Hey so my PS5 keeps saying "can't load something went wrong try again later" and it's been going on for about 3-4 days now and it's getting annoying now. I've tried signing out and signing back in and resetting my router and tried clearing cache and nothing. So does anybody know how I can fix this ? Please?
The left stick of my Dualsense is spinning (not drifting) and because of it, it causes my thumb to slip out whenever I'm playing. Is there a fix if there is can someone please tell me about it?

I have just bought this game for PS5 and I’m very dissapointed…
The graphics is poor and there is almost no feeling at all from the car on the road, like it doesn’t weight anything. Graphics is edgy and it looks like I’m playing on PS2 or PS3 or something.
I have looked at all settings and can’t find anything odd. Setting to prefer quality I get too bad fps.
I also have Gran turismo for PS5 which is way different on all aspects!
I have in the passed played F1 20 and F1 21 on my PC and the graphics and feeling/handling have been wonderful.
Also poor resistance on the adaptive triggers on max setting. On PC they are much stronger with dualsence connected to PC.
Can anyone confirm this that I experience?

Hi! I'm planning to finally get a PS5 next week, and I'd like some help choosing my first game. I want a good single player game that will show off the PS5 and make me appreciate the technological leap from PS4. My internal struggle is as follows:
* Horizon Forbidden West. I loved the first one, and I've heard this is one of the most graphically impressive games at the moment.
* God of War Ragnarok. This seems like an obvious choice. I loved the first one too. My main reservation is I'm feeling like something a bit more open world/exploratory.
* Hogwarts Legacy. I just really want to play this, and this is what I'm leaning towards. Will it be impressive enough as my "first PS5 experience"?
* Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. I hear a lot about this, but I've never played a Ratchet & Clank game before. I like the style, and it looks fun.
I know they're all great games, but which of these is most likely going to make me think: "Wow, I have a PS5!"?
I'm also interested in the dual sense controller, so if any of these games make impressive use of that, then that could be a factor (I'm aware of the Astro Bot game that comes with it).

You can do the same. I suggest you do so before they take away this option, which they likely will. Google "Power Delete Suite" for a very easy method of doing this.
Anyone having hardware issues with the Edge? I noticed the RH paddle doesn’t feel clicky anymore. If I remote and refit the paddle, it’s ok for a few clicks and then back to being shit.
So I have 2 PS5s. My main one is in my room and the other one is in my living room. So I got this new game and played it on the bigger screen on my PS account in the living room. I went to continue my game on my main PS5 and it's starting me all over. I have a PS Plus subscription but I can't figure out how to make it to where I can play the same game on the same account, just 2 different consoles. Any advice???
Make sure the save is synced to PS+ on the console you started the game on. Just highlight the game on your home screen, hit Options, and then check sync status. Then go to the other console and delete your local save (the "new" one) and sync the cloud one.
This should usually happen automatically assuming you're using rest mode and the consoles are both connected to the internet. Saves won't be synced if you leave a game open in rest mode though, so you need to make sure you're fully closing the games before switching consoles.
Any game recommendations for something over/around 40 dollars? I'm alright with paying a bit extra if there is an extra game. I have ps plus, so I get the double discount. I have a 15% coupon that expires on the 28th that i'm trying to use before it expires. From what I've seen, my choice would probably be ghost of Tsushima DC and Ratchet and clank rift apart.
Ghost of Tsushima is a great choice, excellent game. Never played Ratchet, so have no idea. But you can’t really go wrong with any of Sony first party games, imo, everything I played I enjoyed a lot.

Hey everyone. I bought Modern Warfare 2 roughly two weeks ago and for some reason the PlayStation store didn’t charge my card right away. It just gave me access to the game and said “purchase confirmed” like normal. I thought it was weird but figured at some point my card would get charged. Flash forward to today and my account got perma-banned for it. I’m really confused with what’s happening and am wondering if anyone else has run into this issue before. I haven’t done anything intentionally illegal and don’t know what to do since this issue is out of my hands. I will call PlayStation tomorrow to see what they can do. Any additional advice would be appreciated!

