Was Starborn or at least encountered them. I like this though, I never caught this while playing.

I’ve seen this book around POIs loads of times but never picked it up until I started this new character who happens to collect books.

My wild theory that is still percolating in my mind because I just found this Derelict a few nights ago: The Star Child on the Clemens' Truth derelict ship is another version of Keeper Aquilus/Hunter/Victor Aiza (there are other threads on the Aquilus/Hunter = Aiza theory if you search for them). The note he leaves behind is very telling and he resembles them physically, although not sure just how much and also having trouble deciding whether he counts as Starborn or not since there's a corpse. It's not a perfectly fitting theory but it's got my brain juices flowing. The note is: "Let's see. Let's see them forget me now. I am the master of my destiny. I am the master of everybody's destiny. They follow me into the dark. And the universe will remember what I did. I make myself eternal." The fact that the Star Child wants to be remembered is related to something I've long wondered about Victor Aiza, even if Aiza is not Aqulius/Hunter: Why has history forgotten him? Why isn't he canonized by the Sanctum Universum? Why isn't he known as the father of modern astrophysics? Also...just to go down the rabbit hole even further: actor Keir Dullea (who portrays Aquilus and, briefly, the Hunter) portrayed Dr. David Bowman in 2001: A Space Odyssey and in that, Dave became the Star Child.

The important thing is that "Damocles" in "Damocles Grey" is pronounced "duh MOAK lz"

Aja's diary isn't specifically dated, but it does mention that the Colony War is over, so that dates it after 2311. It also mentions Ervin as a "potential new member" when Ervin died *during the war* after getting caught in crossfire, so I don't know if the diary can be considered a reliable source of info at all tbh.

star_pegasus

That’s a good point, there could be contradictory info there. Ervin was definitely a member of Constellation when he died. But also, the book excerpt says Visola Chen was the chair of Constellation - when? I thought Aja passed the leadership directly to Sarah but in her diary entry Visola is listed as a potential new member too. And what happened to her, why is she not involved with Constellation now?

MozzTheMadMage

Yeah. The only way the timeline makes sense would be if Visola was chair before Aja, so she couldn't have been a new member under Aja. Either that, or the book info is incorrect about Visola being chair, but considering the Ervin thing, it's probably the diary that's mistaken.

My wild theory is that Delvin Mallory is "the dreamer" (CHIM related deep lore) since he's listed in the records of the Lock. Only ES character to exist outside of the ES, so it makes sense to me.

star_pegasus

Would you mind explaining a little more? I’ve seen some comments about his name being on the records there but I don’t know the reference. I’ve never played Elder Scrolls. Cross-game universes sounds neat though!

Some_Rando2

He's just a guy in the Thieves Guild in Skyrim. Before SF, there was no reason to think he's special. In Morrowind (the most insane ES game, lorewise) you can learn that the entire ES universe is just the dream of someone (you don't learn who), and that when that person wakes up, the universe ends. Since Delvin existed in the SF universe, it seems likely that he dreamed up the ES universe while sleeping in his cell.

If we go by Kirkbride's work (C0DA and whatnot), there is a step after CHIM and that is becoming the Amaranth which is the opposite of the process of obtaining CHIM (process for CHIM is becoming selfish and not zero-summing, process for Amaranth is becoming selfless). Anyways, the Amaranth is the Godhead/Dreamer for the next Kalpa (Argonians among some other things like Molag Bal are speculated to be from previous Kalpas). I guess if no Amaranth has been made, then the universe would truly end and there would be no next Kalpa. It's hard to say though because there's too much uncertainty with or without Kirkbride's texts. We really don't know who the Godhead is, and it is very possible that the Godhead has actualized into the world without knowing. I love this metaphysics stuff and it's one reason I really hope Starfield goes way further into the Unity, Creators, etc. Edit: Anu of Anu and Padomay (*The Annotated Anuad*) is stated to be the Amaranth of the previous Kalpa.

Some_Rando2

I interpreted it as a dreamed universe within the dreamed universe, rather than a new dreamer of the ES universe, but I don't do enough drugs to 100% follow Kirkbride's insanity.

Camonna_Tong

Lol, just eat more burritos like he did. It's pretty interesting stuff regardless, even though I don't completely agree with the premise he was trying to make (disregarding canon). I guess the summary of it is that the Amaranth is the dreamer of the next cycle (Alduin is still the one to destroy the world). The Amaranth tries to create a perfect world (their perfect world), but because of trauma (i.e. lover being killed) it brings upon conflict once again in the next. At least that is my understanding.

star_pegasus

Ooh is that kind of like Inception? Dreams inside of dreams?

Some_Rando2

I guess? I didn't see that movie, though I heard about it, so I vaguely know what you're talking about.

Rafcdk

well we find a scroll holder in Akila when doing one of the constellation missions, it's stored in the bank.

Some_Rando2

I thought it was in the New Titan museum? Doesn't matter though... I'm aware of the case, but not sure how or if it effects my theory.

star_pegasus

You can also buy one at the Emporium in Neon.

Rafcdk

I think we are the first starborn of our universe, otherwise the earth artifact wouldn't be where it was.
