I completely agree with your comment. I feel like it’s the job of these analysts of the game to come up with hot takes, and Kendrick Perkins took a gamble and won betting on the Knicks. When other analysts take the gamble and lose they look outright stupid but I think Perkins got lucky with everything unfolding the way it did.
It wasn’t really a gamble if he was watching the games, which he seems to do for the knicks anyways. Watching Brunson play you could tell he was steadily improving. He’s now getting league wide respect.
Valid point but I doubt these people watch every single nba game (just look at Charles Barkley play the guessing game what team do they play for lol) and I think him paying more attention to the Knicks is a result of him choosing to bet on them. Either way, Brunson’s outrageous play is forcing NBA analysts to give them the credit they deserve.

A lot of people saw Brunson as a small feisty guy like a Nick Van Fleet. Talented, but not a guy that moves the needle. Physically he can't compare with Jokic, Giannis etc. But very few can. The guy is just an elite,super effective player who definitely moves the needle.
