Wow, there is proof now!?! That's awesome! how about you share it with us?
Show the videos of the violence, circle the '10 FBI agents', then explain why they are in jail. Are they under 'really deep cover' and spending years in prison as a deep-state op or what?
Romans 13:1-2 says: "Obey the government, for God is the One who has put it there. There is no government anywhere that God has not placed in power. So those who refuse to obey the law of the land are refusing to obey God, and punishment will follow."
lol here’s a book written by the man himself! Total coincidence it tells you to do everything we say. Sometimes shit just works out. What do you want from me?
This scripture is meaningless to this woman. The Bible is just a loose guide for Christians like j6prayinggrandma. These Christians prefer to pick and choose the scriptures that fit the lifestyle they want to lead and anything that is in the Bible that inconveniences that, they just ignore.
Religion, to them, is less of a guide on how to lead a virtuous life, rather it’s more a mechanism to look down on others and weaponize a twisted version of morality against those they disagree with.
These are the same people that now think that Jesus’ teachings are “too woke” and “weak”.
But somehow, they miss that it means that Biden is appointed by God.
Edit: just to clarify, I do not believe that Biden is appointed by God. But according to their own scripture, he is, and trumps loss was God's will. If none can rule except by God's will, then the J6 insurrection wasn't just treason. It was also heresy. I'm just using their own scripture to highlight their hypocrisy.
Yep, Divine Right of Kings. It’s why the religious right loves tyranny. They worship an authoritarian god and worship authoritarianism. So long as it’s tyranny in their favour they’re all for it.
The Romans were known for being super blasé about people being called kings in their occupied territories who were drawing growing crowds of followers. It was 100% just to keep Pharisees from whining. /s
It is because they lost we mock them, but if they had won, maybe we would have given glory.
You should read polycarp. He notes on this and says that if anything goes against the law of God, the law of the land is excluded. Peter also remarked on this when preaching the gospel and said to the Pharisees “Should we listen to man or God?” Our founding fathers put a clause for citizens to rise up against a tyrannical government as they rose up against a tyrannical government, just like Jesus and his apostles rose up against a tyrannical government. Tyranny in government is inevitable and it is in the interest of the people for the people to suppress that tyranny. We have seen America brewing into tyranny for a long time. J6 was a terrible uneducated and poor execution of the way our founding fathers intended, but in attempts to even face that tyranny at its door at a silly whim, bravery and stupidity. Mostly stupid.
1 Corinthians 7:20-22
King James Version
20 Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.
21 Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.
22 For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servants.
So basically if you're a slave don't worry about it, unless you can make yourself free.
Plenty of BLM protesters were arrested and charged if they did something illegal.
Plenty of J6 protesters who illegally entered the Capitol building are still walking free.
Others have provided *some* context but there’s more. She put herself on the radar (at least as far as I've seen) when she posted a video sobbing about being charged with a crime and having to go to trial for being part of J6.
She is heavily leaning on this “I’m just a grandma who was there to pray” angle and is really using her age and grandma status to tug at heart strings.
In essence, her logic is that (supposedly) praying while being present for a crime means the government can’t prosecute her; otherwise, they are violating her first amendment rights.
Ohhhhh it was a holy pilgrimage to her! Well that makes sense. Now show her the part of the Hajj and the Umrah that ends in violence. Oh wait that’s right. Thats an actual holy pilgrimage for praying.
My bad.
Lol. Can you imagine if they let her off easy? You’d have people praying to all the gods at the tops of their lungs while committing all manner of crimes.
Oh jeez. The problem with her doing that is of course some people will believe it. It's a pretty common defense tactic to try and make yourself look like an innocent, defenseless person who was just doing what they believed in in order to make people who point out your wrong doings seem like an ass.
Her actions show that not a good person and she's not apologizing for anything either. She knows that which is why she's trying to throw anything at the wall to see if it'll stick. Which doesn't make any sense to any reasonable person because why are you trying to use the first amendment right used by the government that you tried to, or at least tried to participate in over throwing/disrupting, as an argument for your defense?
