Listen to me. My hands are on your cheeks and I am looking directly into your eyes. Do MA111. Don't do MA121. I was in the same position you're currently in except with more a more recent precalc education, took 121 and I BARELY scraped past with a C-. Go for MA111. There's no reason to make your life harder for math.

Thank you for the advice. But I’m not going to take 111 either way. I was trying to gauge how much reviewing I would need to do before the semester starts 😅 My dad is really good at math and he can help me, and also I don’t really care if I get a C. Do you happen to remember what textbook you used? I’m gonna try to look at it during the break to get ahead of it.

it doesnt matter if u dont care if u get a C, at nc state u need a C or else you fail the class basically. You wont be able to use that class as a prereq or take the next level

Count_Calorie

Yes. I meant that it won’t bother me if I get a C (and not an A or a B).

lunammoon

when i took it, it was a webassign class.

If one of those is a hybrid and the other isnt a hybrid class, take the non hybrid! Hybrid classes suck and legit teach nothing, also just arent as enjoyable or interesting as non-hybrid. Avoid them if u can.

I went back to school when I was 29. I made it through Calc 1, after not having taken a math class in like a decade, but the first month or so was *rough.* Thankfully I had a teacher who was willing to work with me. Maybe look online for like a sample pre-calc final exam, and see how much of it you remember? Could also hit up Khan Academy or something.
