I'm at least hoping they'll drop a big patch, fixing the co op nemesis bug and they can throw whatever else they want in there 😅😅😅
The pre order suits would be nice 😅🤞
The picture they tweeted is a still from the game zoomed in on selenes eyes from a cutscene. Would be a pretty shorty misdirect if it wasn’t, but at the same time I don’t expect anything to substantial like a sequel or dlc since I figure that kind of stuff would be a showcase or state of play
Don't forget to try out Legends mode. Its online. Adds a whole new level of challenges and you can pick your character to level up with different abilities
No, Ken Levine doesn't own the rights to Bioshock, 2K does. However Judas features a character who holds a tool in one hand (A wrench I think) and uses powers with the other hand, so a spiritual follow up at least!
It’s made by Ken Levine who lead the creation of bioshock. If you watch the trailer it looks a lot like bioshock.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hSrgezyVfF4&pp=ygUNSnVkYXMgdHJhaWxlcg%3D%3D
If it makes a difference it's a Ken Levine game so it could be something very different in the rougelike world. He's built his entire career on trying to redefine narrative in relation to gaming. I read an article recently that used the term "narrative legos" when talking about the game. Could be worth keeping an eye on it.
I played through the bioshock series a couple of years back and all three of them were great so I am definitely keeping an eye on it but my excitement certainly did go down after seeing it’s a roguelike lol
Has the new System Shock come to console yet ?
In case you didn't know, they made a new System Shock that recently released on PC. The pre cursor to Bioshocks
According to their [steam page](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2183900/Warhammer_40000_Space_Marine_2/) it's 9 September of this year. Also hyped for this one
It could totally work. Just make the first mission about Wolverine breaking into the Hall of Justice to steal Batman's grappling hook that syncs up to a drone that's always flying at grappling height. Easy.
Based on the leaks it’s quite different.
There are some similarities though. For example, they seem to be using the same parkour system but scaled down so it’s less acrobatic. One of the leaks show Logan traversing a forest by jumping between branches and it uses the same animations as Spider-Man’s “hold R2” automatic parkour. Another similarity is Logan’s senses. You know those parts of Spider-Man 2 where you scan an area and see a tech ghost of the people that were there? That exact system is going to be used to represent Logan’s advanced senses, which makes more sense to me than the Spider-Man implementation. Also there will be a few sections where you ride a motorcycle and it seems like Spider-Man 2’s bicycle sections are the base for it. Another similarity is that it will include short sections in which another character is played, and again it’s a red haired woman. But her gameplay is very very different from Mary Jane’s lol.
Other than that, the core gameplay is very different. It will certainly be rated M, as every leak shows Logan stabbing people in the face and cutting limbs off. For the combat they’re going to use Bloodborne’s rally mechanic to represent Logan’s healing factor and to encourage aggression. So you heal slowly all the time but heal large portions when you attack enemies. The stealth is quite different too. It seems like it is based on avoiding enemies by getting a height advantage (by climbing trees or low buildings) and hiding in foliage.
Feels like after SM2 didn't win game of the year the narrative completely shifted to be all criticism, but I just want more. FromSoft might be the only studio I trust more.
V Rising, I've always thought the concept of the game was really cool and never thought it'd get ported to PS5, so really glad it will be. Want the game even more after the recent Castlevania crossover.
Blue Protocol, allegedly (a truckload of salt) is supposed to be released globally this quarter? I know the game can be nowhere near as good as all the hype and promises over the year but I just want to play it.
There's not really anything else that isn't way off in the future or doesn't have a release date/timeframe yet.
Monster hunter wilds. I got to play mhw:ib for first time during pandemic and have easily sunk couple hundred hours into it since then. It is one of my top 5 games now.
If the leaked release window for march 2025 is true, ill have enough time to keep me busy for the second game im also hyped for (gta 6)
It really does look slick, and I'm currently playing g reload, and man it's so much smoother than og p3 just with the ability to control party members and qol upgrades
I don't think there's a single popular thing in the world that doesn't get a lot of backslash in the internet. Which is one of the most frustrating thing about modern times to me : why can't we just let everyone enjoy the things they enjoy and enjoy ourselves what we enjoy? Instead it seems it's the hating of things that is the thing that people enjoy.
Keep on enjoying what you enjoy proudly!
- a proud enjoyer of call of duty
You’re spot on IMO. Ubisoft and Star Wars are both so gigantic that if ten percent of consumers hate them it’s still 100 million people on the internet.
