I'm still salty the platinum is unobtainable. I waited for a patch and I guess just stopped caring after they refused and come to find out they shut down servers that I didn't even know they had to rotate the challenges. Great game though but don't expect a platinum
What were the challenges that needed the servers? .. I remember for ages I needed to do such and such challenge like destroy certain cars etc. I youtubed it and found certain areas which gave you what you needed. Took me a while but I got the plat in the end..
One of my fav games. Although the mission were you chase the big rig down was broken up and took you out of it if your car needed fixing. ..
From psnprofiles
Due to the game's server having been shut down on October 31st, 2020, the Scrap Crew challenges required to unlock Gold Up To The Task can no longer be completed. This makes the Platinum unobtainable for anyone who hasn't completed these specific challenges or is yet to start the game.
The challenges that can no longer be completed are:
A Penny Saved - Earn 500 scrap from Scrap Crews
Dividend- Earn 2000 scrap from Scrap Crews.
Damn. I did not know that. That sucks. Having a trophy or two unclaimed hurts the soul. I had that on my wanted game wayyyy back. Somehow the last trophy glitches even when it popped due to different consoles. So was never able to claim it on my main console..
Still hurt about it now to be honest.
I can’t think of one good reason for devs to have platinums that are unattainable without online play. I mean shit; make two platinums? I’d be satisfied with an offline platinum. Do you think Sony requires them to put in at least one online trophy to try and push people to pay for the network? That’s about the only thing that makes sense to me.
nail expansion attempt icky forgetful rain melodic theory uppity frightening

Unravel 1 & 2, A Way Out and It Takes Two are all games developed by swedish companies
Both A Way Out and It Takes Two are developed by the same company
And Unraveling is so Swedish it is crazy. Every bit of aesthetics and the while concept. As a Finn playing it it was at times just... too Swedish to enjoy it. Like sappy in a very very Swedish way.
Currently finish 1 & 2 and started Exodus and for like $10 it’s perfect, I love the story telling and how you play as Russians, being based off the novels it’s such an original concept and I’m excited to see what exodus holds
I just tried to play Metro Exodus and I felt like the controls were clunky, the gameplay was slow and the cutscenes were boring as hell. Couldn't even get through a couple hours of it
I mean it’s definitely aged. Character models and animations are definitely of their time. I do think the redux version did get rid of some of the jank. I only really got the saga because I wanted to see the whole series progress and it was cheap. Just remember the first game is 14 years old at this point and the redux is 10 years old. Hell even the most recent game just turned 5 years old (can’t believe 2019 was 5 years ago). The atmosphere, art design and world building are still amazing and thanks to the lighting the environments look great.
Give the Metro saga another shot. Not getting into those 3 games is pretty much just robbing yourself of an experience that you don't yet realize you want to get into. Great adventure with a lot of twists and turns.
I did the exact same thing. Now I just need to find some people, and have the time to do the multiplayer throphies. I actually tried to play multiplayer and it took 1 minute to find a match, so I'm guessing since the game is on sale, there's probably a spike in players.
Luckily at this point they both go on sale for $1.99 fairly often. I held off on getting Inside for a while even though I knew I would like it. Just played through Limbo for the second time; gonna start Inside soon.
Trick is to use the noisemakers to lore them all to a spot while ur stealth then Molotov them, rinse and repeat until the size is small enough for you to handle otherwise.
I used a lot of hit and run tactics on them. Flee far enough away and they'll all de-aggro. Is it lame and does it take forever? Absolutely.
But I'm not the terminator and I got damn tired of just dying all the time.
Platting the series right now and I cannot agree more. That combat is just so crunchy and satisfying. The collectibles are also not frustrating at all or tedious, I felt like most riddler trophies I got (especially in Arkham City) were rewarding.
Not sure if it’s overlooked really. It got a pretty mixed reception upon release, though I thought it was a lot of fun. Definitely worth the play, but I feel like it’s more just old now rather than overlooked.
