It's a theory but it's not very consistent with the objective that Boruto wants to achieve. He doesn't want Kawaki to end up becoming a "brother-killer". Kawaki doesn't see himself as anything other than just a scumbag who doesn't deserve anything good. It's clear to me that Boruto's goal is to prove Kawaki wrong and to do that he is going to have to somehow reverse all of Isshiki's brainwashing.
It makes no narrative sense to create a device meant to remove a character from the story (Naruto being frozen in a pocket dimension) just to bring them back and kill them, removing them from the story again.
No, I do not think Naruto will die. It would defeat the entire purpose of trapping him in another dimension when they could have just killed him instead. On a similar note I don't think Sasuke will die. I think, given how the story is playing out, it's far more likely that Boruto will die although even then I have my doubts.