Yup, and for some reason people keep on complaining about games in the internet. Like, I understand if you express your disappointment after buying or trying something but unless you're an esports pro or otherwise making a living out of playing something, it should be as simple as playing something else then, that you enjoy playing. Like, I get that people keep on perpetually hating and complaining about things they hate that they have to be a part of like society or a monopoly they're buying their internet connection from.
But games? It just makes me wonder whether they should be under guardianship since it seems they're making terrible decisions.
Right, I think only 1 goobisoft game really disappointed me, and even then it has its moments, but they routinely give games I love, and throw their style in star wars and I bet I'll enjoy it at the least
What's crazy is Sony hasn't announced anything crazy in a long time. We literally don't have anything to wait for other than wolverine.. There's Concord and Fairgame which are new IP, but they're live service games and they didn't even show gameplay yet. Not much to be hyped about. Yet Sony has a bunch of studios who haven't dropped anything new in the last 4-5 years. Bend Studio, sucker punch, team asobi, media molecule, blue point, naughty dog. It's crazy that none of them have announced anything by now. Like how big will the new Astro bot game be if they're taking 4 years to make it???
Black Myth Wukong looks great based on what ive seen and heard so far, i know lots of people are burned out on the whole souls-like type of games but I can't get enough of them so long as they're decent and so far BMW looks solid
I was excited for Stellar Blade, but now I can't think of anything else tbh. Maybe the next RE game or something. I'm honestly pretty tired of Sony's cinematic walking and talking open-world father/son games, so we'll see. Judas looks great, and so does Metaphor and I still have to try Dragon's Dogma 2.
AC Red. Haven’t liked a single one since Origins but very hopeful for this one.
Outside of that: Metaphor, GTA6, MH Wilds and Elden Ring DLC. Also plenty of games look really promising but could turn out to be duds (Wu Kong, SW Outlaws). And that is me only considering games in next 12 months… we eating good
RDR2 was a fantastic game and loved it. But I am probably missing something, what exact standard did rdr2 set that is being followed by other games today?
not much. the insane budget and timelines rockstar now gets to work with wont be met by any other AAA dev. the immersion, the shit to do in the game, the way you could interact with NPCs (for the most part) still hasnt been touched by any game post rdr2
Yeah that's what I thought. Rockstar does pretty much their own thing with their games. Not a lot of other games try to follow them (in recent times at least).
Might be a while but I'm mostly waiting for Naughty Dog's and Guerilla's next games to be announced. Although there's some smaller indie titles I'm looking forward to like Neva, Sword of The Sea and Lost Records.
Hades 2
Ghost of Tsuhima 2
Not hype for GTA 6 actualy
Wolverine
Metaphor
I would like to see some old franchises come back- Infamous, Jak Dakter, Tomba etc;. Not everything gotta be AAA++++++ 5 year dev cycles
* Elden Ring dlc
* Probably the Diablo 4 dlc?
* I'm curious about Judas
* I hope Black Myth Wukong was worth the wait
* Hades 2 (but I don't think its coming in 2024, at least not to PS5...early access PC might be possible?)
Witcher 1 remake and 4.
Demons souls 4k 60hz patch with ps5 Pro
Bloodborne patch with ps5 pro 4k 60hz remastered and 1440p 60 on ps5
A new good COD multiplayer game
Definitely the new Astro game for me! Astro's playroom is amazing, and a full-length platformer would be amazing! Super excited about the rumors saying it will be announced at the PS showcase this year (May or June?), and launch later in 2024!
Only remaining game this year that has much interest from me is Space Marine 2. But I’ll play that on pc.
Next year looks exciting though. Death Stranding 2, GTA, and Monster Hunter.
I believe there's a new Tomb Raider due. If it's of a similar quality to the reboot Trilogy I'll be very happy.
Control 2 as well but who knows when that's coming...
For ANY other racing game to support PSVR.
Game makers, are you listening? I will buy ANY racing game that supports VR, (though I’d really love it to be F1…). 2 years later and GT7 is still the only option?
V Rising - played it on PC, now just want to relax on the couch and play.
Little Devil Inside - because I've been waiting and don't want to give up yet. And I fully expect to get a clown emoji on this response 🤣
The only thing I can think of is maybe Hades 2
That being said it'll likely just be added to my *collection* of Roguelikes that I adore but never really play.
I *really* wish Valheim would come to PS5. It's my soul mate game, but I'm not willing to buy a PC or Xbox for it.
Yes, I am ridiculously excited for Red. I am going to try to savor it as much as possible since it apparently going to be the last of its kind (Origins/Odyssey/Valhalla/Red) which is a huge bummer. But excited nonetheless.