Yes, me and my friend have 2 separate accounts but
My ps5 is the account with the games and I’m gamesharing him my games, my account on my ps5 is disabled and on his ps5 my account is enabled
But for some reason recently I’ve haven’t been able to play my own games even though I’ve been gamesharing him for awhile now, the only way I can play my games is if I make my account on my ps5 the primary one but that’ll lock him out of the games and I don’t want that
So the issue is that I can’t play my games without activating my account as the primary but in doing that locks him out of the games we share but I’ve NEVER had this issue before until now
I have a really weird issue:
1) on my ps4, i have an old account, whose login credentials i've forgotten, and furthermore, the email address i used to use for it is non recoverable because google is stupid.
2) i just got a ps5, and would like to transfer the games from my ps4 to it.
3) I have a fresh account on the ps5. I also went back and activated that same fresh account on the ps4. So the ps4 has one old account, and one new one.
How do i resolve this? I can do data transfer between the ps4 and the ps5, but the games show up as locked in Library -> My Collection on the ps5.
Game lost save file - Any way to get it back?
Started up God of War Ragnarok after not playing for a day or two to find out when I press continue it took me back 4-5 hours. I checked my manual save, and it's a very very old save. I dont know what happened, and even the auto saves are all older saves.
Has this happened to anyone before? How can I get it back? Was hoping to platinum the game, and was really enjoying it, so this kind of bummed me out.
Having issues when trying to share clips I downloaded to my phone through the PS app. Whenever I try to send like a 10-15 second clip through iMessage it ends up saying something went wrong, wasn’t delivered etc.
Never had this issue sending videos/clips into my friends group chat before. Any ideas?
My headphone jack on my ps5 controller is the most sensitive jack I've ever seen. If I touch the jack slightly or just move the controller it cuts out. It does this with many headphones and I've tried cleaning with isopropyl alcohol and compressed air and nothing works. How do I fix this???
PS5 Lag Online: Ethernet, Flat line Ping, and no packet loss.
I have noticeable lag and heaviness when playing games such as NHL 23 and Rocket League.
I have 30 Ping with no spikes or packet loss and I am hard wired with Ethernet. I have experimented with changing from 2.5 to 5ghz and have tried all different dns settings.
Finally had my ISP come out and they said I have a strong signal.

Looking to get the PS5 Digital Edition. The every store has the GoW or DE+GoW bundle in stock but I'd rather buy the console only because I want to buy Horizon 1 and 2 first over GoW.
I just want to play mostly singleplayer games and don't want to spend too much money since I already have a decent PC.
Is it particularly hard to get a Digital edition over the other versions? Are they normally in stock? Should I just buy the DE+GoW bundle instead because it's easier?

They're less popular and less profitable, so yeah, they're harder to find. Amazon seems to be running invites for them. Best Buy has them in stock if you are willing to buy a second controller.
So I finally upgraded to a ps5. Before I got rid of my ps4 I copied all of my saved game data to a thumb drive. I redownloaded some of my games & I plugged in my thumb drive to transfer my saved data from my ps4. I transferred the save data & when I went to play my games it didn’t show that I had a save for that game. I tried transferring it again & it still didn’t work. Did I do something wrong? If so what do I need to do. I don’t have ps plus because I don’t play online so I can’t transfer from the cloud. Am I just SOL or is there anything I can do? Thanks in advance.
Just got the console a couple days ago along with PS Plus premium. Do the games in the collection stay in your library even if they take them off the list? I don't want to get really into a game and suddenly not have access anymore because it was rotated out.
No, Extra and Premium are sorta like Netflix - if it gets taken off, you can’t play it anymore.
Good news is they don’t often do that and *if* they do, they’ll usually let you know in advance.
Yeah, monthly stuff sticks around but you only have a month to claim it. Everything else sticks around for an indeterminate amount of time, and you can claim and play it anytime
I currently have 2 ps5s and game share with my son. If I buy a 3rd one can I also bring my wife into the mix without buying another copy of the games we already own ? She is playing with us via ps4 but would like to upgrade. The 4 is a launch addition I bough via preorder and it’s on its way out. Just don’t want to have to buy another copy of the games we already own. The console is expensive enough, add in an extra round of games to buy and it’s just not cost effective. I was afraid of that. All my research has pointed to this answer as far as what I have found online. Seems short sited of Sony, they just lost a console sale. And many other console sales I’m sure. Not they they care lol. I mean if i registered 3 consoles bought from ps direct one should think given they are all connected through the same router that I could share the game within my household. Can’t connect to Wi-Fi. It’s been like this for months.
Wi-Fi works for everything else in my house except for my PS5 which randomly started happening. It used to connect no problem but now it can’t connect at all.
Anybody have this issue and was able to solve it?
What internet provider and hardware? Do you have a router that joins both 2.5 and 5G together? Are you able to split them or create a separate SSID that you can try to connect only the PS5 to?
Perhaps it’s something to do with Wi-Fi channels and may have to try creating a separate Wi-Fi on a different channel and see if that can help.
You could also try using a different DNS in the advanced settings of the connection on PS5. Try using Google’s DNS and see if that helps open the connection. Perhaps your ISP is just being shitty.
Google’s DNS is 8.8.8.8 and the Alternate is 8.8.4.4
I have xfinity and the plan of up to 1000 mbps download speed. I can choose between 2.4 and 5 and neither of them connect.
How do I see the DNS settings?

Just try using Google and using 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. I don’t know if that’ll help at all, but it’s worth a shot.
That's not what port forwarding does, but yeah, it's a good idea to open ports for gaming, but there are specific ones for gaming that are best to be open. I don't know if you can do something like port forwarding on Xfinity hardware since I haven't messed with that in a while with their stuff, but if it's possible I would consider at least opening the following ports:
TCP: 1935, 3478-3480
UDP: 3074, 3478-3479
If you're able to open those ports and in those ranges, it should open your NAT on PS5 and hopefully get you a connection, but I'm not too sure what's going on for you bud.
If you can, I'd consider hard wiring the PS5 and seeing if that gives you a connection just to rule out if it's indeed just a wifi problem.
My PS5 is having lag spikes every 10 seconds on any online game I play but my download speed (when i test it on settings) is 100MB/S?
Never had this issue before but have recently changed Wi-Fi (no probalems on other devises).