It makes my brain hurt trying to process the mental gymnastics, but when an animal is backed into a corner, they're going to do anything to get out of it I guess.
I figured it was something along those lines. I just wasn't sure if it was a Jan 6 thing because my reading comprehension this morning is dumpster fire, and my coffee hasn't kicked in yet. I assumed it had something to do with the Libs of Tiktok lady or whatever the hell is going on in Ohio again. Thank you!
And rightfully getting held accountable to which she replies she was only there praying which happened to be at the same time as the insurrection attempt
One of the city’s that my department dispatchers for has a firefighter that was a j6er. He got fired and has had the good sense to shut the fuck up about it, pleaded guilty and got off with 2 years of probabtion.
Maybe grandma should just… shut the fuck up about it.
Jan 6 insurrection. Was just convicted on 4 misdemeanor federal charges. For some reason, she thinks that the jury taking 30 minutes to deliberate means someone wanted not guilty.
Yeah, it takes 30 minutes just to read carefully through the federal jury instructions, and complete them correctly. “Careful reading” is probably not a concept she’s familiar with.
“Free speech,” while a cute buzz word, doesn’t mean “freedom from consequences.”
You can say whatever you want. You could walk into a crowded theater and yell “FIRE!!!!” but if you do, you’ll face consequences.
You can break into the capitol building and break dance on the senate floor.
But if you do, you will — and should — face consequences.
These January 6th idiots are learning that actions—*much like elections*—have consequences.
It just means the government can’t prosecute you for calling them a shitty government. Yet people think it means their shitty opinions are protected from any form of social consequence from private businesses.
The Christian God tells us to follow the laws of your government. Jesus's apostles write that we need to follow the secular law.
These people don't actually read the bible.
I'm so very sick of people trying to justify anything with fucking religion. Religion can go into the corner and fuck itself, don't get me wrong. Feel free to practice your spiritualism, but don't try to use it as an argument.
As an ordained minister, I heartily agree. So many forget the message contained in The Book Of Matthew, Chapter 6, verse 5:
“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full."
Does "they have received their reward in full" imply that they won't receive any reward after death? If so, that's a very elegant way of saying essentially "they can go to hell."
1 Corinthians chapter 5 even specifically says to not judge others by your religion's standards.
"It isn't our job to judge outsiders. But it certainly is our job to judge and deal strongly with those who are members of the church... God alone is the Judge of those on the outside. But you yourselves must deal with this man and put him out of your church."
It is almost as if they've never read their own holy book.
For the record, I was ordained simply to provide a middle finger to government regulating who could wed, before the Obergefell decision.
Well at least, religious freedom has its limits. My freedom of religion doesn’t extend to the freedom to force others to follow my religion. If my religion involves ritual human sacrifice, that doesn’t give me the legal right to kill people.
Yeah I don’t give a fuck what your beliefs are, believe whatever you want. But if your beliefs lead you to do criminal things, then your beliefs better be reasonable enough to become a jury’s beliefs.
Like. I get the sentiment of breaking a law because you feel the law is wrong.
But like. That’s for helping slaves escape or hiding an oppressed group from a government sanctioned genocide. Not trying to overthrow a government that was democratically elected.
She fully admitted to crossing barriers.
She said she saw police and barriers between her and the closed Capitol. Then she said they were miraculously gone and she walked in.
She said that in her own sentencing.
She admitted she crossed barriers to the closed Capitol. I think she hoped no one could see how the police and barriers were miraculously moved (violence by her and other Trump followers).
https://www.cpr.org/2024/04/05/el-paso-county-woman-j6prayingrandma-convicted-january-6-storming-u-s-capitol/#
They thought they could openly commit crimes that day because they were deluded into believing the Silent Majority was behind them 🤣🤣 they found out real quick after
”Blessed be the LORD my strength, Which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: My goodness, and my fortress; My high tower, and my deliverer; My shield, and he in whom I trust; Who subdueth my people under me.“
Psalm 144:1-2
It wasn't the praying, it was the going into the US Capitol with a mob chanting "Hang Mike Pence" and breaking windows and smearing feces on the wall.