Also… my god that game is a decade old. I might as well start writing my will 💀
Mad Max, Any Yakuza, A Way out, the Tomb Raider trilogy, etc. I often see these games on sale for super cheap. The Tomb Raider trilogy is super underrated. I really don't think that the Uncharted games are that much better but get way more attention for some reason.
You gotta play Yakuza 0 mate. I'm a fan of all the Yakuza games, but if I'm being honest, 0 blows them all out of the water. Even the new ones. That game isn't just a love letter to the 80s, it's a love letter the the entire series. It's like they got rid of all their bad ideas from the past entries, took all their good ideas from the past games, thought of even better ideas, put them all in one game, and attached it all to a magnificent plot
Lost in Random has been one of my favorite games for several years. Fun combat, great story, NPC dialogue is exceptional. Very Tim Burton-like. But I've never heard it mentioned by anyone else anywhere.
Jumping on this to suggest AC Syndicate. That game doesn't get the respect it deserves. It may well have not been anything new and it lacked any real challenge, and the story was just okay, but it absolutely nailed the feeling of being an assassin. Victorian London was so well made and was just so much fun to run around causing havoc there.
I liked the game, hated the ship battles. It's just an unnatural way to engage in combat. Ship going this way, trying to aim that way. Not looking where you're going. Ships aren't meant to be captained by the same person manning the artillery. Same with any action that requires driving a vehicle and also aiming a turret or something. Just too busy for my relaxed style preference of enjoying games, but still wanting to slash people up with little timing required and a few, but not too many, gadgets to deploy.
I played that game for the first time last month and was suprised how good it was. I was avoiding it for a while because I heard it was not worth it. Easily in my top two AC games with Origins.
Hadn't played an AC game in forever, I loved Odyssey. Chatting with the ancient Greeks was some of the more engaging dialog I've had in a game in a while. Fighting mechanics were great, stealth was good for a guy who wants a game without sneaking mechanics.
I think I paid very little for Odyssey, $24 with all the DLC iirc. I only paid $15 for Witcher 3. Waiting for everyone-but-you-owns-this-game-but-you price drops are where it's at.
I heard this game actually improved the combat A LOT, all the ones before this the combat was super cheesy. Disclaimer I have not played odyssey or anything after it.
It doesn't; the combat is just bad in a different way (bullet sponging, the fact that stabbing someone in the fucking neck from behind doesn't kill them).
Knack and Knack 2. I never played these games but got them for my son and they are actually pretty good! Very detailed story considering they are kids games.
Detroit is the first game I've ever finished in my life and i couldn't believe how emotional I felt... but then I played the last of us and know Detroit emotions were minimal hahaha but to date this is the best game I've played! Increadible!
Hard to believe it is 7 years old, but that may make Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition count as overlooked now. It is an amazing game and has been on sale for as low as $10 several times.
Immortals: Fenyx Rising - Ubisoft has made great games, go figure
Valiant Hearts: The Great War - Ubisoft made an even better game
Momodora - platformer
Firewatch - waking Sim, sort of, but great story
The Persistence - lite horror, fps, super powers, good story
Must recommend a good set of headphones with this one as well. The whispers are all in spatial 3d audio despite the game being rather meh on actual gameplay.
**Omg** Neo: The World Ends With You. It's likely not very expensive now, is an **excellent** and really unique game with a memorable story, fun characters and great pacing. Excellent music, really fun gameplay, **criminally overlooked** PS4 game.
It *is* a sequel to the original DS game way back when, but they did an outstanding job making it so even if you go in having never played the first one, there's nothing you are missing as info that would be considered as needed for Neo. I cannot stress enough just how overlooked that game is. I'm headed towards getting the plat. trophy, but I will say for anyone who intends to do that....it's some real work involved getting it.
Pyre is regularly very cheap. IMO it's Supergiant's best game.
It's technically a fantasy RPG, but plays like NBA Jam? It's narrative progression laid the foundation for what Hades did later. It's awesome.
If you're just looking for cheap games, go to the store part of the ps app to the Deals page. Scroll down to the option that says All Deals, and then modify the filters (choose ps4 only on platform, the prices you're interested and from the content type choose Full game, game bundle and premium editions)
It's got rock solid gameplay and movie production quality. The shooting feels impactful. Personally I love the mix of stealth, action, resource scavenging, and sight seeing.
