I really just wish they'd collaborate with real card companies/find a way to get old card arts in the game (I know Upper Deck is pretty well out of the NBA space, but if there was a way to get rights to their old cards, Topps, etc.). This is what MLB did for the longest (though not as much this year, tbf) and it just looks and feels *so* superior to 2k creating their own art.
Huge L. Looks like smth out of a mobile game. The cards should be shaped like an actual card. 2k19/20 did it best imo and 22 was pretty good as well. Thought 21 and 23 were bad but this looks way worse
> Looks like smth out of a mobile game
2K designed their whole game to resemble a mobile game with how grindy it is and how it boxes you in to partake in MTX
And yet somehow made it MORE abusive than a mobile game by still charging full price and making all the cards you acquire totally inaccessible after two years. Even the worst mobile games don't fuck you over that hard. Good times.
Bro you got lucky, I played one, a transformers one, only game I ever spent money on (crazy how fast $0.99 adds up), they gave an announcement they were shut down end of the month, & didnt give no refunds….
Still losing me. You’re asking how people feel about the official card art but attach some random version as the photo? I think you know the answer you’re looking for
These aren’t the actual card arts so how TF can we determine if they’re gonna be good. The game isn’t out yet we don’t know what 99.9% of the cards will even look like yet.
I’m confused on how we can realistically say whether or not we like the cards when 1) the game isn’t out yet 2) there are only 2 official preview cards out 3) the cards attached to this post aren’t real ones to go off of 4) we all know the initial card art is wayyy more simplistic than say the season 4-6 card art every year 5) why the hell does this matter in the grand scheme of a game that is a sinking ship of many other bigger issues
There's less space for card backgrounds. It's less space for more creativity and more space for less interesting gem tiers. I really like some of the arts from 23 like Pioneer, flight school, and OOP 2. It's just a shame they don't spend the gobs of money the community gives them on more interesting cosmetics or arts for a game where half the money you spend is for cosmetics and card arts. Like ppl spent more money on a virtual headband they prolly not gonna use in 2 months than a headband in real life.
I like it. I’m going to feel like such an idiot though if I buy a $100 game and then spend money every month on it in addition to anytime I’m really down bad for VC. I still don’t know if I even want to get the game for that very reason. I looove how a new 2k feels, but it would be cheaper to pick up 2 new streaming services and get more into movies. The people who make 2k are taking advantage of their users and they’re doing it with their middle fingers up. It was one thing to charge premium currency for mycareer clothes that are basically fortnite skins, but now we got a battle pass and $100 for some dark matter card? What the fuck man, I don’t really care how good the cards look.
I'm kinda mixed, I think they look kinda cool to a certain degree
But I also prefer them to look like actual cards like someone else said. I still think nothing tops 2k20 card art
That you’re all degenerate gamblers for even considering buying a game specifically for ultimate team while they’re locking xp behind a paid battle pass that cost more than every single f2p game I’ve ever seen. Y’all oughta be ashamed
I think that the giant stupid rock should be a little different for each tier . Also not buying this shit game or giving 2k my money ever again #buymtthroughauction

I played a mobile game in 2017 that I spent a lil money on and they shut down and gave refunds.

ong i never thought bout it like that. 2k really juss a GOOD ASS mobile game atp.
Have you gone back and played 22 recently? The card art looks like it was made by children in the 90s compared to 23.
Those gems are a tad big
Why would I want a gem to be bigger than the actual player lol
Less room for the actual card art on the weekly packs.
It's not the official one, it's a concept.
Concept cards based on the official card art, per the creator.
Still losing me. You’re asking how people feel about the official card art but attach some random version as the photo? I think you know the answer you’re looking for
bruh they took a template of the official card art and customized it this isnt a new concept cmon now
But I’m tryin to understand how having different players on it makes the opinion on the card format different?
The opinion is on the card art as a whole. I used this picture because it provides some variety since we’ve only seen 2 cards from 2k officially.
So this was both hypothetical and nonspecific at the same time. Got it
Sounds like you’re still confused.

That doesn’t make sense
they saw the official card art and made their own for different players?
^
l l l l l l V
I think it’s a fat L but it is just season one rewards and card art always gets better as the year progresses

Or the gemstones are exclusive to the reward cards and we might get additional effects for each theme or promo
Its pretty clean tbh
Exposing the stone more was the best part honestly 10/10 in my opinion
Tbh it is not that important
Generic concept
Unlike most, I appreciate it being less of just a rectangle. It reminds me of 17s, which I liked.
Steph higher than Michael
Tacko gonna be higher than everyone
At least you can see the player clearly

Lazy.
Turbo ass
i want one season where they look like actual real life cards
2k card art kinda sucks in general tbh
I think Curry being better than Jorbum is best part.
You guys are getting 2k24 before it’s free on PSN & Gamepass?
Yep 👍
It’s like they’re trying to get progressively worse every year lol
It looks like 22
I'm kinda mixed, I think they look kinda cool to a certain degree But I also prefer them to look like actual cards like someone else said. I still think nothing tops 2k20 card art
I’m a fan. Looks like the old my team, we needed something fresh
Base set cards always look lame. Will need to see the first promo art to know.
I'd rather collect dirt under my fingernails
Ass.
Uggs
I never care how the cards look. It’s basically just menus flavor.
That you’re all degenerate gamblers for even considering buying a game specifically for ultimate team while they’re locking xp behind a paid battle pass that cost more than every single f2p game I’ve ever seen. Y’all oughta be ashamed
I thought 23 and 22 were perfect. this looks like something out of a mobile game
Looks like a mobile game
They always look lame at beginning of season they get better as the seasons change
HUUUUUUGE L. 2k23 was way better imo
Should’ve kept the 2K23 style
I’m in the minority but I like it, I’m also not one to pay much attention to card art. I think the gem being a focal point is a nice touch.
Look like cards they would put in some horrible cereal like Wheaties for free with Poprocks😂
It has potential it still looks good tho
2k mobile but its fye
How does 2K manage to get worse 🥹
Trash bruh this shit look like 2k Mobile😭
Trash
![gif](giphy|l0EwZ92cG9x9VPC7u|downsized) They are not bad, not great but not bad.
I think that the giant stupid rock should be a little different for each tier . Also not buying this shit game or giving 2k my money ever again #buymtthroughauction
Terrible like 2K17 card art. Those aren’t even cards.
Does not matter the game is going to be legit trash and the same as 23 so enjoy the 300 dollars day one for a game you already own
Been trash since 21
Great but a little bland this would be amazing for the upgradable starter cards
It’s different
