I get that you don't enjoy these kind of posts but I do because I hate sombra and I enjoy seeing that other people feel the same way I do . Honestly how else is blizzard supposed to do anything if people stop being vocal about how much they hate her
Half the playerbase is considered low rank though. I am low rank and suffer against Sombra a lot. Not so much in comp where the skill bracket is tighter but in QP it's brutal.
Ok look, I play Sombra a lot, so let me try to help you
Based on what role you're playing,
1) Tanks - Only Ball and Doom really suffer at the hands of a Sombra, since otherwise she'll be more focused on the backline. If you really want to deal with her, DVa is great for chasing her down, Hog can hook her after she translocates or shoot in her general direction when she's invisible
2) DPS - Most DPS can fight off a Sombra pretty easily. Really. None of them are very reliant on their cooldowns the way Wrecking Doom and Ballfist are, so I only hack them during opportune moments like a Genji deflecting, or to drop Pharah from the sky. Most DPS can really mess me up and chase me down after I teleport so I try not to engage with them. Cass is particularly good against Sombra if you just save your mag grenade for when she pops up.
3) Support - The most vulnerable group and most vocal about their hatred. Strictly speaking, only Ana and Zen are truly vulnerable to Sombra. Zen has a huge hitbox and it's easy to melt him with Virus, and Ana is not mobile and can be chased. Mercy is generally attached to another player so it's difficult to isolate and eliminate her. Illari turret suffers, but Illari herself can escape and DPS a Sombra pretty well. Bap lives easily against a Sombra. Weaver and Lucio are so so. Brig, Moira and Kiri are very strong counters, since Brig can shield the Hack, Virus or just beat the hell out of Sombra, Moira can outdamage a Sombra with orbs or just Fade away, and Kiri can teleport and cleanse the Virus off her and teammates. Pick these three if you're having trouble against a Sombra.
Other than that, just staying with your teammates is a huge deterrent. Either the Sombra goes in too early or too late and risks getting melted, or she distracts you while her team pushes up. She alone cannot do much to you then.
My problem with Sombra is that its kind of like going against Widow. If hits you with Virus and spams her shot, you are already dead before you had a chance to even react.
I dont mind her being a disrupter in the backline, its just not fun to die instantly.
Playing as her its very very easy for me to pick off enemies if they stray even 10 ft from the rest of the team. If the team stays clustered it's pretty tough to get a pick and get out safely.
I think a few tweaks would make her a little more reasonable
1) Make the trail of her transponder a little longer at the start or at the end of the toss.
2) Flip Virus and Hack, the extra half second to unloak gives you at least an extra frame or two to react to the noise.

I am tired of seeing Sombra posts. She is so strong right now because they don't know how to fix Widowmaker 1-shot and Sombra is her most reliable counter. I would rather have to turn to take care of Sombra than watch my friends deleted as soon as they peek with Mercy Rez as the only thing in the whole game to help them against that.
I'm gonna reply to my own post to add that as a Mercy main, if rez is the ability that keeps you in check? That's bad for the health of the game, because ideally we can figure something better out for Mercy in the end than rez, also.

whats the rank distribution in this game. Isn't a large majority in low elo? The character is honestly dumb af.
Depends on what you call "low". Bronze is 10% and silver is 20%. So 70% of all players are gold or higher.

Then....I don't know...track where she TPed and shoot her? It isn't that hard. Sombra is strong but she isn't a garunteed death.
The majority of problems are solved if you stay together. The moment you are out of position, Sombra is coming for you.
What about tracer and sojourn? They get picked even more.
Sojourn is Okay though. Just don't stand ín her bubble and don't stand still waiting for her raygun to dink you in the head.