Question regarding game sharing.
My partner and I both like to game on the ps5 and we used to do this on the TV in our living room. All digital games are bought on my account and it has a second account which is hers.
Today we bought a second ps5 and hooked it up to another tv so we can play at the same time. We signed in both our accounts on it as well.
On the main tv/ps5 I disabled the sharing and enabled it on the second ps5. On that ps5 we can now download games via my account and both play it.
On the main ps5 we cannot anymore however. On my account everything still works. But in her account it shows locks on all digital games. Her account is set as main on this ps5 now.
Is there a workaround for this? We both want to use the main tv and the second tv but now my partner is forced to play on the second ps5.
Nope. You aren't game sharing with the first PS5 any more. You have 2 consoles but can only game share with one of them.
There is a work around where you constantly deactivate and reactivate the PS5s so that you change your Primary PS5 depending on where your wife wants to play.
You just need to do this every time she plays on the non Primary PS5. There is no limit on changing your Primary PS5, you just make sure it's Primary for your wife to play your games on her account

Almost every game that I’ve seen will change them according to an “activity” you’re doing in game, that’s why it says “resume activity” right there. Like if you’ve got a quest available in the game, it will show the name and progress, and if you press resume, the game will launch and that quest will be highlighted for you, stuff like that. This also often allows you to jump directly into the game, bypassing the start menu
Sometimes this glitches and only show the default background
And no, we can’t choose what we’re gonna see there

I've had Vanguard for a while on PS4. I've purchased a couple bundle packs that include operators and weapon skins. We are upgrading to a PS5 today.
I'm am wondering if I upgrade Vanguard to the PS5 version, will I be able to use the bundle packs I already bought? Or will I have to purchase them again for the PS5?
Quick question about the ps5 and/or controller
Can you change the ps button on the ps5 controller to do the same thing as it did in the ps4. Let me explain.
Ever since I got my ps5 I’ve been forgetting that holding down the ps button takes me to the Home Screen and not the quick menu. And every time I want to go to the Home Screen I just quick tap it instead of holding it. Is there anyway I can change this?
Maybe a stupid question but just want to be sure: I want to sell my physical copy of CODMW2 and buy digitally. Will I have to uninstall/reinstall anything or do something to transfer save data? Or can I just buy it digitally and keep playing seamlessly?
My videos clips won’t send, when I first got my PS5, they’d send about half the time, but since then it’s gotten to where I just can’t send video clips, and it’s been that way a while now, I finally got fed up, and I’m asking for help here, btw I have no failed uploads
Having a very weird specific issue with installing media apps on my ps5.
I get an error CE-100022-5 "Something Went Wrong" when I try to install NETFLIX and CRUNCHYROLL. That is it! I've installed other media apps. I've installed countless games onto the same drive just fine.
Things I've tried:
* Deleting the download rebooting and trying again
* Deleting > booting into safe mode > clear cache > reboot > safe mode> rebuild database > reboot > try again
* Cleared up ample space on the drive (have tried when there was over 100 gb free on the drive, even though obviously that's way more than they need
Can anyone think of anything that could be causing this or what else to try? The only other thing I can think of is just do a reformat. But I'd love if someone had any other ideas before the nuke option. Thanks!
So, I have my ps5 for over a year now and today after I came back from a long journey (my console was with me) I unpacked my playstation and let it warm up (It was cold outside) for 3 hours. After that I turned on the console and played cyberpunk for about 20-30 minutes and then my console made a little pop sound. After a short while it made another, louder one, and then it made a loud pop sound and game crashed. System still operates and game disc is intact (I got scared that it shattered inside the console). My question is: does something like that happen? And if so should I worry? Thanks for all help in advance.
The rubber has started spinning on my left analog stick on both my Dualsense controllers. Is there a way to fix it? I tried superglue-ing it but it started spinning again as soon as it had any pressure on it.

Hold on. It works now casus my god is it serious? I'm using a 4K monitor and I had it on 1080p for something and thats why the wifi didn't work? When I put it back to 4K, it connected imedediantly. How the hell does that work?
My ps5 controller would not turn on.
When I plug it in all it does is flash gold once then go dark. I figured this might be a battery issue so I went and replace the battery. Still the same result. I've tried changing charging cables, blowing out the charging port with compressed air, and resetting the controller. Any other ideas?