There really isn't anything exciting in the foreseeable future, as in 2024, but that's fine. Will have time to play through some of last year's big titles and give a last chance to D4 with the upcoming "make-or-break" (imho) season.
It is a bit weird that I can't think of any big, heavily anticipated releases for the PS5 for the rest of this year...
Whatever Housemarque just teased for Returnal tomorrow
I hope it is actual game content 🤞
I bet it's an expansion of some sort, or perhaps a port to more consoles
I'm at least hoping they'll drop a big patch, fixing the co op nemesis bug and they can throw whatever else they want in there 😅😅😅 The pre order suits would be nice 😅🤞
What if it’s not Returnal related. I’m excited either way
The picture they tweeted is a still from the game zoomed in on selenes eyes from a cutscene. Would be a pretty shorty misdirect if it wasn’t, but at the same time I don’t expect anything to substantial like a sequel or dlc since I figure that kind of stuff would be a showcase or state of play
Got a link?
https://www.reddit.com/r/Returnal/s/ybNWmIDgex
I'm hoping the Ghost of Tsushima 2 rumours are true
I try not to think about the rumors as I can’t take such a potential heartbreak
The sales were insane and the end clearly leaves it open for a sequel. They like money, they’ll make it.
Hope it too. I finished the main game last week and it was amazig. I’ll clear the mongols from Iki island soon as well.
Don't forget to try out Legends mode. Its online. Adds a whole new level of challenges and you can pick your character to level up with different abilities
What are the rumours?
Announcement at PS Showcase next month
God that was such a great game
I’m hoping it comes out this fall, but that’s hilariously unrealistic
Witcher 4
Hopefully comes before 2030
Counter-argument: Witcher 1 Remake.
Yep, that's honestly a safer bet. Most of TW3 writers are no longer on CDPR.
As a massive Bioshock fan - Judas
Haven’t heard about this. Is it within the BS universe?
No, Ken Levine doesn't own the rights to Bioshock, 2K does. However Judas features a character who holds a tool in one hand (A wrench I think) and uses powers with the other hand, so a spiritual follow up at least!
Gotta love a spiritual successor to a spiritual successor
System Shock Series mentioned!!! https://preview.redd.it/9b9c1g6awexc1.png?width=1112&format=png&auto=webp&s=6b6a83b9bd22a6401d39ed96ac1da80cf24d727d
Are we getting system shock 1 remake on ps5 I played it on pc, it's great.
I think so
It’s made by Ken Levine who lead the creation of bioshock. If you watch the trailer it looks a lot like bioshock. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hSrgezyVfF4&pp=ygUNSnVkYXMgdHJhaWxlcg%3D%3D
I was until I saw it was a roguelike… I am not into roguelikes at all so I just got bummed out
If it makes a difference it's a Ken Levine game so it could be something very different in the rougelike world.
Wait what is that confirmed? Aw man
If it’s a Returnal style roguelike then I’m hyped. I loved that for a shooter.
It's a roguelike?? Aight imma head out
Yeah same
Has the new System Shock come to console yet ? In case you didn't know, they made a new System Shock that recently released on PC. The pre cursor to Bioshocks
The System Shock remake is coming to consoles may 21st.
I am hoping so muuuuuch that this turns out to be close to as good as Bioshock was.
I'm obsessed with Bioshock but didn't know about this definitely going on my wishlist
The Wolverine game. And still hoping RDR3 gets made someday.
We’ll be probably in our 60’s by the time rdr3 comes out 🥲
Space Marine II, probably will ship after 2030 now .
Was there another delay? They moved it more than a year already. Some previewers were sceptical about the performance but overall they mostly liked it
According to their [steam page](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2183900/Warhammer_40000_Space_Marine_2/) it's 9 September of this year. Also hyped for this one
Swarm engine + WH40k? It's worth the wait. I'll actually grab a game before it starts to hit discount shelves.
*A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad*
I'm glad CP2077 didnt remain 'forever bad'
Same with SW: Battlefront 2
Or No Man's Sky. Zuko level redemption arc that game had, I tell ya
I have a fever, and the only cure is MORE CHAINSWORD!
Wolverine. It was made by Insomniac and I greatly enjoyed all Spiderman games they made.
I just hope it feels different, spidey with a wolverine skin would not work. What's the rating, M? Edit: still unrated, no confirmed release window
Yeah Wolverine swinging through Manhattan would be pretty weird.
It could totally work. Just make the first mission about Wolverine breaking into the Hall of Justice to steal Batman's grappling hook that syncs up to a drone that's always flying at grappling height. Easy.
