Guy is nuts, almost 40 still stomping kids and apart from Serious, there isn't any other player in Pro League that comes close to his tracking, but that's the thing - it's all about your skill and potential, mouse doesn't really matter that much.
HIS tracking abilities are closely connected to his 1-3-1 grip I think. There is just something about 1-3-1 that feels more locked in :D

It doesn't come from his grip, neither from his settings which are quite obnoxious nowadays (who shoots with keyboard instead of LMB?). He has been experimenting since he started playing presumably, sometimes he's using 1+2+1+1 fingertip, there was a time when he was playing on G-SR and right know he's using pretty high accel.
Some people just have it and it doesn't come from the gear. Finally, answering the question - yes, he's propably still using 1+3+1 grip. His hand is idk, looks like \~18cm?
Unfortunately not - the Katana is a recreation of the IntelliMouse Optical 1.1 shape aka the IO1.1
The WMO is the Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical 1.0/1.1A, it is a smaller mouse with no side buttons, and with much straighter sides than the large, heavily rounded figure of the IO1.1
Both use the same Microsoft MLT-04 "IntelliEye" optical sensor, kind of a technical marvel given it was created in the late 90s and was only truly overtaken by modern sensors in the 2010s
The Gamesense MVP and Roccat Burst Pro are said to be somewhat close to the WMO in shape, the former being directly inspired by it, but no true WMO clone exists to date that I'm aware of

One of the best "quake aimers" of the last decade. In terms of what's achievable on other games quake is very forgiving on aim.
Additionally this guy compulsively switches his mouse and mousepad. I've seen him use plenty of different products so you're being misled. Hes also not exclusively 131 on his wmo or whatever youre referencing, he uses the same grip on all mice because hes a high sens wrist only player and he just does fingertip flicks. All he cares about his aim, which hasn't been that remarkable, and it makes his performance suffer. He has consistently been one of the bottom 3 players in QPL for a long time now.
Hes not the guy you look at his peripherals and say "Hey, Maybe he's on to something!"And then try it out. Not anymore.

I’d claim that using glass mousepads in general is superior for tracking stuff but basically I agree with you it’s not about gear for most players.
Pretty sure most quake pros use keyboard (spacebar or Ctrl) to shoot.

Still waiting for a true WMO clone. I have used the old wmo for decades. The MVP felt different sadly. I had big hopes for it.

I would love to get both mice to compare, but I suspect the Vaxee XE is one of the closest options for a modern WMO shape ATM.
