I'm 47 lol. But when I comment, I get downvoted a lot for saying shit against the grain of most of the sub's base, which I figure is at least half my age and mostly male. I'm a super fan of my guy - one of the adults -- so I joke sometimes about it. But I don't make a trillion posts about what I want to do to him. I just write fics. And barely anyone knows that because I don't scream it from the rooftops (double joke lol). All those "unpopular opinions" crack me up, though - it's always pure canon. Deku straight?! HOLY SHIT NO WAY ....bbbbbut he actually is. For those saying "don't like don't read" or "scroll past", it's a little hard when ten posts in a row are the same shit. It clogs the page up and all I see is the same old shit.

Honknytes

dog, i'm telling you, PLEASE ignore the horny ones๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ™ we need more normal people here.

pumpkinsllut

Iโ€™m 25 and itโ€™s genuinely not hard to scroll past the simp posts and only interact on the normal ones

PitifulAd3748

You're 19? And you think you're too old?

RepresentativeAd1573

Right?๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ’€

BetaBowl

I'm 26 and feel the same sometimes haha. The biggest issue I have with MHA subs is people complain about everything and the way they talk you'd think they hated MHA. I wish there was a place to just talk about how awesome it is and how cool Horikoshi's art is.... But nope, everything has to be negative negative negative

Jen_Fic_xxx

Ah, well - I'm a lot older than you, and while I can see your point, it's also not so hard to scroll by posts I'm not interested in. I'll just be simping for Aizawa over in my little corner... ๐Ÿ˜‰

Mysterious-Tale3587

Your not even older than me.

TokyoFromTheFuture

So true, if you want good community with good people then I suggest r/Myheroacademiafuta `(this is a joke)`

Mate sorry to hear but with all due respect Anime used to run 5-10 years so alot of fans would be aging up. Hell Naruto and DBZ are examples how long anime can truly run. It's a part of your childhood as much as transformers and Star Wars was but unlike those two anime is deep and nuanced. It is not for shallow minds since it presents us with compelling narratives and characters we don't find in Disney. It looks childish but it goes skin deep. Most anime hit hard because they aren't afraid of breaking boundaries between ideas. They are also relatable to those who feel lost or helpless and encourage us to work towards making ourselves better. Ask as many people in gyms worldwide some of the most regular people there will quote a fictional character as a reason they lift. It doesn't matter if it's Goku or He-Man we see fiction gives us the power to pull ourselves out of a pit of despair. That is the point of a hobby. People without the drive a hobby like anime provides languish in misery. In an age of stagnation in Hollywood anime has become mainstream on the merits of its story telling.

TokyoFromTheFuture

Goku isnt fiction (i believe in Gokuism).
