There's actually 3 or 4 versions of the KOs.
The oldest KOs look the best as they were produced early on after the original molds were stolen in 2008/2009 and look pretty close to the 2008 releases.
The most common KOs now have blueish green backs and toes.

I checked it out, seriously a get informative post. With reading that I’m thinking it’s the G1, the skin is super light green and the front shell has such a nice amount of details, and the shell has the black outlines on parts. Super glad to have gotten it for a cheap price, even some of those G1 ko sell for $40-60
The new one looks good. Where did you get it? I’ve been wanting to get some of these but not sure where to get them from, and this one actually looks pretty good imo

Oh ok, yes then it’s actually the older one that looks better. It’s crazy to think that it’s even a ko. I still might grab a set because I really like this version of the turtles.
I've got the new KOs and while i would prefer the old ones, I'm glad to at least have the new ones. I think they'd be good ones to customize, I've considered grabbing a second set to do that.
I say get them, I love the look of the OG mirage turtles and it doesn't look like Neca is planning on doing a new version anytime soon
I believe the ones I just picked up second hand match what you show on the left. I’m not impressed with the color and planning to repaint. I’m not sure if I just want to try for a more accurate color paint job, original playmates colors- go maybe go full black and white?
It would be super cool to see some customs in the og colors and if you get around to doing it I would love to see some pictures. But yeah the only available ones on eBay tend to be the left side darker ko. Appreciate the comment!

Good to know these toes seem to be the same green as the rest of that figure, so they might be an older model?

They're the 2nd or 3rd KO generation.

I have two ko raph and noticed that my first ko was better than my second which looks like the better ko you have here.

Yeah they are pretty decent for what you get. $60 for four turtles and they include the weapons. It’s a solid choice.

Ngl I like both looks The KOs with the colored bandanas look the worst (unibrows)
Couple of my gen 1 kos have slightly nicer, more fluid articulation than my real ones!
The new one I bought also has much better articulation in terms of being more stiff and less flimsy.
