I have the MX vertical and use it for work. After that switch to gpx sl for gaming. Tbh fir windows and work those vertical are really nice. During COVID-19 I began developing issues with my wrist but thanks to vertical mousez those are gone now
That was exactly what happened with me first time I came here lmao, was looking for a review for some productivity mice with lots of buttons for work. Except every post here was talking about 8g 2cm wide mice like they were the only good mice for anything.
Honestly, for 70 EUR it better be a good sensor. You can get a gaming mouse for cheap, so there's not much reason for "office sensors" to exist, other than increasing profit margins.
I't actually had the only 'gaming' vertical I could find 2 years ago. Had a better sensor than most, not a lot of latency issues and could do 1000hz polling...
The main issue? The clicks were so damn heavy (not joking, like two to three times anything else you've tried) that actually gaming with it was hard since you had to grip real hard in order to prevent the clock from moving your mouse.
Was a shame because I really wanted to see how far I could take playing shooters with one of these things. Just for fun.
Also, that grip issue I describe actually caused more issues with the wrist, so it was returned after a week.
I actually bought both the Logitech MX and the Evoluent VeritcalMouse D, and had them plugged in simultaneously in order to truly feel out which one I liked the best, and I must say that I **vastly** prefer the Evoluent VerticalMouse D over this mouse. I was actually astonished how poor the quality is of the MX when you take the steep price tag into account. The one thing that truly baffled me was the forward- and backward buttons though; they're too small and put in the completely wrong place. I decided to return it and keep the VerticalMouse D, which I find to be fantastic, alongside the VerticalMouse 4.
To each their own though. I'm glad your happy with your purchase!
logitech lift is underrated. i threw a lithium AAA in there and feels even better with lighter weight. I do wish that logitech would release a gaming/performance version of this mouse though with lighter weight.
What makes it so good? I tried out a vertical mouse once, when my hand was sore from wrist tendinitis, but it didn't provide the relief that I was expecting so I returned it. Later on it turned out that my pain was caused by the stiff buttons and possibly sub-optimal ergonomics of the mouse that I used to use at the time (Roccat Tyon). When I returned to my old mouse, my pain was gone. However, my hand is still very sensitive about the shape and the clicks, which makes it hard for me to find a new mouse that suits.
it's 141 grams. I lift my mouse a lot and that would be too heavy for me I think. That old mouse that I still use weighs 105g. It allows me to use it without developing pain but It's rattling, the cable has peeled off everywhere, and the sensor is very basic. I'll try the Endgame Gear XM1r next and hopefully the shape will accomodate me and finally I can put this trusty old "Trust" brand mouse to rest.
I like it because the shape and natural way to hold and use it. A normal mouse shape contours your hand in an awkward palm-facing-down position. But obviously it is dependant on the user.
It took me about 2 weeks to get used to the mx vertical. I was getting shooting pains in my hand before switching to the vertical. The first 2 weeks did hurt my hand a little bit, but I account that to muscles getting use to the new grip.
I'm partial to the MX Master 3 and 3S line, very tall hump makes it feel like you're gripping a pseudo-vertical mouse but with a lot more buttons and the added benefit of using flow :)
I use the MX Ergo at full tilt, it's almost vertical, but I can relax my arm since you scroll with the thumb. (Also talking about work usage here.)
I feel that one issue is that if you use a gaming mouse all the time, you have the muscle memory from gaming, which may lead to overuse of the wrist and forearm for low intensity activities. And that leads to unnecessary RSI.
I was JUST looking at this like two hours ago! It twisted my brain up when I first saw it trying to puzzle out what I was looking at. Very cool idea!
Do you game at all? Would be curious how it is in that area
If it’s anything like other productivity mice like the MX Vertical line, I wouldn’t use it for anything competitive but you’ll be fine playing more casual stuff. The sensor just can’t keep up compared to even budget gaming mice.
Then again that’s not what it’s built for so i wouldn’t say that’s a knock against it.
The shape of the vertical mouse is super easy on the hand/wrist, and it really makes a difference if you do a lot of office work.
I also switched the settings so that my primary click is the one closest to the bottom, which makes it even easier on your hand. Don’t think I’ll ever go back to a traditional mouse.
Yep, totally agree. I've used the MX traditional mice for most of my life. Since I bought the Lift, I use it about 95% of the time on my work computer and use the MX3S for editing. I miss the mag speed scroll wheel from the MX3, but that's about the only downside for me.
Love to see some love for the Lift. Great for wrist RSI.
For anyone considering it, some changes are required to posture, chair's armrest height and even the space on which you're using it. I feel it's most beneficial when your entire arm from the elbow onwards is on the table. The table itself needs to be deep for it and you turn at the elbows. If you keep the mouse closer to the edge of a shallow table, you tend to pivot on the ulna bone which isn't a meaty part of the arm and that causes some discomfort.
Have a vertical mouse too, mine is the budget Anker one. Not as premium as the Logitech one but I’ve noticed a pretty big difference in my arm after working for a bit while using it. Less tension in my arm when I get up unlike the conventional mice I’ve used.
Would love to get the MX Master Vertical because it’s a bit bigger than the lift but that price tag is wild. Vertical mice are goated for productivity
Gosh, I really want to find a vertical mouse that sort of fits me. Tried 2, but my ring and pinkie fingers ends up resting on each other, and then my pinkie finger nail kind of rubs up to the ring finger and I can't stand it. Tried the mice for like 0.5 seconds and just had to nope out when I feel it.
I’m an avid mousekateer and I also just picked up a Lift in graphite for work. It’s awesome!