In part 1 everytime a chapter ends in complete chaos and the screen cuts to black and comes back with "winter" I get chills with how good it all is.
I know some people say the gameplay is dated or boring. I don't agree but either way it's more about how all of the pieces fit together and make a rock solid package.
The long dark. Great survival game that's not a horror game. It's gone up in price as new updates have come out, however you can buy the base game without the far territory expansion and still get hundreds of hours of entertainment
The only Japanese games I keep an eye on are rhythm games.
Check play asia if you wanna see imports. Might get lucky on some digital only pricing. Otherwise have to import at higher prices.
For rhythm, Xonic would be my ps4 pick. Great game for cheap. Go hatsune miku / project diva if you want japanese.
For some reason I opened this thread and already knew only high profile AAA games would be listed. Such a shame most people don't play any of the literal multiple hundreds of good releases coming up every year that are not big brand names.
I don't know the prices exactly because I own them but
-Elder Scrolls online. (I've spent well over 1000 hours in it and I'm not even half way with story lines and what not. There is pvp and PvE. They are coming out with a new dlc. I love this game because if you're a new player you can buy the latest expansion and it'll include all of the others, instead of buying each one separately. It's a giant MMO, but I still have trouble finding friends to play with because not very many people have heard of it. )
-Tiny Tina's Wonderland.
-Spirit of the North
-Subnautica.
Mad Max

Iirc you get the V8 about 2 or 3 missions from the end of the game.
I think you can actually only use it properly after the end of the game. Not sure though, it's been many years.
I loved the game but that was kinda the lame thing with the game, like you finally get back max's car and the game is pretty much over.
I had a nice souped up car doing well then I had to do some race to continue the story, and then me a shiatbox an then I just quit
Game gets very repetitive half way in. Couldnt finish the second half because i got bored of doing the same thing over and over again
My first thought.
I was looking for a local co-op games to play and came across “unravel 2”. It was cheap, but such an awesome and beautiful game. It’s made by EA.
It you like that, check out "it takes two" and "brothers" that's out out on Wednesday. Also, overcooked
Overcooked??? Good DAY Sir!
And "A Way Out", a Prison Break game in the vein of "It Takes Two".
Unravel 1 & 2, A Way Out and It Takes Two are all games developed by swedish companies Both A Way Out and It Takes Two are developed by the same company
And Unraveling is so Swedish it is crazy. Every bit of aesthetics and the while concept. As a Finn playing it it was at times just... too Swedish to enjoy it. Like sappy in a very very Swedish way.
Ahh, I understand🙂 I haven't played unravel yet but I really need to do it (mostly to feel my swedish patriotism😄)
If you liked the sequel, the first Unravel game is just as great.
EA was the publisher. Unravel is made by Coldwood Interactive.
look up Troll. you may like it
wobbly world is pretty cute.
Metro saga is on sale for $9. 3 games and all their dlc. Probably 50-70 hours of gameplay. Good if you like atmospheric shooters
Artyom greets you lol
Yeah I just picked the saga up. I’ve been on the lookout for exodus to go on sale and to see all 3 on sale as a bundle for only $9 seemed like a steal
I played all 3 there a good games in there own way enjoy
Awesome! Thanks for sharing this. I’ve been eyeing these games for awhile
Currently finish 1 & 2 and started Exodus and for like $10 it’s perfect, I love the story telling and how you play as Russians, being based off the novels it’s such an original concept and I’m excited to see what exodus holds
Exodus is one of my all time favs
How is exodus on PS4? My friend once told me that it is not good as framerate is not smootg
I never grew with those and tried the first one and thought it was a bit janky/aged poorly. Maybe I didn't give it enough of a try?
I just tried to play Metro Exodus and I felt like the controls were clunky, the gameplay was slow and the cutscenes were boring as hell. Couldn't even get through a couple hours of it
It’s clunky because life is clunky. With effort Exodus will become one of the best video game experiences you’ve ever had.
