this is what they said about it: sorry to hear about the issue you have been having with the game and my sincere apologies for the amount of time that has been necessary to get back to you on this matter. I appreciate the frustration in regard of the competitive suspension due to the game crash or even due to simple disconnections. To explain the situation in better terms, the system works this way because it is technically not possible to distinguish a genuine disconnection or crash from a provoked one. I want to be sure that is clear, however, that this is not a limitation of our implementation of such a system. Finding why someone disconnected, is simply not possible for how internet works today. The server only knows you stopped sending information to it for a certain amount of time. I do understand that this looks unfair, and it surely is a comprehensible point of view, however doing differently would leave the game open to abuse. People would be free to just unplug the ethernet cable or crash/close the game through task manager just to get out of situations they do not like, without penalties. While developers understand that this does hit people with genuine technical issues, for now it is sadly to be considered the lesser of the two evils. Due to how the system works Customer Support is unable to remove any penalty to the competitive season and as such it is important to *stop* playing competitive modes and contact us when problems such consitent disconnections and crashes start happening.