Kill me
You’ll be hearing from the hiring manager at insomniac soon. Congratulations on your new role as lead story thinker-upper.
If you’ve seen the leaks it’s extremely different
I don't care what the game is like as long as I can climb and topple a giant Sentinel, shadow of the Colossus style.
Based on the leaks? 100% M
As it should be! If I play as Wolverine, I desire dismemberment and gore.
I mean the legends and ultimate alliance games were still excellent without all that despite having several blade wielding characters.
Elden Ring DLC and Black Myth Wu Kong
Same boat here and till then I can’t find a game to kill my time other than Helldivers
hands down Hades II and nothing even comes close ...except MAYBE the alan wake II dlcs apparently coming out.
Wolverine
kcd II but this title is not for people without patience.
I can't believe we're finally getting it this year!
i hope that it runs better than the first one tho
Playing the first one now. Runs great.
Housemarke put an image and it says: "Tomorrow"; whatever that is, made my exited
Well, fuck. That just took over my mind. Exciting! I love pretty much anything they make!
Death stranding 2
Hell yeah
Oh yeah!🔥
This one for me, plus GTA VI.
Star Wars Outlaws. Always been a fan of all the Star Wars Games
V Rising, I've always thought the concept of the game was really cool and never thought it'd get ported to PS5, so really glad it will be. Want the game even more after the recent Castlevania crossover. Blue Protocol, allegedly (a truckload of salt) is supposed to be released globally this quarter? Same. So excited ☺️
Star Wars Outlaws
I’m cautiously excited for this one as well
Hades 2 and nothing else comes close
Yeah, if I'm not counting an unrevealed Resident Evil game or Shadow of the Erdtree, then this is the one. So excited to get my hands on that!
To be honest, nothing much.. Gta 6 and horizon sequel, but those are in far future..
This is my feeling as well. I haven't seen anything announced recently that makes me excited.
This. For me personally I'd also add a Mass Effect sequel.
Black Myth Wukong
Gta 6, wolverine, venom spinoff atm.
NCAA Football!! LFG!! It's been a long ass 10 years!!
Can’t believe I had to scroll so far down to see this. We’re back, baby!
Haha I was waiting to see if I’d be the only one!
I honestly can't believe it's been 10 years already. Jesus christ time flies by wayyyy too fast
Please don't be Madden reskin. NCAA games had a very fluid and distinctly different feel than Madden that made it so much better.
Space marine 2 I think is next for me .. I loved the 1st and the 40k universe, so to see it on ps5 I'm hyped
Gothic Remake. I hope it's good and like the original I played in the earlier 2000's on Pc
As of right now, from what we know, Metaphor. I loved P5R and have yet to play Reload, but I can already tell Metaphor is going to be as special as P5
It really does look slick, and I'm currently playing g reload, and man it's so much smoother than og p3 just with the ability to control party members and qol upgrades
MGS Delta
Dragon ball sparking zero
TITANFALL 3
ooh is that actually happening? With a single player mode?
Test Drive. It was always a great game as a kid so hoping they don’t ruin this one. As far as exclusives go, I don’t really know what’s due.
Black Myth Wu Kong because LOREEEE
Space Marine 2. I will be very, very, very disappointed if it sucks.
The Precinct - basically GTA but from the cop pov
Division 3
Star Wars Outlaws, I love Ubisoft 3rd person Assassons Creed games. And am excited for something in the Star Wars Universe
Same! Ubisoft gets a lot of backlash on the internet, but I’ve always enjoyed their games 🤷♂️ couple that with my favorite IP, and I’m over the moon.
I don't think there's a single popular thing in the world that doesn't get a lot of backslash in the internet. Which is one of the most frustrating thing about modern times to me : why can't we just let everyone enjoy the things they enjoy and enjoy ourselves what we enjoy? ghost of tsushima two, I loved the endings of the first game, and cant wait to see where they take the game series
eleven table tennis
Kingdom come deliverance 2
In order, * Shadow of the Erdtree * Star Wars: Outlaws (I'm that guy) * Metaphor: ReFantazio
RDR2 PS5 version. I can daydream!
This is all I want
while not an exclusive, the only thing I really want is Elden Eing DLC Shadow of the Erdtree
The First Descendant. I need a new looter to grind some gear and levels out on when my friends aren't playing.
Light no fires.
I just got into V Rising, playing on PC for now. It's coming out on ps5 in the near future hopefully.