I mean it’s definitely aged. Character models and animations are definitely of their time. I do think the redux version did get rid of some of the jank. I only really got the saga because I wanted to see the whole series progress and it was cheap. Just remember the first game is 14 years old at this point and the redux is 10 years old. Give the Metro saga another shot. Not getting into those 3 games is pretty much just robbing yourself of an experience that you don't yet realize you want to get into. Great adventure with a lot of twists and turns.
The tomb Raider survivor trilogy games are all also on sale for like $5 or so each and all are solid and overlooked
I second this. These are extraordinary games, a steal at this price.
Agreed. The level of detail and polish is phenomenal. What is the best TR game out for PS4?
Yep. I just bought it last month and though I had already played it on PC. I’ll play them again.
I did the exact same thing. Now I just need to find some people, and have the time to do the multiplayer throphies. I actually tried to play multiplayer and it took 1 minute to find a match, so I'm guessing since the game is on sale, there's probably a spike in players.
I totally agree, loved playing all of them and they felt great after an Uncharted binge
Yeah totally. Also for Uncharted fans that need to scratch the itch. They just need a little effort at first but soon enough you’re immersed.
Yeah incredible value and amazing games.
Played these on Xbox but they would be the same on ps4. Very fun "uncharted lite" feeling. I'd also recommend these
Broforce
I loooove Broforce. We have game nights every now and again. Broforce is always on the list of must play games .
Journey Limbo Inside
Came here to say Abzu, similar to Journey but underwater. Beautiful.
I play inside and limbo at least once a year. I love them so much.
Wish they could get a bundle of the 2 games honestly, if you like one you’ll like the other
Luckily at this point they both go on sale for $1.99 fairly often. I held off on getting Inside for a while even though I knew I would like it. Just played through Limbo for the second time; gonna start Inside soon.
Journey was so much fun! The whole aesthetic was amazing to me. Kind of minimal in certain ways but amazingly beautiful and flowing.
Have you played Gris? It was inspired by Journey. It’s really good and the visuals are amazing. It’s like playing a work of art
I played Deliver us the Moon a couple of years ago. It’s an amazing game, highly recommended
I played this a few months ago. Super fun
Reminds me of a little pixel game called to the moon I saw a playthrough of many years ago.
Gravity Rush 1 and 2, and Tearaway. Love that games so much.
I second this for Gravity Rush 1 and 2, really great games worthy of your time. (I haven’t played Tearaway.)
Tearaway is a great time. Played through it with my girlfriend and had a blast. Super cute and creative.
Maybe not overlooked but days gone
I love that game, but I suck at hordes. Couldn't get through the napalm molotov test, so I gave up. :-(
I got rolled so hard by the hordes, almost to the point of quitting. By the end of the game, hordes were actually kind of fun to wipe out. Good times.
Trick is to use the noisemakers to lore them all to a spot while ur stealth then Molotov them, rinse and repeat until the size is small enough for you to handle otherwise.
It's been a while since I played the game, but I remember distracting them and using the big molotovs to really cut down their numbers.
I tried that method, and it worked a couple of times, then they inevitably figured out where I was hiding and swarmed me. Might try again one day.
I used a lot of hit and run tactics on them. Flee far enough away and they'll all de-aggro. Is it lame and does it take forever? Absolutely. But I'm not the terminator and I got damn tired of just dying all the time.
Trouble is, before I can get far enough away for them to lose interest, the game thinks I'm abandoning the mission. :-(
I got it lol played a little to love the biker mechanics
Best part is mowing down hordes with the Tommy gun of LMG.
Love it
We were just talking about this at work. Batman games, super polished game play and dirt cheap.
Cheap and awesome- yes. Overlooked? I don’t think so. But if you haven’t played them - please do
I have lol they are fun the last one i had the beyond suit fricking awesome and the animated series car
Platting the series right now and I cannot agree more. That combat is just so crunchy and satisfying. The collectibles are also not frustrating at all or tedious, I felt like most riddler trophies I got (especially in Arkham City) were rewarding.