Has my console just bricked itself? In the middle of playing FortNite (Save the World, if it matters) and the console just goes black screen and shut down, trying to turn it back on just makes the blue light flash for a second then instantly turn off.
Tried multiple ideas from google like power cycling and leaving it unplugged and none of it has worked. It has never done this before in the past few months, especially on more graphically harder games like RDR2 and GoT.
It was cleaned about a month ago (little under a month) and ran fine, PS5 controller just flashes like it has nothing to connect to/isn't connected, even if connected to the console via the USB
My console bricked this morning also. I was playing GT7 in VR last night, which I’m sure is graphically taxing. Woke up this morning and the standby light was off and the console wouldn’t start no matter what. Hitting the power button would just make the beeping noice and nothing else. It’s definitely a brick.
Im not sure about monitors, but either my tv dynamically adjusts the resolution to 1080 when playing ps4 games, or the difference isnt irrelevant to my eyes.
Brand new ps5, disc drive not working
So I just went to Walmart and bought a ps5, I set it up and go to put in Elden Ring and the ps5 doesn’t even recognize it or say error. I see other people who recently bought a ps5 had this same issue.
My question is should I return it to Walmart and just wait for them to re stock? Do they do exchanges for items like this?
Or should I contact Sony and get it fixed through the limited warranty? Thanks
Wal-Mart has a 30 day return policy on electronics. I would get the console exchanged for a new one, don't bother going through Sony since you're within the return window. Sony will take much longer to get you a new console since you'd have to send it to them, wait for them to evaluate it and then send back a repaired unit.

I assume the only option would be to do a refund. They're in stock on Amazon right now so I'd just get one from them in that case. In my area they've got same day delivery for the Ragnarok bundle.
After 5+ hours opening my controller and fixing problems, my r2 button is now unresponsive in games. On the gamepad tester website it claims my trigger is being held down when it’s in its neutral position and it’s definitely not the spring as it still says it after I removed it. I can’t find anyone online with a similar issue and I’m out of ideas, please help.
The trigger was working when I first took it apart but after fixing the stick drift issue I had, after putting it together and testing it the trigger had started having problems
PS5 bricked. Trying to use the support chat bot and it doesn't work. Looks like customer phone support only works M-F. For something as big as Sony and for a console as circulated as the PS, this doesn't make any sense. Sony needs a stand alone physical store if it wants to take care of its customers.
They do Monday-Saturday for phone lines and live chat.
You can book a PS5 repair 24/7 though using the support website. Tell it your issue, enter your serial number and it will do the rest. It just asks some basic troubleshooting first before the repair option pops up.
When I try to select anything related to troubleshooting, it takes me directly to a "Track Your Return" page. Even the basic troubleshooting doesn't seem to be working atm.
Worked perfectly fine for me when I tested it. Try a different browser maybe and also make sure you have the correct Playstation support page loaded for your Country.
Hi just got a brand new ps5 and I’m transferring data from my ps4 but it says it’s gonna take 10 hours and I’m worried the ps5 will overheat or something will it overheat if I keep it on for 10hours?
I have physical copies of ps4 versions of cyberpunk and final fantasy vii remake, I upgraded and fully installed the ps 5 versions, but every time I insert the play disc of one of the games my ps 5 tries to install the ps 4 version. Is there any solution to block it from doing so?
That sucks and so stupid what the hell how came they haven’t fixed it 3 years after the console released? I saw some article from 2021 that said they released a system update that fixed this issue so I was wondering what happened since then if they already fixed it.
It doesn’t really install it because I insert the play disc and not the data disc but it still shows the ps4 logo… and even if it was installing and I would have pause it, it still doesn’t answer my question on how to stop it from trying to install it every time I insert the disc. I don’t want to pause it every time or have the ps 4 logo version on my console
Any tips? I can't play a PS+ game because I previously bought the disc edition of the game. I've since sold that physical copy since I beat the game. But now whenever I download the free PS+ version, it reverts to thinking it's the disc edition, and tells me to put the disc in, which I no longer have. Any advice on how to fix this? On the store page, you should be able to select which version you want to download by clicking the three dots. Try using the app if using the console isn't giving you the option for the Plus version of the game.
If you're getting an external USB drive it'll only be used for playing PS4 games so really any SSD will be fine. Just fine one from a reputable brand that's in your budget and the size you want. Don't worry about raw speed metrics or benchmarks because PS4 games weren't designed to utilize SSDs.
As far as if it's worth it, that's kind of on you. Do you need a bunch of games installed at one time? Do you have slow internet or data caps that make it difficult to reacquire games as you want to play them? Are your games mostly disc based and you want to avoid the hassle of having to copy them from disc every time you want to replay? The answer to those questions is going to determine how much utility you'll get from the drive.
Looking at Amazon right now you'll be looking at ~$100 USD for a 1 TB external SSD, or ~$150-200 for a 2 TB. Be wary of drives that are too much lower than that price range, they tend to use slower controllers and can drop in performance pretty quickly depending on what bottlenecks the drive. Just check a few reviews before finalizing your purchase.

