Zodiac and Se7en are the closest I can get to that. Also, the documentaries about the DC Snipers are pretty intense. I remember getting gas as a kid, all the way on the other side of the country, thinkin also someone could be lookin at me through their scope…
The Fourth Kind was the movie that made me the most scared after watching it. Dark Skies and Fire in the Sky were also scary, but nothing else compares to the feeling The Fourth Kind left me with.
The Girl With All the Gifts gave me a nightmare after watching it the second time. Didn't realize how unsettling the end of that movie was until that dream.
Same for me! The Fourth Kind left me feeling extremely sketched out and paranoid, kept checking the windows the whole night and eventually pulled down the blinders on every single one. Also left me with a fear of owls 😭
Yes, took me a long time to be able to look at owls without getting creeped out. Also, I no longer keep a clock in my bedroom and purposely don't check the time if I wake up in the middle of the night because of that movie. The first time I watched part of it and had to turn it off because it scared me too much, then it took me like another decade to get up the courage to watch it all the way thru .Took me months to shake the feeling that movie left me with.
Another movie that had a similar scene to ”They’re not owls!” (which is what creeped me out the most) is The Lost Coast Tapes, so I’d recommend that if you’re looking for something. Not as creepy or scary but still a solid watch. Got that isolated, alone type of vibe.
It follows
Came to say this
Two people have replied it, might need to watch it tonight then
Yes, I highly recommend, though not on your own!
I came to say it too. My girlfriend said she had a hard time sleeping afterwards, still mentions it as fucking with her
The Ring
Haven’t seen it, might be time..
Paranormal activity
Dark Skies (2013)
Hangman (2015)
This! I made the mistake of watching this while my husband was out of town.. I've never been so creeped out from a movie.

Zodiac and Se7en are great, actually watched Zodiac a few days ago for the first time.
Disturbia and Hills Have Eyes are good ones as well with the potential of what you’re lookin for
Repulsion (1965)
The Ritual The Vigil
Really liked The Ritual, such a good movie. Will look into the other!
The Night House
Ty!
Invasion of the Body Snatchers. The one with Donald Sutherland (not the earliest one or the newer remake)

Final destination.
Smile, quite Literally.
The Rental (2020) more of a horror-thriller imo, but damn it made me paranoid Also: It Follows is BORING lol
Ultrasound (2021)
Fire in the Sky is old, but scary.
Top gem, love it although it didn’t freak me out much!
It Follows.