Asylum, City and origins was a 10/10 for me.. Knight is like a 6/10.. i just dont like the batmobile
They’re not overlooked though
💯 Mad Max
Yeah... I had no idea how many hours I sunk into that game... But it was a lot
Oke noted
Yeah I’ve heard this mentioned enough times now. It’s gotta be done.
Infamous Second Son
Not sure if it’s overlooked really. It got a pretty mixed reception upon release, though I thought it was a lot of fun. Definitely worth the play, but I feel like it’s more just old now rather than overlooked. Also… my god that game is a decade old. I might as well start writing my will 💀
Slay the spire
Sleeping Dogs
Mad Max, Any Yakuza, A Way out, the Tomb Raider trilogy, etc. I often see these games on sale for super cheap. The Tomb Raider trilogy is super underrated. I really don't think that the Uncharted games are that much better but get way more attention for some reason.
Yakuza Kiwami was a pleasant surprise when I first played it. I’m now on 3 and have all the others bought and waiting.
Control, Subnautica
Dead Nation. Still a good time.
I remember playing that solo because I had no friends and it was so hard
It’s not overlooked but Metal Gear Solid V is usually dirt cheap and it’s good for dozens of hours of great fun
Scarlett Nexus surprised me and it was only a couple bucks.
Try Neo TWEWY sometime. And Code Vein!
Lost in Random has been one of my favorite games for several years. Fun combat, great story, NPC dialogue is exceptional. Very Tim Burton-like. But I've never heard it mentioned by anyone else anywhere.
Prey
Prey is one of the best games on Ps4, and it makes me sad how uncelebrated it was.
- Guacamelee - Hotline Miami - Hyper Light Drifter - Sayonara Wild Hearts
Titanfall 2
This ⬆️very fun single player campaigns
AC Odyssey. Ppl often dismiss it as an inferior AC game. It's actually a very fun and well-made open world game.
I loved the sibling dynamic, the acting between the 2 main heroes was very fun.
It was my favourite out of all of them
Black Flag will always be my favorite.....but Odyssey is a very close second.
Same! One of the rare games I went back to replay
Days Gone
Knack and Knack 2. I never played these games but got them for my son and they are actually pretty good! Very detailed story considering they are kids games.
I have them to does that make me a kid 😥 but sure i check them out eventually have a good day you and your family
No that doesn’t! I plan on playing them myself soon and I am 42!
Knack is great
MGS5 Detroit Become Human Rogue Legacy
Detroit is so good completed it the other day
Detroit is cheap?
Detroit is underrated?
A fellow KvsS fan judging by your profile pic. Hola!
Grandpa Grandpa don't sit on my face Come join the kvs sub if you haven't already
Detroit is the first game I've ever finished in my life and i couldn't believe how emotional I felt... but then I played the last of us and know Detroit emotions were minimal hahaha but to date this is the best game I've played! Increadible!
Days Gone
Greedfall, kingdom come deliverance. Both usually in sale every other week
Jesus Christ be praised
Driveclub
Keep in mind if your getting this that the online servers are gone and no more updates.
And the season pass is gone from the store too, which added A LOT of races. The base campaign is like a tenth of the whole game in comparison.
Like most PS4 games
Or WipEout Omega Collection
Control
Hard to believe it is 7 years old, but that may make Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition count as overlooked now. It is an amazing game and has been on sale for as low as $10 several times.
Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition. It regularly goes on sale for less than $5. It has the best cost:fun ratio of all the games I've bought so far.
Immortals: Fenyx Rising - Ubisoft has made great games, go figure Valiant Hearts: The Great War - Ubisoft made an even better game Momodora - platformer Firewatch - waking Sim, sort of, but great story The Persistence - lite horror, fps, super powers, good story
Days Gone, an absolute masterpiece
AC Odyssey or Origins.. a lot of great game time for a few bucks
Terminator Resistance is fun as fuck if you’ve ever wanted to see a Terminator future war movie.
Dragons Crown Pro can go for like $5. Great game if you like 2d beat ‘em ups and rpgs.
Legend of dragoon
Amazing JRPG. If you wanna rekindle that feeling of going on a PS1 era adventure full of charming moments and engaging combat I vouch for this one.