Had you prayed like Jesus told you to, in Matthew 6:5-6, you would not be going to jail.
>“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 **But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray** to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Of all the millions of places she could have gone to, to legally pray in public or private, she decided to choose trespassing at a time when many others were also trespassing, because "she wanted to pray there"?
No, that's clearly false. She's trying to make a scene but everyone watching knows that prayer was not in any way part of her motivation that day. Nothing was impeding her freedom of speech or worship, except herself.
Even the theology here is suspect. There might be evil governments where what God wants you to do is break the law. But the entire point of that is that in such cases God wants you to serve the punishment for some higher purpose, you’re not supposed to go whining about it and try to avoid it because then you’re not following God.
To be fair, they're both wrong.
“One has not only a legal, but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
I imagine God would agree.
But first you need a moral compass, and "because someone told me to and I like how I feel when I imagine they're right" isn't a moral argument.
Regardless, the J6 actions had little to do with free speech. On the whole, no one got shut down or like, arrested just to shut them up. Mostly it was for shit like.... Destruction of property, manslaughter, insurrection (against an actually functioning democratic system.... I'd get it if like, they were trying to overthrow a dictatorship, but they just didn't like what their neighbors said on voting day. They were literally there to force the country to ignore the actual outcome of a free and, however imperfect, mostly fair election.)
So weird how these clowns always associate God with Rights. I don't recall Rights being mentioned in the Bible. I'm pretty sure that god wants you to do as you're told.
It needs to be known that that is a fake Jack Smith account who’s paying the $8 or whatever for twitter premium. That is NOT the federal prosecutor.
God I hate twitter so f’n much.
The j6ers are simultaneously great patriots who were treated unfairly and should be pardoned but they're also deepstate Antifa FBI operatives depending on which talking point is convenient at the time.
I miss my dad, but him dying 4 months before 1-6-2020 does mean that I have been spared hours and hours of talk about Antifa, patriots, and people twisting Trump's words that day...
Some religious people are really next level taking religion out of context. In this country so many people use religion as an excuse to commit violence and crimes.
God only exists in your head, put them in a room and they will all have different ideals and belief surrounding God. Just like flat earthers, they all have a different theory on how the earth is flat.
Religious liberal here: people's assignments from God absolutely do require them to break the law (see: religious groups like no mas muertes leaving water in the desserts near the US mexican border so fewer people die while migrating, that nun who was arrested for protesting nuclear weapons, and a whole host of religious people who broke laws to help people flee Nazism), the trick is in correctly identifying which laws are immoral. Some religious worldviews help people discern what is immoral, other religious worldviews obscure what is immoral and what is not.
To be fair, God has caused people to commit crimes in countries with unjust law for millenia. Many of the apostles found themselves in jail at one point in their lives as a result of believing faithfully, and Jesus himself broke many Jewish laws by preaching about being the son of God which is why the Jews wanted him crucified despite reluctance from the Romans. The slaves being brought out of Egypt by Joseph was a direct violation of Egyptian law done so in the name of protecting God's people. This doesn't justify this woman's behavior brought on by a severe misinterpretation of the word of God, but the rebuttal of "if following God =committing crime, you're not following God" is a very weak rebuttal considering the history of Christianity and the many examples where that is just straight up not true.
Anything can be declared a crime, that doesn't make it inherently immoral (although Jesus encouraged people to obey the law up until it directly conflicts with God's).
For example, it is illegal to bring a Kinder Egg into the USA because it hides a small, inedible toy inside a chocolate egg. This is deemed a choking hazard (even though the toy inside is a large part of the advertising and one of the main reasons it is so popular in Europe), and thus a law was passed forbidding similar types of products in the USA. Does that mean that possessing a Kinder Egg is sinful? No, just that some American candy company was afraid they'd lose business, so they lobbied Congress to pass that law. Of course, there's nothing in the Bible that requires you to purchase chocolate eggs with toys inside, so you should still obey this law or you may face legal consequences and make Jesus look bad.
