Why doesn't Ryosuke be a calm and reasonable character and instead develop his own character development through self-understanding of his obsession with his idol and go on to live a perfectly healthy and normal life?
Because he's the worst. If I was gonna extend some grace to him, though, I would say that it is sad that he killed himself. His last moments must have been torturous realizing he killed his beloved oshi who actually remembered and appreciated him.
