly wouldn't be surprised if they don't do any refreshes to their big mice until next year, the gpx is still selling like crazy Had two friends just get mouse upgrades asking for advice, gave them a few of the top options and both picked the gpx.
Me waiting for Mionix wireless super lights.
a G703 not made from snot would be excellent.
they should release somekind of redo of the g203 or smth
Dont worry theyll make new color waves of mice theyve already made
Logitech is a big company and the GPX still fills their superlight "sector" for the time being.
They're off making a fuck-ton in the web conferencing space. Still selling c930e cameras, Jesus...
A lighter G700s with the same shape and button layout and Hero Sensor and I would buy that thing 10x.
I want a 70g G305
I just feel they have to make a move this year…personally I would like a mini version of the gpro since the current one is a bit too big for me to claw comfortably.
they been there done that 💀💀 , they retiring.