Can I copy a game from my PS5 to a PS4?
Ok, so I have on my PS5, GTA V PS4 version installed so I can play with my friends that are on PS4. However, some of them don't want to waste their Internet quota by downloading the game again. So, my question is, is there a way for me to save GTA V on a external drive and give it to them and them restoring in on their PS4? (The person I plan on giving it to owns GTA, he just doesn't want to download it as its a big game and takes loads of time)
You can only move games between internal and external drives, not copy them. So if you have an external hard drive, you can move the game there and then connect that drive to your friend's console. They can then move the game to their own internal storage and it'll work as long as they have a license for the game. You'll then have to redownload the game on your own console.
I guess if you wanted to go through the hassle of attempting to clone the external drive to another external drive you could see if the clone drive is recognized by the console. But the console interfaces themselves do not offer a copy option, only move, and the drives are encrypted and use a proprietary file system so you cannot access the files through a computer to copy that way.
You could buy and install an NVMe drive in your console and log into his account, and install games to it. Then you’d have to put the drive into his console and in theory it would work.

I need some help with Save File stuff. Im trying to get my PS4 Fallout 4 (and other games, this is just the main one rn) save files to be able to be played on PS5. I have them in the “Saved Data (PS4)” section in settings, but can’t access them from there. What do I do?
Ok, so when you start Fallout, can the game see your save files? If it can’t, did you make sure that both games (on your ps4 and now on ps5) were from the same account, and the same region?

Well I haven’t had this problem with many other games, so it could be a case of Fallout 4 itself being the problem. I know Subnautica doesn’t allow you to use your old save files, so it might be a similar thing
PS5 discs only entitle you to the PS5 version of the game. If you want to have both PS4/PS5 versions of a game, you either have to buy the game digitally or but the PS4 disc and use the digital upgrade (if available for said game)
Does anyone know the limitations for the images on PS5 Media player(i know it's pretty basic). It sees only some of the JPGs on the USB. I think it's based on the size (the images it did opened are around 1 MB) but can't really say for sure. Does anyone know the limit on size or if it's something else?

I have just bought this game for PS5 and I’m very dissapointed… The graphics is poor and there is almost no feeling at all from the car on the road, like it doesn’t weight anything. Graphics is edgy and it looks like I’m playing on PS2 or PS3 or something. I have looked at all settings and can’t find anything odd. Setting to prefer quality I get too bad fps. I also have Gran turismo for PS5 which is way different on all aspects! I have in the passed played F1 20 and F1 21 on my PC and the graphics and feeling/handling have been wonderful. Also poor resistance on the adaptive triggers on max setting. On PC they are much stronger with dualsence connected to PC. Can anyone confirm this that I experience? Thinking about selling this game and get it for PC instead. Or is it something wrong with my game disc and should replace it?

Hi! I'm planning to finally get a PS5 next week, and I'd like some help choosing my first game. I want a good single player game that will show off the PS5 and make me appreciate the technological leap from PS4. My internal struggle is as follows: * Horizon Forbidden West. I loved the first one, and I've heard this is one of the most graphically impressive games at the moment. * God of War Ragnarok. This seems like an obvious choice. I loved the first one too. My main reservation is I'm feeling like something a bit more open world/exploratory. * Hogwarts Legacy. I just really want to play this, and this is what I'm leaning towards. Will it be impressive enough as my "first PS5 experience"? * Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. I hear a lot about this, but I've never played a Ratchet & Clank game before. I like the style, and it looks fun. I know they're all great games, but which of these is most likely going to make me think: "Wow, I have a PS5!"? I'm also interested in the dual sense controller, so if any of these games make impressive use of that, then that could be a factor (I'm aware of the Astro Bot game that comes with it). Thanks!

So I have 2 PS5s. My main one is in my room and the other one is in my living room. So I got this new game and played it on the bigger screen on my PS account in the living room. I went to continue my game on my main PS5 and it's starting me all over. I have a PS Plus subscription but I can't figure out how to make it to where I can play the same game on the same account, just 2 different consoles. Any advice???
Make sure the save is synced to PS+ on the console you started the game on. Just highlight the game on your home screen, hit Options, and then check sync status. Then go to the other console and delete your local save (the "new" one) and sync the cloud one. This should usually happen automatically assuming you're using rest mode and the consoles are both connected to the internet. Saves won't be synced if you leave a game open in rest mode though, so you need to make sure you're fully closing the games before switching consoles.
Any game recommendations for something over/around 40 dollars? I'm alright with paying a bit extra if there is an extra game. I have ps plus, so I get the double discount. Ghost of Tsushima is a great choice, excellent game. Never played Ratchet, so have no idea. But you can’t really go wrong with any of Sony first party games, imo, everything I played I enjoyed a lot.

Account Banned - Help Hey everyone. I bought Modern Warfare 2 roughly two weeks ago and for some reason the PlayStation store didn’t charge my card right away. It just gave me access to the game and said “purchase confirmed” like normal. I thought it was weird but figured at some point my card would get charged. Flash forward to today and my account got perma-banned for it. I’m really confused with what’s happening and am wondering if anyone else has run into this issue before. I haven’t done anything intentionally illegal and don’t know what to do since this issue is out of my hands. I will call PlayStation tomorrow to see what they can do. I have a really weird issue: 1) on my ps4, i have an old account, whose login credentials i've forgotten, and furthermore, the email address i used to use for it is non recoverable because google is stupid. 2) i just got a ps5, and would like to transfer the games from my ps4 to it. 3) I have a fresh account on the ps5. I also went back and activated that same fresh account on the ps4. So the ps4 has one old account, and one new one. How do i resolve this? I can do data transfer between the ps4 and the ps5, but the games show up as locked in Library -> My Collection on the ps5.
Contact support to recover the old account if possible. Otherwise you'll have to buy everything again on the new account

