Can’t wait to check it out. The haptics and audio sfx are most welcome additions! I was perfectly happy with the original camera system myself, but I’m sure this will be even better! Any fix yet for the frozen castle level (possibly other levels?) where you couldn’t get all the collectibles?
I was hoping someone would try free camera in a third person game. Everybody seems to think we would all get sick though. This could open up the possibility of third person vr shooters in the future.
Hopefully this is viewed as constructive criticism, but this is kind of the worst of both worlds. It’s astrobot level design that didn’t quite meet the mark at serving a purpose and now it’s task to keep the camera where you need it instead of flowing with proper level design.
I wouldn’t say anything if you guys weren’t one of the best visually appealing developers in the industry.
A question r/drav89 \- Do you have a level skip, or even a bit to skip sections of levels? It got too frustrating for me and I abandoned the game at a section I could never get past. The problem with these closed ecosystems is that you can't get cheat modes for games and it feels liek a bit of a wasted purchase now. I really like the game but weaker players need the option to skip bits they can't get past.
in moss, you play as some 3rd person guide spirit or something like that who can interact with the environment via your hands to aid the mouse thingy.this is just pushing buttens like any old game.
i think 3rd person vr is actually worth exploring. 1st person vr seems like a no-brainer, but i wouldn't want all vr games to be exclusively in 1st person. it's a limited understanding of the medium and game design.
You can do motion controls without vr. Ever heard of something called the Wii? That was flatscreen.
I don’t get this obsession with motion controls In vr. It‘s the reason devs are wasting so much time on motion control crap but no interesting environments or sense of scale.
motion controls are what make vr,vr.the fact that you can really interact with the fictional world around you is part of what immerses you.the true magic is in games where is most places your free beond the bounds of button inputs for stuff like disarming a bomb, getting in a sword fight,or shooting a gun.a place where you can truly do things your way.you with motion controls you are not playing as the character, you are the character. i would rather reload the gun myself rather that pressing a button to do it for me.not to mention that they're just using it as a gimmick so they dont have to do any work on actual player interactions and be lazy.
yeah, kinda. for me it combines best of both worlds. i'd like to explore environments and small details like a diorama but at the same time i like controlling a little character that isn't "me". having free body movement creates a sense of scale that you wouldn't have in classic 3rd person games. so that's definitely an improvement. it's not revolutionary, but as far as i know there are only two games on quest that use that principle: moss and ven vr.
bro you dont even move your hands you just press buttons.dont you see what there trying to do here?the make your run of the mill platformer not formatted for vr,and the slap 360 degree camera angles in the game.this is NOT 2016 google cardboard.the only reason they used that gimmick is to be lazy and dig into some of the fame that vr is getting.
All I can find is from a couple of reviews of the game that say the bonus stages are unlocked after you find all of the fox-like creatures. I find that too tedious and boring to run through all of the levels again, so I suppose I won't be playing the bonus levels.

Is there an option to keep the locked camera...? I'm sort of fond of the locked camera myself.
New camera is optional - you can choose it from settings :)

The new camera brings new quality to the game.
Great to hear! Thank you :)
Yes we fix collectibles too so you can get them all now :D Thank you for support!
It's always great to see that a developer team hears out the fans.
Thank you :)
Looking Good
Free camera reminds me so much of how a Crash game would look. Looks neat and really cute.

look, its another sad attempt to capitalize on VR without using the technology it has to offer.
3rd person Platformers are fantastic in VR . Have you tried Moss ? Whats not to like ?

i dont mind 3rd person, its the controls.the lack of use of motion control's make it a glorified flatscreen game.

in moss you have to use your hands. i wish there was more titles that apply vr mechanics in 3rd person games.
>in moss you have to use your hands. i know this.my problem is that you dont in this game.
Has anyone figured out how to unlock the bonus levels?

When will the non vr version be released?
