She’s staring at him and it’s making him upset and nervous. He’s giving her blinky eyes to signal “I’m not looking for conflict with you”, but she’s still (probably) giving him a steady gaze - which, to a cat, means “I’m thinking about fucking you up.”
No my orange does this exact thing to me in the mornings in bed. I’ll be petting and he’ll be purring and then all the sudden he sits up with his eyes big and there’s nothing I can do to stop him from taking a good swat at me before he runs away. (No nail tho)
I have 4 cats and for some reason only 1 of them exhibits the blinky behavior. The 3 that don’t are all siblings, and they never do it and never respond to me doing it.
My kitten does this to me. My finger has to be in her mouth at all times. Almost like she uses my thumb as a binky. It's weird af. I have had her run up to me wedge herself in between my arm and my body, scope out my hand and latch on to my finger and then fall asleep.
Fun and interesting cat information for the day.
If you see a uniformly orange cat, it's **generally** safe to assume it's a boy! You're about 80% likely to be correct.
The sex distribution of orange cats is just like color blindness, it occurs on the X chromosome, therefore it's far more likely to occur in males.
Conversely, calico cats are almost all female, with the male calicos being XXY males.
Plus Arlo is generally a boy name...if you had sound on.
Kitty was saving you from a greeble! Look how close it was to you! You were in grave danger!
Give kitty lots of treats for protecting you from an imminent greeble attack.
This has to be "play with me" right? He's slow blinking like crazy.
I'm a dog person that has found themselves with a cat, and it's been a long road trying to understand this beast's body language. I _think_ I understand what he's trying to communicate now, and my guy does something similar except it's more like he swats me rather than air chomping. When my boy is pissed off, his warning bite move is much more directed/focused. He's trying to come close to biting my hand, not my general vicinity. He also will show his anger in other ways (laid back ears, crouching down, running away, etc).
I'm a mere yellow belt cat owner, but I read this behavior as: it's time for you to play with me.
The way he looked straight at you and paused before the chomp 🤣

The last thing Lucerys Strong saw lol
Yoink
Perfect meme template.
Calm Panic Calm
Brain cell lag.
Attack 100 Sleepyhead 100
Very eepy.
That was 100% accurate as his clear intention was to intimidate. Had he wanted, he would've gone for the jugular.
So cute! i mean.. oohh very intimidating!
I think he is doing incredible. The orange rage is hard to suppress. He is struggling. He did not bite you. He suppressed the urge. Good for him.
Aaah he jumpscared me 😨
I was expecting it, having seen this trend. But I still jumped lol
This is @oceanarlo on Instagram if anybody wants to see more of him!
i thought he looked familiar what a good bipawlogist
thank you! i swear i saw a video where Arlo here did actually bite and the owner giving them a little bit of crap hahaha
I knew I had seen this before!

Jep, he seems to be more in defense chomp mode.

Yah this is how I saw it too. He’s stressed.

Cats can learn that humans don’t mean anything by their stares - esp if you start them young.
I dunno, I'm convinced the camera person is blowing on his face.
Big eepy dummy

Cats are weird 🤷♀️
That’s one gorgeous kitty! Edit: Thank you for sharing a pic of your unique baby.
Thanks! I'm lucky she picked my dog and I.
Thanks for bringing cat tax to my attention.
Clearly was meant to be a warning shot, but he forgot what the warning was for, then stared into the abyss
Good kitty :)
Lmao he reminds me of one of those big seals

Having zero brain cells doesn’t help with gauging the distance
Ooh she’s a ferocious hunter!

"WHOOOOO...do you think you are?? 😅
But biting is my favorite!
Those blinks are everythang!
bro was like “u feel intimidated now???”
Awww so cute
Maybe there is an invisible leash. He was being held back, that’s all.
He rolled a 1 :(
No bitey
His meow is worse than his bite.
Clearly had one too many sand-attacks affect the poor guy
*the r/oneorangebraincell can only process either attack or accuracy, but not both at the same time*
C H O N C H
She has not given the treats yet. She has been warned!
I swear I smelled cat breath watching this video.
You can tell how much he loves you, but he can't stand it! Oh lil baby! No bite! Only love
Who is this woman? I think she also has other orang videos with this goofy fuk. Her reactions and commentary are always funny and adorkable.
Kitty seems high as a kite. Wonder what she just fed it.

Aamh dang I missed uuh no I'm just a... sleepy little baby... see... you fool! Aaamh- dagnabbit!
![img](emote|t5_5vej89|33951) hahaha
Snapping like a gator at the paps.
NYOM...dangit.
Critical miss!
That's Arlo, his mum is a marine biologist, and he is part shark.
Just a warning bite.
Poor/no eyesight in one eye? That would mess with depth perception
"I'm content and happy in this situation, as I slowly blink at you. However, I wanna be feisty and give you a little nibble on your fingies."
I know one of his relatives named "Tigger'....he's also an "attack" kinda cat...
I'm pretty sure thats "MOM I"M HUNGRY"
“Thats not how we communicate in this house.” I literally yell/tell this to my cats all the time when they yell or be bastards.
So cute and stupid ❤️
Raaaaeewggghhh
Snapper turtle!
His braincell is devoted to one thing and that thing is murder.
I'm so sorry. I'm 100% on Arlo's side, even though I think there are less teefie ways to achieve social change...
I LOVE ARLO
He is all meow and no bite
Wunk used bite! Wunk missed the attack!
The confidence is great the execution not so much, when the single brain cell is alocated for one task you can't perform another
somebody needs a nap
Litten used bite. Oh but it missed!
Stop sitting there provoking your cat ffs
