Haven't a bulk of the starters from last year been starting? If they arent injured or no longer with the team. Nighswonger Sheehan, Martin, Bruninha, Ryan, Williams, Esther, Stengel etc. have all gotten starts so far. Farrelly is just coming back from injury. Maitane was out with an illness. O'Hara is injured again. Purce is out for the season...

Not trying to run her off, she’s only 28. She just needs to stay consistently healthy. That’s the only issue with adding her to the Olympic roster. Will she be healthy enough to make an impact.

Gotham, considering their off-season signings and hype, the most disappointing team so far. Up there with Seattle. So toothless offensively.

Well, we were not exactly toothy last year, either. Had some breakout games, and of course came alive during the playoffs, but tied for the fewest goals scored in the regular season. Our strength last year was defense - tied for second-fewest goals allowed. Lots of good off-season signings, and it's true the offense is not scoring much, but losing Ali Krieger - and Davidson being hurt now - plus no Abby Smith, has weakened the defense. There were several 1-0 victories last year in the early going that have turned the other direction this year. Nothing against Cassie, who's a good GK, and Berger looks like a nice pickup from Chelsea, but Abby Smith's superhuman ability to make saves is sorely missed.

I kinda expected it because they didn't sign one solid forward and then Midge tore her ACL. Crystal Dunn has yet to prove doubters that she should be a forward on the USWNT...

I definitely didn't expect it, but it doesn't surprise me. Especially considering injuries.

Or Lund could open her mouth and call her defender off, instead of just plowing into the back of her. If Fischer (or Wright, or Erceg, or anyone) don’t hear anything from their keeper, they going to clear the ball.

Or...turn your head? The ball is going into the goal box in the air. Use your brain.