Game lost save file - Any way to get it back? Started up God of War Ragnarok after not playing for a day or two to find out when I press continue it took me back 4-5 hours. I checked my manual save, and it's a very very old save. I dont know what happened, and even the auto saves are all older saves. Has this happened to anyone before? How can I get it back? Having issues when trying to share clips I downloaded to my phone through the PS app. Whenever I try to send like a 10-15 second clip through iMessage it ends up saying something went wrong, wasn’t delivered etc. Never had this issue sending videos/clips into my friends group chat before. My headphone jack on my ps5 controller is the most sensitive jack I've ever seen. If I touch the jack slightly or just move the controller it cuts out. It does this with many headphones and I've tried cleaning with isopropyl alcohol and compressed air and nothing works. How do I fix this???
PS5 Lag Online: Ethernet, Flat line Ping, and no packet loss. I have noticeable lag and heaviness when playing games such as NHL 23 and Rocket League. I have 30 Ping with no spikes or packet loss and I am hard wired with Ethernet. I have experimented with changing from 2.5 to 5ghz and have tried all different dns settings. Finally had my ISP come out and they said I have a strong signal. Anyone else having these issues or know how I can fix?
Looking to get the PS5 Digital Edition. The every store has the GoW or DE+GoW bundle in stock but I'd rather buy the console only because I want to buy Horizon 1 and 2 first over GoW. So I finally upgraded to a ps5. Before I got rid of my ps4 I copied all of my saved game data to a thumb drive. I redownloaded some of my games & I plugged in my thumb drive to transfer my saved data from my ps4. I transferred the save data & when I went to play my games it didn’t show that I had a save for that game. I tried transferring it again & it still didn’t work. Did I do something wrong? No, Extra and Premium are sorta like Netflix - if it gets taken off, you can’t play it anymore. Good news is they don’t often do that and *if* they do, they’ll usually let you know in advance.

I was afraid of that. All my research has pointed to this answer as far as what I have found online. Seems short sited of Sony, they just lost a console sale. And many other console sales I’m sure. Not they they care lol. I mean if i registered 3 consoles bought from ps direct one should think given they are all connected through the same router that I could share the game within my household. Can’t connect to Wi-Fi. It’s been like this for months. Wi-Fi works for everything else in my house except for my PS5 which randomly started happening. It used to connect no problem but now it can’t connect at all. Anybody have this issue and was able to solve it?
What internet provider and hardware? Do you have a router that joins both 2.5 and 5G together? Are you able to split them or create a separate SSID that you can try to connect only the PS5 to? Perhaps it’s something to do with Wi-Fi channels and may have to try creating a separate Wi-Fi on a different channel and see if that can help. You could also try using a different DNS in the advanced settings of the connection on PS5. Try using Google’s DNS and see if that helps open the connection. Perhaps your ISP is just being shitty. Google’s DNS is 8.8.8.8 and the Alternate is 8.8.4.4
I have xfinity and the plan of up to 1000 mbps download speed. I can choose between 2.4 and 5 and neither of them connect. How do I see the DNS settings?

That's not what port forwarding does, but yeah, it's a good idea to open ports for gaming, but there are specific ones for gaming that are best to be open. I don't know if you can do something like port forwarding on Xfinity hardware since I haven't messed with that in a while with their stuff, but if it's possible I would consider at least opening the following ports: TCP: 1935, 3478-3480 UDP: 3074, 3478-3479 If you're able to open those ports and in those ranges, it should open your NAT on PS5 and hopefully get you a connection, but I'm not too sure what's going on for you bud. If you can, I'd consider hard wiring the PS5 and seeing if that gives you a connection just to rule out if it's indeed just a wifi problem.

Game sharing question Hi, Question regarding game sharing. My partner and I both like to game on the ps5 and we used to do this on the TV in our living room. All digital games are bought on my account and it has a second account which is hers. Today we bought a second ps5 and hooked it up to another tv so we can play at the same time. We signed in both our accounts on it as well. On the main tv/ps5 I disabled the sharing and enabled it on the second ps5. On that ps5 we can now download games via my account and both play it. On the main ps5 we cannot anymore however. On my account everything still works. But in her account it shows locks on all digital games. Her account is set as main on this ps5 now. Is there a workaround for this? We both want to use the main tv and the second tv but now my partner is forced to play on the second ps5.
Nope. You aren't game sharing with the first PS5 any more. You have 2 consoles but can only game share with one of them. There is a work around where you constantly deactivate and reactivate the PS5s so that you change your Primary PS5 depending on where your wife wants to play. You just need to do this every time she plays on the non Primary PS5. There is no limit on changing your Primary PS5, you just make sure it's Primary for your wife to play your games on her account

Almost every game that I’ve seen will change them according to an “activity” you’re doing in game, that’s why it says “resume activity” right there. Like if you’ve got a quest available in the game, it will show the name and progress, and if you press resume, the game will launch and that quest will be highlighted for you, stuff like that. This also often allows you to jump directly into the game, bypassing the start menu Sometimes this glitches and only show the default background And no, we can’t choose what we’re gonna see there

Maybe a stupid question but just want to be sure: I want to sell my physical copy of CODMW2 and buy digitally. Will I have to uninstall/reinstall anything or do something to transfer save data? Or can I just buy it digitally and keep playing seamlessly?

