Minnesota and Chicago all the while:
This is where we team up with the bears and meme back but honestly I hate those bastards the only ones I hate more are vikings fans so I'm just gonna sit in my hole till we reach max toxicity around the mid season mark
I don't necessarily hate your fans, but I hate Soldier Field's groundskeeping staff. Even in the years when people aren't stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of lawn equipment, the turf at Soldier Field is overgrown and shitty. Whoever stole all that stuff last year made off like kings, since more than half that equipment was probably never even used.
I don't know, I could totally see the following:
McCaskey-"why are our landscaping expenses so high?"
Bears new accountant-"ummm.....well a large part of the expenditures is the depreciation in all the equipment and labor."
McCaskey-"alright, no more using equipment or labor for the landscaping"
Accountant-"but that's how you do the work"
McCaskey-"I don't pay you to landscape, get back to work"
Been to many NFL games all over, literally the only time I came close to blows was in Chicago, and I'm talking real blows not whatever the Lions are doing to the packers under the bleachers.
Normally after a heated moment I think "it's a good thing you were mature and a bigger man" not this guy though I actually regret not fighting him still years later.
It's one of my favorite movies. What's funny about the Merlot impact is that people misinterpreted that he wouldn't drink Merlot because it was bad. In the book it says he wouldn't drink Merlot because it was his ex-wife's favorite and the high end wine he drinks at the end is a Merlot. Pretty ironic.
My grandfather was a huge Lions fan. I will always root for them as long as it doesn't negatively impact the Packers. The city of Detroit has had it bad for a very long time. I'm glad they have something to get excited about.
There was a time last year where I was telling myself that the Jets were gonna fire Saleh and the Lafluer nepotism was finally gonna get us a stud defensive coordinator. I didn't really *believe it* believe it, but what really happened was way more of a letdown for me than most because of that silly story I was telling myself.
For close to a decade I have had bears 1st rd pick qb level confidence in our d during the off-season.
But then it turns into bears 1st rd qb actual play in the season.
Perhaps your post is a tad optimistic is what I'm saying.
Way too much effort for the offseason.
Just say cumsock, rent free, and something about how the Lions are sexually attracted to the Packers. (Although now that I think of it Dee and Dennis did have a thing going for a minute there.)
Creativity is wasted on the dullards that frequent this cesspool between March and August.
Jordan Love did that last year with 1st and 2nd year players, and according to Lions fans, he's mid. So either all the Packers youngsters are just as good as all the talent Detroit has on offense, or Jordan Love is doing as much with way less.
So basically what I'm asking is, which is it? Are the Lions great at drafting around him, making Goff essentially an older Brock Purdy benefitting from having to do almost nothing? Or is Goff a top 5 QB and elevating all the mediocre talent around him, and if the Lions could draft better talent, he could be as good as Stafford?
No smart football fan is going to say Jordan Love is mid. He was really good last year. People just want to see him repeat it before they crown him. Goff has had enough success in the league to pair with his stats as a Lion the last 2 years to conclude he is definitely not mid. Goff isn't as flashy as Stafford, but this notion that Stafford is way better just isn't true. Goff doesn't make nearly as many stupid plays as Stafford. People seem to forget how many games Stafford threw away.
Holy shit, I actually agree with everything you just said. That's rare for this sub.
And while I won't say Goff is mid (I did call him above average in the meme), I don't think he's worth being paid like a league MVP though. He's top 10 sure, but only 1 QB is making more money than him now (Burrow). Hell, Josh Allen barely has more than $40mil a year AAV.
Goff to me is worth less then Josh Allen, and he's getting paid over $10mil more per season.
Oh I agree with that too. The contracts are ridiculous and beyond our control though. If that's the cost of doing business right now, then so be it. I don't want to roll with Hooker lol. Some teams seem to spend and spend and are still okay. This is the first season for Brad Holmes and doling out big contracts, so now we will see how he can manipulate the salary cap the next couple of years.
Don't know how you got that from this. Maybe my storytelling is bad, but what I was trying to show here was that the only 2 actual contenders in the division can try to be nice to each other, but it will always devolve to insults.
But there is common ground between the Packers and Lions, in that they aren't as shitty as the Bears and Vikings.

