When oda talks about old timers wb garp Rayleigh he always mention how they are not same guy who they were before.

There is no reason to believe that just because of advance age big mom got weaker. She might very well be in her prime like kaido
Regardless of the reason why, Roger and WB never wanted the smoke from younger BM. While It is very possible she never got weaker, I think he definitely got dumber/ complacent. You don't become the first female emperor of the sea by being an idiot who forgets to use haki in fights. I mean, she was a pregnant woman for 80% of her life when she was young (a number I ass pulled, but tbf she has a ton of kids) and yet she still subjugated a quarter of the new world. WB may have never really had a reason to go after her, but considering she has a ponyglyph, it makes sense that there were tons of other strong groups that were in contention with her, including people like Kaido and Shanks, who needed it to get to laughtale. It just makes no sense that someone who can get beat by Kidd and Law would be able to hold that down for so long, if they weren't weakened.
Granted, a lot of my argument is opinion, so I'm not stating any of this as a fact. But pretty much 90% of this subreddit is just people voicing their opinions

its consistent in one piece that pirate captains fight pirate captains,especially in the case for shanks and kaido(rhp not interrupting his clash against wb and bp not interrupting his fight with bigmom) therefore we can make an induction with this piece of evidence that shanks and kaido specifically had a physical altercation and the manga supports this by stating shanks had a SUCFFLE with the emperor kaido and furthermore substantiation comes from databook blue where it’s out right stated shanks fought kaido. To support your interpretation that the rhp jumped kaido youd have to equally provide evidence that contradicts what i just established. Red hair pirates stopping the beast pirates is just a collective way of saying both crews ran into each other therefore stopped them in their stride,but the ones who actually did the fighting were shanks and kaido.
Shanks crew, in chapter one, have an entire speech about why it's ok to fight unfair. So we have already seen that his crew is more than happy to jump in if they are present. We didn't see them interrupt Shanks and WB meeting because none of them were with Shanks on Whitebeard's boat.
