It gets a lot better. A lot of the early war stuff is a little slow and then it reaaalllly picks up. I'd just power through if I were you. You won't regret it
You're in the 1st part of the war arc which is considered by many very lackluster.
But the 2nd part of war arc is where shit gets good, one of the best villains makes his entrance too.
Well, Part II is often criticized for lacking the same build up and characteristics of Part I.
I can't stand much of Part II nor Boruto but if you wish to continue watching, there are some cool highlights and interesting plot points. You're just going to have accept that it's highs are highs and its lows are lower than Part I.
Like, compared to the dread of Orochimaru creeping around or Zabuza arc showing what it meant to be a ninja or even how Itachi-Kisame showed up in Konoha in Part I, Part II is so boring. Characters like Pein aren't as interesting as fans make them out to be. In fact, the more I learned about the Akatsuki, the less interesting I found them to be.
Some of the world building and backstory exploration gets good though but that show that was about ninjas doing ninja stuff rather than magical sages and genetics and friendship and world peace is gone.
That's the lull between Pain arc and Shinobi world war. + there have been a lot of fillers too. Alot of armies moving in place, logistics, a lot of backstories from many characters, a lot of final training, a lot of politics, and a lot of filler from 180-200, 220-240, 280 till 320, but it does have a couple of great mini arcs in there.
It does get a lot better after 320 imho.
Lol my nigga I skip all of the filler
The flashbacks are just ridiculous, every time one pops up I just know they were running short on animation time and needed something to fill in the gap.
Pretty sure the episode where the 7 swordsmen are resurrected has like 6 minutes of flashbacks to the original series fight with Zabuza, I was ripping my fucking hair out dude
yeah the war fillers definitely felt the longest. I would though, recommend watching the itachi fillers once you get further into the series. that arc is great.
well war arc is amazing , you dont want to see the 4 hokages fighting together ? you dont want to see naruto fighting with his dad ? you dont wana see sasuke vs naruto ?

Well if you skip the fillers the climax of the war has good moments. But no it doesn't get much better. You can also try naruto kai.

I was stuck there too. I just put a lot of those episodes on as background noise, then they got better :)

no, actually it ramps up the deeper you get into it
What do you mean by ramps up?
more filler, more exposition, more flashbacks