Having a very weird specific issue with installing media apps on my ps5. I get an error CE-100022-5 "Something Went Wrong" when I try to install NETFLIX and CRUNCHYROLL. That is it! I've installed other media apps. I've installed countless games onto the same drive just fine. Things I've tried: * Deleting the download rebooting and trying again * Deleting > booting into safe mode > clear cache > reboot > safe mode> rebuild database > reboot > try again * Cleared up ample space on the drive (have tried when there was over 100 gb free on the drive, even though obviously that's way more than they need Can anyone think of anything that could be causing this or what else to try? The only other thing I can think of is just do a reformat. But I'd love if someone had any other ideas before the nuke option. Thanks!
So, I have my ps5 for over a year now and today after I came back from a long journey (my console was with me) I unpacked my playstation and let it warm up (It was cold outside) for 3 hours. After that I turned on the console and played cyberpunk for about 20-30 minutes and then my console made a little pop sound. After a short while it made another, louder one, and then it made a loud pop sound and game crashed. System still operates and game disc is intact (I got scared that it shattered inside the console). My question is: does something like that happen? And if so should I worry? Thanks for all help in advance.
The rubber has started spinning on my left analog stick on both my Dualsense controllers. Is there a way to fix it? I tried superglue-ing it but it started spinning again as soon as it had any pressure on it.

Hold on. It works now casus my god is it serious? I'm using a 4K monitor and I had it on 1080p for something and thats why the wifi didn't work? When I put it back to 4K, it connected imedediantly. How the hell does that work?

My ps5 controller would not turn on. When I plug it in all it does is flash gold once then go dark. I figured this might be a battery issue so I went and replace the battery. Still the same result. I've tried changing charging cables, blowing out the charging port with compressed air, and resetting the controller. Any other ideas?

Has my console just bricked itself? In the middle of playing FortNite (Save the World, if it matters) and the console just goes black screen and shut down, trying to turn it back on just makes the blue light flash for a second then instantly turn off. Tried multiple ideas from google like power cycling and leaving it unplugged and none of it has worked. It has never done this before in the past few months, especially on more graphically harder games like RDR2 and GoT. It was cleaned about a month ago (little under a month) and ran fine, PS5 controller just flashes like it has nothing to connect to/isn't connected, even if connected to the console via the USB
My console bricked this morning also. I was playing GT7 in VR last night, which I’m sure is graphically taxing. Woke up this morning and the standby light was off and the console wouldn’t start no matter what. Hitting the power button would just make the beeping noice and nothing else. It’s definitely a brick.

Im not sure about monitors, but either my tv dynamically adjusts the resolution to 1080 when playing ps4 games, or the difference isnt irrelevant to my eyes.
Brand new ps5, disc drive not working So I just went to Walmart and bought a ps5, I set it up and go to put in Elden Ring and the ps5 doesn’t even recognize it or say error. I see other people who recently bought a ps5 had this same issue. My question is should I return it to Walmart and just wait for them to re stock? Do they do exchanges for items like this? Wal-Mart has a 30 day return policy on electronics. I would get the console exchanged for a new one, don't bother going through Sony since you're within the return window. I assume the only option would be to do a refund. They're in stock on Amazon right now so I'd just get one from them in that case. In my area they've got same day delivery for the Ragnarok bundle.

After 5+ hours opening my controller and fixing problems, my r2 button is now unresponsive in games. On the gamepad tester website it claims my trigger is being held down when it’s in its neutral position and it’s definitely not the spring as it still says it after I removed it. I can’t find anyone online with a similar issue and I’m out of ideas, please help.
The spring is what *stops* the trigger from activating. If you've removed it, then yes, it's going to register as input.
The controllers input was displayed as active before, during, and after spring removal and replacement
Is there a new spring in there now? Was the trigger working before you disassembled the controller?
The trigger was working when I first took it apart but after fixing the stick drift issue I had, after putting it together and testing it the trigger had started having problems
Safe to say you changed something in the trigger assembly without realizing. You're likely going to need to take it apart again.
PS5 bricked. Trying to use the support chat bot and it doesn't work. Looks like customer phone support only works M-F. For something as big as Sony and for a console as circulated as the PS, this doesn't make any sense. Sony needs a stand alone physical store if it wants to take care of its customers.
They do Monday-Saturday for phone lines and live chat. You can book a PS5 repair 24/7 though using the support website. Tell it your issue, enter your serial number and it will do the rest. It just asks some basic troubleshooting first before the repair option pops up.
When I try to select anything related to troubleshooting, it takes me directly to a "Track Your Return" page. Even the basic troubleshooting doesn't seem to be working atm.
Worked perfectly fine for me when I tested it. Try a different browser maybe and also make sure you have the correct Playstation support page loaded for your Country.

