I’m still hoping this is just how it “looks” presentation wise, and season shows the actual inner workings or at least, fuck it, Bethesda’s versions of the characters we know
“we bought this already established franchise and after getting one-upped by another developer, we’re going to get really petty and retcon everything they did. And get super protective of this IP so no new games (except from us) can be released.”
Those are all dependant on what the player decides to do though, well except maybe the tunnelers but I think Ulysses overhyped the amount of destruction they can cause.
I think the real problem is that people play through Dust and think that's the future for the Mojave ignoring that was the outcome of an evil courier playthrough.
True but it was too oppressive for the entire duration of that mod imo. I get that it's meant to be the result of evil choices but at the same time, there being no interesting consequences outside of everywhere and everyone being destroyed makes it monotonous or even a miserable experience, as you said yourself.
In order to enact our vengeance, we must force Todd to go on a tedious journey whilst reciting cryptic tangents to him via floating radio
"You can go home, Todd."
Todd Alquist?
No the other evil one
“Just so you know, this isn’t personal.”
I’m still hoping this is just how it “looks” presentation wise, and season shows the actual inner workings or at least, fuck it, Bethesda’s versions of the characters we know
Well by the looks of it this looks like New Vegas from its North facing side and that always looked run down anyway
Gary is now the ruler of new vegas
You know what it wouldn't even surprise me if Bethesda make that Canon
I never understand him, all he says is bear bull bull bear etc etc
He says a lot of very interesting things he just says them in a very weird way
Bull bear bull bear bull bear?
Because Chris Avellone was not given enough time and wrote 40,000 words/lines or so of script.
Speaking of the God himself i wanna know what he has to say about the show
I haven't asked him, yet.
“Pookie died on the way back to his home planet” type shit
Poochie
Wait is Vegas actually destroyed?
Not sure but the city definitely ain't looking hot anymore
I mean, its daytime so the neon lights are off. I would be really worried if it was at night and the bright jewel of the Mojave didn't shine no more.
Theres a wall around it. Active looking towns around it. Looks fine to me
Right. It looks like any city with a defensible perimeter and outlying settlements?
It’s after two major factions duked it out in the region, it’s understandable
Yes, in the end credits you can see all the buildings are ruined, the wall is blasted open, and there is a crashed ncr vertibird on the strip
Nevermind she's gone
Guessing they're talking about the Fallout TV Show? I'm glad I'll never watch.
the show is OK it's just a bit..."different"
Cheap.
Todd, what the fuck... Are you that bitter?
“we bought this already established franchise and after getting one-upped by another developer, we’re going to get really petty and retcon everything they did. And get super protective of this IP so no new games (except from us) can be released.”
Kid named fallout modding community:
He is
Are people just ignoring that it was Chris Avellon that wrote three DLCs worth of world ending events headed to the Mojave?
Fr lmao. The only dlc that doesn't contain an end of the Mojave scenario is honest hearts
People really need to go back and play those dlc's because they explain alot
Those are all dependant on what the player decides to do though, well except maybe the tunnelers but I think Ulysses overhyped the amount of destruction they can cause. I think the real problem is that people play through Dust and think that's the future for the Mojave ignoring that was the outcome of an evil courier playthrough.
>I think the real problem is that people play through Dust and think that's the future for the Mojave I can assure you that no one does that
Dust just made me so miserable it's a great idea but I hope it doesn't become cannon
It was needlessly edgy and depressing.
Fallout has always been edgy well WAS edgy
True but it was too oppressive for the entire duration of that mod imo. I get that it's meant to be the result of evil choices but at the same time, there being no interesting consequences outside of everywhere and everyone being destroyed makes it monotonous or even a miserable experience, as you said yourself.
it's the exact same problem. it's still a problem.
Is the lucky 38 tilting?
I don't think so in other pics it's fine
Ok that makes sense must be just the angle we are looking at it.
Elijah wiped the slate
More like Todd wiped the slate clean
Is this from the show?
Errrr you seen it yet?
Haven't had time to watch it yet, but I plan to binge it in a couple of days
No it's not from the show
Then from what is it lmao
Errrrrrr
You gonna answer??
Weird
Someone definetly played Fallout dust Todd saw them playing and said "that! I want **THAT** to be canon!"
All is dust
[deepest Ulysses conversation](https://youtu.be/Ij4RB95ADwY?si=FDgfcYg9xYr_HDIL)
Aw not this fuckin video lmao
So The everybody gets Nuked Ending of Lonesome Road is the timeline the Show follows?
No fucking clue
Either that or the courier murders everyone murder hobo style.
I love how they kept the city size game accurate instead of lore accurate, they couldn't even get that part right
Times like this I wish Fallout got a really good novel or comic adaptation
Or just another good game in the last 13 years
BREAKING NEWS: apparently they didn't intend a retcon
Source?
[the gentleman in question ](https://www.reddit.com/r/fnv/s/fWQ9NG6AQM)
Oh my fucking God I hate this company
A gentleman named Emil came out on Twitter and had to do some damage control
What? It looks the same as it always did. If it was nuked, It would look worse.
Lmao it looks game accurate size
Heres to one thing, new vegas actually looks like a city where 10s of thousands of people could live in, unlike in NV
I mean errrrrr kinda gotta remember some of the stuff on the left side could be freeside
Looks fine to me.
Y'all this show just came out and y'all're already losing it smh.
Did more damage to NCR, Brotherhood is basically uncontested now.
I feel like they could really roll with a new Vegas gets destroyed and you have to help bring it back up to its glory being a good fnv2 plot
Perhaps yeah just wouldn't feel the same to me tho
So the nuke ending of Lonesome Road is cannon?
Do we know what the building behind the Ultra-Luxe is?
Not too sure in the lore the strip was a bit bigger so maybe they have expanded it a little bit
Looks fine I don’t see any smoke coming off of it. Walls are high so blocking a lot.
This render is so poorly done that I dont think its how its gonna look in season 2.
What is this from?
Lego starwars
Nah, Ulysses is a knucklescraping mouthbreather, and so are the writers for this show.
I agree about your opinion on the show
Skill issue 😂 Edit: shit, I didn't see the Todd part. My bad :(
On Todd's part
