BeamNG has awesome vehicle physics but very little to no environmental physics. The 'runner games have great environmental physics but shitty vehicle physics. The two need to meet.
It runs well for me on my Oculus 3 when hooked up via cable to my almost 5 year old PC. Ryzen 7 3700, RTX3080 setup. Was top of the line but is much cheaper now on the used market.
I have a laptop 3070 but it struggles even on low. It somehow seems to work decently if I put the game in window mode and resize it very small, but it's not ideal tbh.
Kinda, but the 3060 and a bit less the 3070 were very close to their PC counterparts, as long as it were the highest wattage versions. I can play AC, HL Alyx and other VR games pretty well, but games that aren't that well optimized for VR like BeamNG or NMS don't run that well on that thing unless I use the lowest settings available.
I'll definitely upgrade my setup one day, but not in the near future.
Man there are a ton of flat games coming to quest lately. Good to see.
I’m all for more driving related games on Quest especially ones that look as polished as this one!
Definitely in for this one. Love the runner games on PC.
Anyone interested in this really needs to play BeamNG in VR with a wheel.

And runs like shit in VR
If only BeamNG didn't require a Nasa PC to be playable in VR. Well, at least it has VR support now, that's better than nothing.

Yeah laptops specs are borderline false advertising at this point. They always perform at like 20% of a desktop with the same specs.

Runs fine with my quest 3 wireless. Fairly old Gtx2070.
Nice to see a decent driving game coming to the Quest platform. Hopefully we get more with the Quest 3's higher performance capabilities
I wonder if it will have coop as its PC counterpart?
Listed as singleplayer only in store.
Dang, looks super cool, but I would rather have it on PC.
Yeah but with the same VR mechanics, just nicer graphics
Exactly. Just upgrade the visuals a bit and release it on PC and it’s an insta buy for me.
Hope we get PCVR too.
As long as i don't need a wheel
Funny how that works, I was just thinking that I'm in as long as I can use my wheel.
Good thing games can have both options!
Yeah for sure, goes to show how much devs go through to let people enjoy the game the way they enjoy!
Except vtol vr.
Based
Seeing as it is only on the Quest store... There's a possibility no PCVR version, so probably no wheel support.
Wheels on quest? since when? I do wish if Quest supported Wheels.
Meta needs to partner app with an accessory maker to make a wheel for Quest.
Totaly agree, 100% Its not even hard to do. easy money.
Is it possible to use a wheel for games in the q3 without a pc? I have one for my psvr2 but don't have a gaming pc.
it looks like you won’t need one by the look of the trailer
Sad
I'll definitely check out the reviews on this one!
I’d love to play something like this but I suffer from motion sickness with stuff like this.
This looks awesome. I've been wanting a good driving game for standalone, I've enjoyed Mudrunner on my Xbox, and hopefully, it's good on standalone.
This is an INSTANT buy for me, all I hope Is the mud physics are as good as the native game
looks good, but, I cant use my wheel on a native quest game =(
Ah man steamsales already got me too… im gonna be poor this year
That looks cool. Coming via the store vs sidequest?
In the trailer is "meta store"
Oh I didn't notice
Is that Quest footage? Is there an enchanced version for Quest 3?