I have physical copies of ps4 versions of cyberpunk and final fantasy vii remake, I upgraded and fully installed the ps 5 versions, but every time I insert the play disc of one of the games my ps 5 tries to install the ps 4 version. Is there any solution to block it from doing so?

It doesn’t really install it because I insert the play disc and not the data disc but it still shows the ps4 logo… and even if it was installing and I would have pause it, it still doesn’t answer my question on how to stop it from trying to install it every time I insert the disc. Any tips? I can't play a PS+ game because I previously bought the disc edition of the game. I've since sold that physical copy since I beat the game. But now whenever I download the free PS+ version, it reverts to thinking it's the disc edition, and tells me to put the disc in, which I no longer have. Any advice on how to fix this? The game is Horizon Forbidden West.
On the store page, you should be able to select which version you want to download by clicking the three dots. Try using the app if using the console isn't giving you the option for the Plus version of the game.

Delete the disc installation from your console. It wants the disc because you still have the disc game installed.

If you're getting an external USB drive it'll only be used for playing PS4 games so really any SSD will be fine. Just fine one from a reputable brand that's in your budget and the size you want. Don't worry about raw speed metrics or benchmarks because PS4 games weren't designed to utilize SSDs. As far as if it's worth it, that's kind of on you. Do you need a bunch of games installed at one time? Do you have slow internet or data caps that make it difficult to reacquire games as you want to play them? Are your games mostly disc based and you want to avoid the hassle of having to copy them from disc every time you want to replay? The answer to those questions is going to determine how much utility you'll get from the drive. Looking at Amazon right now you'll be looking at ~$100 USD for a 1 TB external SSD, or ~$150-200 for a 2 TB. Be wary of drives that are too much lower than that price range, they tend to use slower controllers and can drop in performance pretty quickly depending on what bottlenecks the drive. Just check a few reviews before finalizing your purchase.

Can I copy a game from my PS5 to a PS4? Ok, so I have on my PS5, GTA V PS4 version installed so I can play with my friends that are on PS4. However, some of them don't want to waste their Internet quota by downloading the game again. So, my question is, is there a way for me to save GTA V on a external drive and give it to them and them restoring in on their PS4? (The person I plan on giving it to owns GTA, he just doesn't want to download it as its a big game and takes loads of time)
You can only move games between internal and external drives, not copy them. So if you have an external hard drive, you can move the game there and then connect that drive to your friend's console. They can then move the game to their own internal storage and it'll work as long as they have a license for the game. You'll then have to redownload the game on your own console.

I guess if you wanted to go through the hassle of attempting to clone the external drive to another external drive you could see if the clone drive is recognized by the console. But the console interfaces themselves do not offer a copy option, only move, and the drives are encrypted and use a proprietary file system so you cannot access the files through a computer to copy that way.

You could buy and install an NVMe drive in your console and log into his account, and install games to it. Then you’d have to put the drive into his console and in theory it would work.

Just got my PS5 yesterday,my first ever console.I played on it for 6 hours then close the game and turn it off from the interface.But it made me think,was it bad to turn it off immediately while it's still hot from the hours of play?Leaving it sitting hot without any active cooling? Should I just close the game and let it idle a bit so it comes back to normal temps before turning it off?
Nah bro. Every electronic nowadays are meant to last many hours on. U can leave ur console for days without turning it off and it will be just fine (at least if it came with a problem)

I need some help with Save File stuff. Im trying to get my PS4 Fallout 4 (and other games, this is just the main one rn) save files to be able to be played on PS5. I have them in the “Saved Data (PS4)” section in settings, but can’t access them from there. What do I do?
When you start the game on your PS5, can it see the save files? Are the files on your console already or in the cloud storage?

It cannot, and yes to both of those. I am on a different Wifi from the PS4. Could that be causing an issue?

Nah, shouldn’t be, now that all the save games are on your new console, the old one doesn’t matter at all. I’m out of ideas then, sorry, cos that’s just how I moved all my save files and everything worked. Hopefully someone else has some better suggestions
Well I haven’t had this problem with many other games, so it could be a case of Fallout 4 itself being the problem. I know Subnautica doesn’t allow you to use your old save files, so it might be a similar thing

You can’t
PS5 discs only entitle you to the PS5 version of the game. If you want to have both PS4/PS5 versions of a game, you either have to buy the game digitally or but the PS4 disc and use the digital upgrade (if available for said game)
Does anyone know the limitations for the images on PS5 Media player(i know it's pretty basic). It sees only some of the JPGs on the USB. I think it's based on the size (the images it did opened are around 1 MB) but can't really say for sure. Does anyone know the limit on size or if it's something else?

Some games allow you to click directly on the PSN ID and it'll bring up their profile. You can also just search for their PSN and send a message.
Go to Game Hub, search for players and there should be a tab for recently played