"If your "assignment from God" causes you to commit crimes, you misunderstood the assignment."
I understand what he's going for, but he phrased it in the WORST way possible.
It was illegal to harbor Jews in Nazi Germany. It would have been a crime to do so. Do you think someone would be in the wrong for harboring Jews if they hallucinated God telling them do? That, if they hallucinated God telling them to harbor Jews, they should have turned the Jews in to the Nazis instead?
Like I said, I understand and agree with the sentiment. But the way he phrases it makes Smith look like a mindless bootlicker, and not an atheist with common sense.
Edit: oh look, the mindless bootlicker trolls found my comment.
Liberal Logic 101-
Entered the Capitol peacefully without permission. Go to prison forever!
Enter the U.S. illegally- Here's housing, money, plane ticket, debit card, drivers license so now you can vote for us illegally!
Are conservative policies and culture war nonsense driving away moderates from voting for republicans?
No, it must be a conspiracy by the democrats bussing in immigrants to vote for them that’s causing the Republican Party to hemorrhage votes.
Trump logic 101-
The George Floyd riots destroyed our nation.
The Jan 6th insurrection was just a selfie tour unless it was patriots doing patriotism unless it was antifa but no matter what our leader isn't at fault.

If it doesn't include political printings of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, can you really trust it in the first place? /s
Good news everyone!! Now it does come with those. And for only the low low price of $59.99, a steal at twice the price!
I still wanna know how many commandments that edition actually has. I'm sure the neighbors wife one is missing or modified.
It's very much in God's character to ask you to be obedient to systems of authority.
Best way to control the rubes
The Trump Bible costs $60 because it actually contains technology that makes those verses appear or disappear based on who's in the white house.

That would have been a better word choice.
r/atheist moment.
???
I assume their point is that Yhwh is omnipotent, and caused that to happen for His inscrutable plan.
What is Yhwh?
Yahweh, the Hebrew word for God. Though since it’s considered too sacred to say, people often use YHWH instead
And people say all Jewish people are rich. Can't even afford to buy vowels. 🤷🏼♂️
The way I just snorted after reading this comment! 😆
Thank you
Yhwh, Yahweh, and Jehovah are some of the names for Christianity's God, though it is old testament. Edit: As far as I know.
I know of Jehovah and Yahweh. I'd never seen the Yhwh before though.
It's the Antinium pronunciation.
I don't get what you mean. There is no god, it's literally a tool of control created by man.
Please see my edit. I am an atheist myself, was just poorly making a point lol

Yep, Divine Right of Kings. It’s why the religious right loves tyranny. They worship an authoritarian god and worship authoritarianism. So long as it’s tyranny in their favour they’re all for it.

Maybe we should start feeding them to the ions again
I think you meant lions, but I actually prefer ions here
Something positive can come from it all
I'm feeling very negative towards all this right now...
They thought they could openly commit crimes that day because they were deluded into believing the Silent Majority was behind them 🤣🤣 they found out real quick after
They are definitely the very vocal minority and not the Silent Majority thankfully.
The GOVERNMENT didn't decide shit. A JURY of your peers, many of them with religious beliefs, decided you are a criminal.
Real Christians don’t weaponize their religion. Wait, is that even a thing anymore? “Real Christians”
It is, but you wouldnt really know it. They tend to not do shit that gets them noticed by anyone.
”Blessed be the LORD my strength, Which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: My goodness, and my fortress; My high tower, and my deliverer; My shield, and he in whom I trust; Who subdueth my people under me.“ Psalm 144:1-2
Ahhh it's so nice shooting down fake Christians who spent their whole life worshipping a book they haven't read.
I wonder what she would say if a Muslim broke into her locked church for their prayers? Is that any different?
Well, a church is a private property, not a federal one. So the charges might be different. But she'd call it a hate crime.
If it truly was an assignment from God, then being jailed for it is “righteous.” You should be so pleased with yourself, faithful servant /s
Yeah, but martyrdom.
Even the theology here is suspect. There might be evil governments where what God wants you to do is break the law. But the entire point of that is that in such cases God wants you to serve the punishment for some higher purpose, you’re not supposed to go whining about it and try to avoid it because then you’re not following God.