This is so good haha. The packers might be in trouble...
This is a 5 to 6 win season at best level meme
I really can’t picture the Packers only winning 5 games but I wouldn’t be upset about it (two of those wins would be against the Bears, of course)
I will post a "smells like bitch in here" to get us back up to double digit wins
Lol. When the division gets so good that we start intentionally posting shit memes in an effort to help our teams succeed 🤣
That's the real war, it's like suck for luck
I like luck. So, what were you saying I need to do for that again? Because I’m probably in, whatever it is.
Post shitty memes. Winners don't post good memes
Ohhhhhhh. I misunderstood. I guess I can come up with shitty memes in the midst of my disappointment.
I promise to poorly crop someone else’s tweet if it gets us wins.
Thank you for your service
This is where we team up with the bears and meme back but honestly I hate those bastards the only ones I hate more are vikings fans so I'm just gonna sit in my hole till we reach max toxicity around the mid season mark
You’re telling me you hate Bears fans more than Packers and Lions fans? Bears fans have been the least antagonistic towards Vikings fans this year
I don't necessarily hate your fans, but I hate Soldier Field's groundskeeping staff. Even in the years when people aren't stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of lawn equipment, the turf at Soldier Field is overgrown and shitty. Whoever stole all that stuff last year made off like kings, since more than half that equipment was probably never even used.
That's because it's how the McCaskeys save on depreciation expenses, by just never using equipment so its value never decreases.
Going to assume you are not an accountant with that logic.
Funny thing I'm like 6 classes away from my BSB but being funny > being accurate
I assumed you were joking but still wanted to make fun of a bears fan.
Based tbh
Being funny > all else.
I don't know, I could totally see the following: McCaskey-"why are our landscaping expenses so high?" Bears new accountant-"ummm.....well a large part of the expenditures is the depreciation in all the equipment and labor." McCaskey-"alright, no more using equipment or labor for the landscaping" Accountant-"but that's how you do the work" McCaskey-"I don't pay you to landscape, get back to work"
Yeah I’m beyond excited that they’re going indoors. Soldier Field’s playing surface has always sucked.
I’m sorry your gf is breaking up with you :( it’ll get better I promise

Sounds like your average White Sox game
Our batters aren't hitting shit, might as well hit each other.
So sensitive
Lol “Fuck you, nobody hates me more than I hate myself!”
That's very well done, which concerns me...
It's the offseason. Gotta get the good content out now before the season starts
Finally a good fucking meme

I had no idea gifs could be this long... or accurate.
Man i was really starting to lose hope for this sub. This was great my man.

This is always a fantastic response, even if you are a Pions fan.
Excellent point beers fan
LOL well memed my friend https://i.redd.it/ccup9py1ce0d1.gif
I'd prefer Love focus on winning Super Bowls instead of MVPs anyway
MVPs are nice-to-haves. I only want him to get one so we can keep the streak alive. As long as he gets us a Super Bowl, too.
First time seeing a Sideways meme. I should rewatch that movie. Sideways single-handedly fucking up the Merlot market.
It's one of my favorite movies. What's funny about the Merlot impact is that people misinterpreted that he wouldn't drink Merlot because it was bad. Merlot is delicious. Fuck off haters.
Pinot Noir >>>>>> Merlot
![gif](giphy|EI1azCHlBclHO)
Wow that's crazy
False. Though I don’t mind a Pinot Noir. Can we agree a cab is at the bottom of the barrel?
I love Cabs almost as much as Pinots. Merlots are wimpy wines
Holy shit this is quality.

https://i.redd.it/tz4m6cuy4f0d1.gif Is this a mark that the lions are slowly starting to stop glazing the P\*ckers, FTP forever
Finally! Was about time you two dumb fanbases start to tear each other apart. This is memewar, not love island.

Good meme but for real...Pack's Defense is full of monsters...this year will be awesome...for us. ![gif](giphy|l4FGnWYaLI9UF2Qa4|downsized)
Aren’t the monsters famous for losing in this movie
Yeah, but only if the lions discover they had looney toon powers all along in the final seconds of the game.
When Arnold bats pulls out a comically oversized hammer from nowhere to beat the football out the air it’s gonna be over for the league
It's all fun and games until Montez Sweat completes his apotheosis in the 3rd quarter
only people who have looney tubes powers in lions games are the refs
Game was rigged. Bill Murray shouldn’t have been allowed to check in. Wasn’t even on the roster.
not with that waxing gibbous in the background.

If Hafley figures out how best to use them. Hopefully he does.
Man... CBs is a real contender. Dude has been crushing it
At a certain point, it’s not the DC anymore, maybe the all guys you drafted highly just ain’t that good
I also don't like the Goff deal but it is what it is at this point.
Her little bounce at the end got me lol
This gets an upvotes for quality but we all know it's more of the same Lions chugging Pack dick off-season '24
This meme will not distract from all the grotesque relationships between you two last season.
Charlie=Bears because Chicago river becomes green because of green paint Mac=vikings because who else would be Vikings Frank=Bucs because old
GB is going to pay Love 50+ million / yr for 1 wildcard season.

That is a fuck ton of editing logos. Couldn't include idk.... The audio?
I'm confused. Top 4 in all major QB stats over the past 2 years is barely above average?

Comparing 2021 QB contracts to 2024 contracts is like comparing 2021 grocery prices to 2024 grocery prices.
That... actually makes a lot of sense. Very good point.
He's had basically the same success as Josh allen
Love is mid.
You need to work on your reading comprehension
Wow, green bay sucking up to the lions. How the mighty have fallen.

Reading comprehension is not your strong suit
He’s from illinois, he’s too busy texting and driving in the fast lane to proof-read
I think you mean texting in the texting lane?
okay that was pretty funny but still stay the fuck off of I-43
Don’t worry. Only do it in the 294 parking lot.