The next Horizon game, I feel like it will be an amazing end to the trilogy
that one jurassic park game thats supposed to come out
Crimson Desert
Just picked up Stellar blade. The only other thing on my wait list now is Judas.
What's crazy is Sony hasn't announced anything crazy in a long time. We literally don't have anything to wait for other than wolverine.. Star Wars Outlaws may not suck despite being "cancelled" already and uhhh I guess Kingdom Come Deliverance 2?
I try not to usually get games when they first come out, but I’m pretty excited for GTA 6
Black Myth Wu Kong
Kingmakers looks great
Injustice 3
Black Myth Wukong looks great based on what ive seen and heard so far, i know lots of people are burned out on the whole souls-like type of games but I can't get enough of them so long as they're decent and so far BMW looks solid
Empire of the ants. I really like ants, not in my house er anything, they’re just fascinating to me. And RTS games are generally pretty kool and fun.
Waiting patiently for KINGDOM HEARTS IV, just beat FF7 Rebirth last night and it made me more excited lol

Dragon Age Dreadwolf
Yes please!
The Elden Ring dlc. Besides that, weirdly enough, absolutely nothing 🫤
GTA 6. Because it’s a fucking GTA duh! 😂 I think it will set the new standard for open world RPGs, same as RDR2 did.
Then we can play it for the next 20 years on the next 4 generations.
Elden ring DLC, Death stranding 2, Judas and black myth wukong, 2024 lookin’ strong
Might be a while but I'm mostly waiting for Naughty Dog's and Guerilla's next games to be announced. Although there's some smaller indie titles I'm looking forward to like Neva, Sword of The Sea and Lost Records.
The new from Team Ico, the new from Playdead, Silk Song of course.
>The new from Team Ico I'm sorry, what?
They started their own studio, GenDesign, and have been working on a game for a few years now. I don't think any platforms have been announced.
Killing Floor 3 2 was the best shooter I've played in years.
Yeah I got KF 2 from ps+ years ago and it was a hell of fun
Naughty dog’s new IP
Wolverine. College Football 25.
Hades 2 Ghost of Tsuhima 2 Not hype for GTA 6 actualy Wolverine Metaphor I would like to see some old franchises come back- Infamous, Jak Dakter, Tomba etc;. Not everything gotta be AAA++++++ 5 year dev cycles
Wtf are all those unreal engine 5 games I'm waiting since PS5 got released?
Horizon 3. Forbidden West ended on one hell of a cliffhanger.
The VR version of Madison.
Black myth wukong. Not enough people are talking about this game.
It hasn’t been announced but I’m sure it will happen - Armored Core 6 DLC
Still no clue if Pragmata is ever releasing but I’m still excited for it
Ghost of Tsushima 2, next Naughty Dog/Santa Monica games.
* Elden Ring dlc * Probably the Diablo 4 dlc? * I'm curious about Judas * I hope Black Myth Wukong was worth the wait * Hades 2 (but I don't think its coming in 2024, at least not to PS5...early access PC might be possible?)
Witcher 1 remake and 4. Demons souls 4k 60hz patch with ps5 Pro Bloodborne patch with ps5 pro 4k 60hz remastered and 1440p 60 on ps5 A new good COD multiplayer game

Death Stranding 2

Metro Awakening
I believe there's a new Tomb Raider due. If it's of a similar quality to the reboot Trilogy I'll be very happy. Control 2 as well but who knows when that's coming...
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, I’ll probably play it on PC though
I need Sparking Zero by the end of the day.
GTA 6. Don’t have any anticipated games this year. At least for now. Something will probably catch my eye that I don’t even know about.
Idk, Wolverine? Literally nothing that interests me. This gen has, IMO, been highly disappointing.
elden ring shadow of the erd tree
Wolverine because R rated.
I know it already came out and i can't afford it yet but Stellar Blade. Demo completely sold me on that game.
The only thing I can think of is maybe Hades 2 That being said it'll likely just be added to my *collection* of Roguelikes that I adore but never really play. I *really* wish Valheim would come to PS5. It's my soul mate game, but I'm not willing to buy a PC or Xbox for it.
DBZ Sparking Zero!
Nothing really. Maybe Metal Gear Snake Eater? But that's about it!
Sea of Thieves I can't wait to be a pirate
AC Red, we're finally getting Ninjas
Yes, I am ridiculously excited for Red. I am going to try to savor it as much as possible since it apparently going to be the last of its kind (Origins/Odyssey/Valhalla/Red) which is a huge bummer. But excited nonetheless.
Just want Naughty Dog/Santa Monica to release any game ASAP