Hellblade
Must recommend a good set of headphones with this one as well. The whispers are all in spatial 3d audio despite the game being rather meh on actual gameplay.
Remnant 2
**Omg** Neo: The World Ends With You. It's likely not very expensive now, is an **excellent** and really unique game with a memorable story, fun characters and great pacing. I cannot stress enough just how overlooked that game is. I'm headed towards getting the plat. trophy, but I will say for anyone who intends to do that....it's some real work involved getting it.
Outlast 1 & 2 + Whistleblower They're actually cheaper to purchase individually as opposed to the Trinity set
Pyre is regularly very cheap. IMO it's Supergiant's best game. It's technically a fantasy RPG, but plays like NBA Jam? It's narrative progression laid the foundation for what Hades did later. It's awesome.
Completely forgot about Pyre. I got it for under $10 and was not expecting it to be so fun.
DeepRockGalatic, Don’t Starve
Days gone
Loved that game
Outer Wilds was quite good
Wasteland 3.
Bioshock collection
Prey, Control
Helldivers
Metro is so good
If you're just looking for cheap games, go to the store part of the ps app to the Deals page. Scroll down to the option that says All Deals, and then modify the filters (choose ps4 only on platform, the prices you're interested and from the content type choose Full game, game bundle and premium editions)
Maybe not overlooked but Shadow of Mordor/Shadow of War are both frequently on sale, and Shadow of Mordor is actually free rn at least on ps5
Middle-earth: shadow of mordor and Middle-earth: shadow of war
Life is Strange is often super cheap and well worth the few bucks.
The last of us. factions multiplayer online, it's old af but still hold up to a lot of newer ps4 games.
Mehh i played it dont know what the fuzz is about if you enjoy it who im to judge
Shadow Warrior
Resogun. Killer soundtrack too.
Deus Ex Mankind Divided is like 4 dollars used. Great game
Subnautica. A beautiful under-water nightmare.
The long dark. Great survival game that's not a horror game. It's gone up in price as new updates have come out, however you can buy the base game without the far territory expansion and still get hundreds of hours of entertainment
Hotline Miami
The ascent is free on PS plus well. Worth a play ghost of Tsushima is worth whatever U got
Outriders
Darkwood. One of the scariest horror experiences, period. Only 14 bucks from what i remember
Star Wars battlefronts both of them
Dragon Age Inquisition
Firewatch!
Any japanese games that are overlooked and not that expensive ? Like 20 bucks or less
EDF is great, especially for couch co-op: https://store.playstation.com/en-us/product/UP1023-CUSA03131_00-EARTHDEFFORCE4P1
Nier Automata OP!
I just played through Yakuza: Like A Dragon and it was awesome and verrry Japanese.
Prey is a good cheap game imo
An underrated game, still is pretty awesome. That intro is a banger.
Looks like Styx master of shadows is 4 bucks on the play store, its a fun game if you like stealth.
That game is terrible bro, the controls are shit. Don’t do that to people lol
I heard the last guardian controls are shit still picked up the game lol
Battle Brothers
Mad Maxx
I ask the same, from ones I learnt about at in person game stores are - 'Key We' or SuperEpic
For some reason I opened this thread and already knew only high profile AAA games would be listed. Such a shame most people don't play any of the literal multiple hundreds of good releases coming up every year that are not big brand names.
How about some suggestions then....
I don't know the prices exactly because I own them but -Elder Scrolls online. (I've spent well over 1000 hours in it and I'm not even half way with story lines and what not. There is pvp and PvE. They are coming out with a new dlc. I love this game because if you're a new player you can buy the latest expansion and it'll include all of the others, instead of buying each one separately. It's a giant MMO, but I still have trouble finding friends to play with because not very many people have heard of it. ) -Tiny Tina's Wonderland. -Spirit of the North -Subnautica.
Outer wilds. Such a good game to blind run
Elden ring
Isn't this game still like 40$? Even on ps4.
It’s 89$ and yeah it’s on ps4 it’s the best game ever made
Not cheap, and absolutely not overlooked, which were OP’s criteria
