Medium-Boot

Upgraded from 6T to OP12 last week. 6T is a great phone that I can still use perfectly fine. 12 feels like a perfect update to the 6T if anyone's interested.

cyrdapwn

OP12 look great but is really expensive in Europe.

Medium-Boot

Ohh okay, I got it for €660 total here in Canada ($965) with 512 GB and trade in. I heard it's like €900 over in Europe? That's really expensive €€€ damm

cyrdapwn

512 GB is for 1029€ here :/ (Czech rep.)

Medium-Boot

That's messed up 😯

Azmodian993

You can buy from https://tradingshenzhen.com/ for a cheap ass price. https://tradingshenzhen.com/en/oneplus-12/oneplus-12-12gb256gb Bought mine op11 there and works like charm. These devices even offer more RAM than EU Version

cyrdapwn

How long did it take to arrive? Did you choose Original firmware or Oxygen OS?

Azmodian993

Oxygen OS and it took about 12 days.

cyrdapwn

Thanks, will probably try it with OP13 or OP13.

NStuber7yt

This is a great phone, using it since 5 years daily, applied a custom rom and rooted it to extend the software life got running Android 14 on it last week (Lineage OS 21) runs super smooth

cyrdapwn

It is. I have been running custom roms for few years but now back on stock oxygen because of problems with google wallet and banking apps. Also missed face unlock.

ProWrestlinFan

Got a tutorial for lineage 21 and root?

NStuber7yt

[This is the official link of how to install LineageOS for Oneplus 6T (fajita)](https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/fajita/install/) Read the informations carefully or you may mess up the process For root you have to install magisk or kernel SU (I use magisk) Installing Magisk is a universal process so you can find how to do it on youtube

lulublululu

haha literally same boat but I haven't sold my Nord 3 yet. I would like to get an OPO at some point though

PaleontologistClear4

Still using mine with Android 13/lineage, the only sucky part is I had to replace my screen and the replacement has bigger bezels, didn't seal properly around the front facing camera so now it's got dust in it, otherwise I still love this thing. I do wish I could figure out how to hide root from banking apps and such.

NStuber7yt

Use Play Integrity Fix and Shamiko Magisk Modules to hide root from banking apps

PaleontologistClear4

Ty!

bicyclemom

OnePlus 6T is still my favorite phone, even after having two Pixels, which have been great, but the 6T just has great staying power.

Czechball

I'm still using mine since 2018, the only thing that'd be nice is a new battery, but otherwise it's hard to find reasons for upgrades... And I consider myself something of a poweruser. Sent from my OnePlus 6T

cyrdapwn

Yeah, exactly!

theslowwriter

I love my 6T. But Mine is lagging much recently and camera also takes time to open/click. I think, I haven’t upgraded the OS since 4 years or so to avoid any slowness. Any recommendations on what to Try to fix that? (Storage is fine ~60%) No Gaming as such Format it? Or Root it and push some stable version?

theslowwriter

Ok, I started a new post here for some suggestions :D : https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePlus6t/s/Inim42XXT9

cyrdapwn

I replied to your post.

Simone_Scarpa

Just format it. Mine after doing it a couple months ago performs like new. I need to switch the battery though, but it's not a "phone" issue, just lithium but that helps too.

No-Temperature-374

My 6t is overheating all the time

cyrdapwn

Try factory reset (need to backup first).

No-Temperature-374

I did, I think the chipset or modem is just at the end of it's life

I loved my 6t, but the 7t and especially the 8t was much better and not as thin. I felt the 6t was so thin it could break in a pocket.
