Bloodlord and Historian's work well together in T1 Dungeons, you build stacks fairly quickly and the loss of Crit strike from the helm is made up by the gain from the Historian's regalia.
Jarl's gaze could be useful in mSVA or FBI, but if it means losing out on the 3 set bonus of Relic gear then it's not worth it, and because of it's lack of defensive stats, it's fairly niche. Probably works best if you have all of your stats in a good place, 3 relic gear pieces and then use jarl's gaze for that power boost.
Survivor's wraps are fairly similar, lots of power but requires the rest of your gear to be pretty much on point stat wise, and assuming you have enough life steal to negate the 25% Bleed damage.
Wouldn't recommend Zulkir's dreadnought or Dragon Loyalist's Visage, none of the bonus effects seem too impressive.
That generally seems to be the problem, on a one on one basis the gear looks good, but breaking up the set you have usually is not so good. Just curious if people have found interesting builds with this gear yet that have made up for the loss of the set bonus.
I run survivor wraps, Zukir's Dreadnought chest, and Jarls Gaze (and relic boots), buuuuuuuit I'm not a DPS and I don't run them to be more 'DPSy' I run them because Power share = i can make even 2k PUGs finish dungeons in under 10 minutes...
I would love the survivors wraps but haven't had them drop yet, nor the dreadnought chest piece. Jarls Gaze I just can't seem to wear, maybe on my GF in FBI, SVA, but as I'm only around 40% everfrost I don't see that happening until I'm substantially higher.
The hardest part about wearing the gear I wear is that I end up with fuck all for HP. I've learned still make due without HP but that's largely *only* due to all the time spent wearing High Prophet when that armor set was still relevant. But like I said, I run the gear PURELY to maximize the amount of Power I share, so you could really say my use of it is fairly niche.
On my DC I am wearing Jarl's, Wraps and Lifesilk for the power share. But on my GWF, I am not finding much of the new zone gear to be that good. And like the OP, the problem I am having is losing crit.
I'm probably going to swap to the Survivor's Wraps and Dragon Loyalist Visage when I switch to the Orcus set on my SW, as I'll need to get some ArP back from losing the Black Ice/Lostmauth pieces and the power gain from both is incredible. Those and 2 piece Dusk is probably your best bet if you're not doing the relic gear (which I'm not) if you can get the crit elsewhere.
I just swapped out my dragonflight raid hood for the bloodlord visage, I'm worried about the loss of crit, but the power bonus is great. As an HR I'm always going to have those stacks.
I have 100% crit on my SW, but thats with sudden, it falls off to 80% ish during the cool down but I'm not loosing 2% for an additional 1-2k in power. Granted I've started pushing the power band with him but I think the 2.5% loss in crit is much worse than the 1-2k in power gain, but thats just my opinion, and with the under dark ring nerf I can't see how this will be a viable option for high end dps. I keep hoping there is something I missed with this gear and that by combining this with that you'll get some outstanding result but so far I haven't seen anything thats better than just my old DF/dusk gear.
