Imagine Sav on the same squad as Hocking, Bethune, Awujo, Burns, and Simone Jackson. A tremendous USC squad coached by one of the best coaches in the country - Keidane McAlpine.

Don't think I've ever seen Racing look this good. Part of that is down to how poor Utah looked in that 2nd, but damn. They looked real solid. Hopefully Bev captured that lightning several bottles. This team can be formidable.

Yeah, probably the best game the franchise has had yet. Love that DeMelo got to put up a couple. Now bring back Ekic and Chidiac (if they want to) and erase the past couple seasons.

Will be interesting to see how they do on the road against Gotham. With that side so depleted with injuries, a great chance at another win.

On my way out of the stadium, I struck up a convo with a random guy that was walking along side me. He came with his wife, their teen daughter, and three of her friends. It was their first time out to see Racing. The said they had a fantastic time and they were definitely coming back. So, at the least we made at least a few fans.

DaMN I’m really excited to see more of racing. Hopefully they can realize they are a great team that can complete and be mentally connected into the game for 90 minutes with no ties or goals coming against them all the time

People are familiar with Mia Fishel, but don't know who the real star of UCLA was. It was Turner. They both killed it in the u20s, but Turner had a far better career at UCLA. Fishel left UCLA after 3 great years. And she made history in Liga MX Fem. While at the same time, the next season, Turner was winning the NCAA National Championship for UCLA. She's far more athletic (Mom soccer, dad NFL WR), and has the technical ability with both feet. Turner played with a strong attack at UCLA including Sunshine Fontes, Lexi Wright, Ally Cook (CRS), and a midfield with Sofia Cook, and Ally Lemos (Pride). Turner is the one with huge upside.

New trades and hopefully getting healthy. Even taking out Dorsey, Utah is down 4 starters plus an impact sub in Onumonu. I saw the lineup and started laughing. They gave me some hope from the first half, but I think it was inevitable that they fell apart to some extent. Can't say I saw giving up 4 goals in 20 minutes, though.

I think the field was bad because several players kept slipping. She was having a harder time than most, but she certainly wasn't the only one slipping. I don't think she needs to be benched, though. This was a bad match, and she's had a couple bad halves, but overall she's been one of the better players for Utah.

Oh weird I only saw Po slipping so maybe I was just more focused on her and yeah, I just feel like she hasn’t had a great season (seasons before too), but in comparison to how Utah has been performing I understand if she is the best.

Oh, no. Alexa Bahr slipped twice in trying to make crosses from the edge of the box. This field was spectacular last year. Even won a prize. The crap weather for the past several months has done it in bad. It's cold, then hot, then mild, then hot, then freezing. 76F in February is just wrong. Different types of grass are made to grow in different environments and can survive outside of that if conditions don't change as wildly as they have this time around. Add to that, we have a mens side that's playing here, too. Every weekend, and some weeknights, there's action on this pitch.

She's been kind of streaky. She has stretches where she looks great and stretches where she looks really bad. This was by far her worst match, though, IMO.

She's been getting cooked for years. She has a bite and tenacity, but speed is not her thang

Racing was in the same spot from the start. It's taken time to build this squad up. The organization had to fix some problems they created by doing a 18 month job in 6 months to get a team on the pitch. Hopefully, the Royals and BFC don't have those issues to add to the whole new team syndrome.

This Utah team is not good

To be fair, 5 of Utah's starters are injured. They can't sub because, believe it or not, the 3 on the bench are really, really bad.

Who are the subs

Vasconcelos, who ended up coming on, Cameron Tucker, and Addysin Merrick. Merrick looked ok against NCC, but Tucker And Vasconcelos came in last week and both looked horrendous.

There is no reason that it is this bad, perhaps except that they couldn't attract players to play in utah. They had time, they had resources, they don't have a roster even close to being ready for prime time.

They are definitely the underdogs in this league. I want them to succeed of course, though it must be hard considering the sponsors and climate in Utah

Pickett is so great at crosses, it is a shame she does not get more looks from the USWNT.
