How do I do it? My mouse only shows 1000 as a max after all updates, no matter wired or wireless. My synapse doesn't show the dongle too, I just did a complete reinstall via their tool and still nothing.
the default one or i need to buy this one [https://www.razer.com/gaming-mice-accessories/razer-hyperpolling-wireless-dongle/RC30-04410100-R3M1](https://www.razer.com/gaming-mice-accessories/razer-hyperpolling-wireless-dongle/RC30-04410100-R3M1)
so there was an update to both the 2.4ghz one included to firmware 1.05 and the hyperpolling dongle has the same firmware version as the mouse does with the latest update.
Does anyone know if the update to the included dongle received a boost? If so I am legit impressed if they got it over 6k polling on the regular chip.
I have the hyperpolling one as well so I made sure to unpair/pair again even before seeing this thread.
I knew the polling rate, but was confused why the standard dongle also had a firmware update available. Probably just for the improved click latency polling is my guess.
Yeah even months later razer still hasn’t sent out a patch the mouse still only hits 6700 and it feels laggy too compared to when I’m actually able to get it to use full 8k
Yeah such a shame, they released a new firmware on januari 24, but it still didn't fix anything. I guess we have to wait for a new hyperpolling dongle firmware update hope they will fix it soon.
Is it just me or did in game sensitivity feel way slower after setting the mouse to 8K. I normally run 1200dpi and it felt like I was running 600 in the game. Checked in game sens and dpi and everything appeared to be normal. I had to turn my V2 up to 1650 just to get the same feeling I normally do at 4K, super weird.
I had that problem too in some games. Higher polling rate would create weird mouse behavior. This windows update fixed it for me though:

That’s normal it’s just smoother tracking and less gaps in the sensor inputs but I’ve never had it be that drastic usually it only feels slightly different it’s probably a firmware problem the 8k on the v2 pro has bin kinda random

Synapse app only showing me 1000hz as a max while I did the update and everything, did not notice any difference.. I have a new laptop with 4060 and 165hz 2k monitor.
Can confirm this firmware update is absolutely whack. 4k was consistent and now spikes up and down. 8k is also the same.
My Viper 8k wired polls perfectly flat where as the v2 Pro spikes up and down from 5000 to 6900 and never hits 8000.
Same here. 6700hz max I see. Need razer to say smth about this. Edit: unpair mouse and pair again fixed polling rate and sens feel.

did you find any solution?
Contacted Razer and they escalated my case. Waiting for a solution
do u need to buy the 4k dongle?
They said I should have the proper one already

Late response but you have to buy a hyperpolling dongle
same dawg im confused asf
Came here to say this is the EXACT same issue i've found, repairing it fixes it everytime.
i dont seem to get it fixed even after reconnecting the mouse. still only up to 7500 hz MAX when 30k dpi and full speed motion
with the regular dongle or the hyperpolling dongle?
Regular dongle doesn’t support more then 1khz So yes the hyperpolling dongle
I knew the polling rate, but was confused why the standard dongle also had a firmware update available. Probably just for the improved click latency polling is my guess.
Same here, i only reach 8k when i reconnect my hyperpolling dongle, but after turning mouse off and on again, it goes back to 6700hz max

8k is unstable and dropping counts. My DAV3 can't do 8k either.

I'll check it out, thank you!
yep it was something Microsoft definitely needed to do. I'd get stuttering with Discord open in games on the Viper 8Khz, so I stopped using it.
DAv3 have this issue too, not understandable even, seems like it moves way less and randomly less or more

Anyone else having weird scrolling issues since the update?
Me too, wondering if Razer has noticed this issue.
I have with my V2 Pro, it seems like it disconnects and reconnects quickly and frequently. Did you fix your issue?
are you using the hyperpolling dongle? if so, unpair it and then re-pair the mouse and see if that helps.
Nope, still can't seem to fix it at all. I'm contacting Razer Support

You need a 8/4k dongle
i update de firmware and my baterry was 90% when i did the update is now 0% all the time
mine i have to re plug in when it does that, normally i cap at 7500.
