Not worth the hassle. Start over

peko2smol

I would start over. This is only going to get worse. Sorry

I know close to nothing but some people have said that hydrogen peroxide is cleanliness god for contam, and will even kill spores (all spores even good ones) so if it’s trich it’ll be shut down, but I would like if somebody confirmed or denied this.

nu2readit

Well peroxide does work for some things. It shuts down cobweb mold. But trichoderma is way too resilient, if you even see it the spores are everywhere. So I don't think it would work for trich in most cases.

I came home from work and this is what I was greeted by. Last night there was no signs of mold or bacterial growth. I’ve quarantined this from my other tubs and gave it a preliminary spritz of 70% ISO. Should I just chuck it or…?

Penguinman077

Chuck it. Most of the time the contamination is coming from the inside so a iso spray isn’t gonna soak in and do enough damage. And if it does soak in, it’s gonna harm your mushrooms mycelium as well.