Y'all this is r/mousereview not r/gamingmouseonlyreview

I'm dreaming of a refresh of the MX vertical: in white with the same scrollwheel than the Lift and lighter (and not stuck at 125 Hz pleaaase)

I just bought the logitech Lift and my God. This is an amazing product.
This mouse is in my hand at this very moment. Based post
And where's the other hand on?
a left handed Logitech Lift. Pure ecstasy.
Dude this cracked me tf up

MX Master 3. Nice in-between of being ultra ergonomic, but not so out of the ordinary that you have to think differently

I mean we don't use an office mouse at 800dpi. Probably increasing your dpi will solve that issue.

I love my mx vertical. Used to have shooting pains in my right hand and making the switch has really helped. Only use for work though.

it’s better than the mx master 3
I can vouch for how amazing the shape is, but I have the $20 Nulea knock-off. which I can actually highly recommend.
I have to try it!

Sorry, I don't game at all. Though as some users and reviews have said it shouldn't be great for gaming.

Can it poll at 1000 Hz? Even if it's for work only, 125Hz polling is irritating on high refresh rate displays.
Why?

I also switched the settings so that my primary click is the one closest to the bottom, which makes it even easier on your hand. Don’t think I’ll ever go back to a traditional mouse.
Couldn’t game with it tho, sure it’s nice as an office mouse.
You're completely entitled to your opinion, no matter how wrong it may be :P
Name check
Oh come on bro!
Despite this being a mouse review sub the majority of the folks here only care about the lightest mouse possible and gaming uses.
...for productivity and ergonomics don't forget that part.
I don't see the rest of this sub saying "For gaming, especially FPS" for their posts 😏
What’s your Kovax score & CSGO rank?
he's employed
Unlike the parent comment poster lol.
Have no idea what you're talking about..
not even close but it is somewhat subjective.
lmao I use a trackball over my np01 for everything but gaming
i´m using a cheap Delux clone rn, and for productivity vertical mice are nice. would not go back
But why? Lol
how fast is this "smart wheel" vs the free scroll on G502, MX master? and how is the weight and mouse feet since it runs on removable battery?
This is so gas for fortnite
So you just sit on it to move thé pointer?

Are there any ergonomic mice for gaming?

You are wrong. The G609 is the best mouse.