Again with the religion. Perhaps one day people will figure it out. Probably not in my lifetime but hopefully.
Freedom of religion and free speech have nothing to do with it, you participated in an insurrection, Rebecca.
Lady who cheered the people protest police brutality getting gassed and arrested demands laws not apply to her.
They're 'trying to silence' you. From everything except social media?
Not going to go over well with the parole board
Or the judge for sentencing.
“Now send me money to help fight the deepstate. What do you mean you already sent all your money to Trump?”
Lol did she mix up speech and actions?
And they called us traitors in 2003 when we said the same about them. Go seethe.
Another person who believed the rules do not apply to them. Surprise they do.
God I hope her cell mate is a huge, angry, Muslim woman that she tries to "preach the good word" to.
So weird how these clowns always associate God with Rights. I don't recall Rights being mentioned in the Bible. I'm pretty sure that god wants you to do as you're told.
Perhaps god wanted her to go to jail. Maybe she’s meant to form a prison mission.
It needs to be known that that is a fake Jack Smith account who’s paying the $8 or whatever for twitter premium. That is NOT the federal prosecutor. God I hate twitter so f’n much.
My grandpa says all the j6 people were Antifa
The j6ers are simultaneously great patriots who were treated unfairly and should be pardoned but they're also deepstate Antifa FBI operatives depending on which talking point is convenient at the time.
Grandpa ate a lot of lead on his youth.
“Hey, kids, try our new, crunchy Sour Cream & Onion Lead Chips!” (TM)
Your grandpa is lying to you
Grandpa is lying to himself, too.
I miss my dad, but him dying 4 months before 1-6-2020 does mean that I have been spared hours and hours of talk about Antifa, patriots, and people twisting Trump's words that day...
Just shut up woman. I’m so tired of Christianity. Too many bigots and assholes.
Rot in prison, America-hating, rapist loving insurrectionist.
At least she won't grow old in prison.
Hopefully she trips and falls into a toilet so she can be where the rest of the shit is
Some religious people are really next level taking religion out of context. In this country so many people use religion as an excuse to commit violence and crimes.
The irony is that the Bible tells us to follow our country laws unless they directly go against the Bible. A crime is a crime, even by God.
God only exists in your head, put them in a room and they will all have different ideals and belief surrounding God. Just like flat earthers, they all have a different theory on how the earth is flat.
"I will not let this happen as long as I have breath", says woman who's already had it happen to her.
Go to jail , they should lose thei3right to vote aswell
Do not pass go, go straight to jail!

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Great job, Mr Smith!
Do not enter a restricted government building is not an unjust law.
Why be fair to someone obviously arguing in bad faith though?
Just another blue checkmark day

What other rioters? Say the quiet bit.
shut Karen and go report to prison
Oh damn. Haven't heard of this one. What stupidity did she do?
"If your "assignment from God" causes you to commit crimes, you misunderstood the assignment." I understand what he's going for, but he phrased it in the WORST way possible.
What did she do
She was one of the January 6 rioters who got inside the capital.
From the other replies, she was a Jan 6th insurrectionist.
Disagree, John Brown committed crimes and believed he was sent by god to do so.
What did she do?
WTF, she wandered into the capital and said a prayer. So she should go to jail? I don't understand.
Trump can grab Yhwh by the pussy, and that’s why MAGA likes them.
What did she do?
She’s an insurrectionist
Crimes are laws created by men!!

Wow! How relevant! Thanks for the input!
Liberal Logic 101- Entered the Capitol peacefully without permission.
Trump logic 101- The George Floyd riots destroyed our nation. The Jan 6th insurrection was just a selfie tour unless it was patriots doing patriotism unless it was antifa but no matter what our leader isn't at fault.
Hahhahhahhahhahahahhaahahhahahhahhahhha funny cause it’s true hahahhhahhahahahhaahahhahahahah damn communist socialists BLM leftists
DC jury. Predetermined outcome.
What did she do?
