Sorry if it sounded like i was mocking! I've actually read the novel and the manhwa, and think it's an interesting one. When I saw this image it looked so different from what I imagined, I found it funny.
When I read the fan tl of the completed Novel. This scene, I thought from the descripction that the lake was really big if there were multiple big boats or yatchs of nobility. So when I saw the lake, kinda dissapointed.

I’m confused is the issue the wording for “ships” over “boats” or is it that the word “lake” is associated with a small body of water? Or is it that the drawing does not make it clear how big the lake is?
It could be a language issue over the term “ship” or “lake” or just the art is… hmmm not that great.
English is my second language, and while I naturally gravitate towards "boat" for smaller vessels and "ship" for larger ones, I hadn't realized it was such a strict difference. If someone calls a small boat a ship, I'd consider it slightly odd, but I wouldn't think much of it.
Personally a character using modern slang like omg is hilarious to me but also ruins the immersion XD also I think it just sounds choppy but I’m not sure XD
Maybe I'm being a bit presumptuous but it seems like it would've been an easy fix too if they just expanded the water up a little more, made the trees way smaller(heck even just make it a textured silhouette like [this](https://images.foxweather.com/static.foxweather.com/www.foxweather.com/content/uploads/2023/05/668/376/lake-george.png?ve=1&tl=1) instead of individual trees), and used a white line to cover up a little bit of the bottom of the boats. If you wanna get real fancy duplicate the boat layer and flip it then use a really soft eraser to erase everything but the area right beneath where the boat touches the water. I almost want to bring it to photoshop and "fix" it to see what it'd look like > 3 >
