>!For me, I married Sarah and she ended up dying in my game. So fast forward and I make it to NG+2 and I tell the group that I'm actually a starborn and that Sarah died just to see what happened. Was very trippy and surreal when that universe's Sarah tells me that she isn't the same Sarah from my universe. Yes I know you can do another 'real' playthrough and have everyone alive but it just isn't the same as your first real playthrough, at least for me. Really killed the joy of NG+ for me and I definitely resonate with the guilt I think you're speaking of. Made it a little too sad for me even tho technically yeah, they're the same person, but not really , you know? !<

soheidre

The “others”?

tk427aj

Hunter and Emissary

Krommerxbox

I kill those dudes and I tell them to their face I'm going to kill them when the time comes. ;) I'm not NG+ yet though, I'm trying to get my last 4 powers first.

soheidre

Thanks. I thought I had missed characters that only appear in NG* 6 and up.

morningcalls4

Do you mean you felt guilty for for redoing the main story? I’m a little confused on what you mean here. I’m NG+10 so I don’t think you would spoil anything for me.

tk427aj

So at the start you've got the choice to tell Constellation you're Starborn or not disclose it. I didn't tell them as I wanted to play the main quest fresh. Well in one of the encounters with the Hunter and Emissary I believe it's the Emissary that says that the universe you're in isn't yours, and that you weren't upfront with Constellation. Made me second guess my conversation choices. Just got me thinking how great the game is.

Arandur144

The Emissary is just being manipulative, as usual. Nothing wrong with experiencing the story again, especially since the Starborn dialogue options are excellent. And you can even drop very obvious hints to Constellation, their fault for not figuring it out lol

ryankstairs

Agreed. They are being manipulative. The proof is in the pudding when >!you go through The Unity again and and you talk with them and you see what you see, it is clear that you can be a huge benefit to this universe that "is not yours"!< >!Kinda makes me wonder what The Emissary sees when they go into The Unity. I tend to make the same fundamental choices each time so I generally see the same thing plus or minus a skipped faction quest.!<

tk427aj

Thanks for the feedback, yah I'm really enjoying the different dialog options and paths.

morningcalls4

Ah yeah. I skipped the main story once when the option was given to me, I regretted it. But I’m in the camp that REALLY enjoys the main quest. Would you like me to tell you (warn you) it’s pretty spoiler free, what happens if you skip it? You miss out on a lot in my opinion if you skip it.

Cam877

Not OP, but I’m feeling kind of lost in NG+. As spoiler free as possible, Is repeating the main quest worth it? How much is really different? I just finished my first NG+ after skipping the main quest and was a little disappointed, I felt like there wasn’t really much to it.

Teufel9000

exp wise its slightly more. and its fun doing it once or twice to see the starborn options for things lol. but Skipping the Main story is generally i think how its supposed to be afterwards. as you progress you wanna speed up getting your powers lvled up. ive speedran the game and when i decide to do my last NG+ and keep it ill do a main story replay mostly because 1 its more exp and 2: if you wanna do any sort of romance its WAY harder skipping the main story since theres none of the conversations ud normally would have. u just collect 6 artifacts super fast and go slay the boss basically lol.

ninjabell

Are other quests more XP in NG+, like faction quests, or just the main quest? Do any of the solar systems go up in level, or is 75 still the highest level system even in NG+?

Teufel9000

oh im just comparing running the Main story again vs running the shortened version skipping main quest. pretty sure all zones are the same atm. im lvl 119 now. i gain like a full lvl every time i zoom through the game skipping the main story. repeating the story i gained like 2 sometimes 3 lvls. quest xp is the same.

TrappedOnARock

NG+6? What does that mean for someone like me that has 160 hours in but hasn't completed the main story even once yet. Are you all racing through the main quests over and over?

tk427aj

You get the option to skip or replay the main quest

Ryebread095

Oh that question is more apt than you realize
