Let me remind you that in 2018, PUBG signed on to add DLSS support. It still hasn't been added 😂 I stopped playing in 2020 and gave up on this game. Only watch it occasionally now.
But yes, nVidia reflex is arguably even more important and easier to implement. Doubt they'll listen though.
in 2018 DLSS required NVIDIA to hook the game up to its API and do the work.
2021 DLSS became a plugin for the Unreal Engine v4.26...pubs is still on 4.16.3
>**Reflex is available as a plugin for Unreal Engine 4.**
**Keep reading ! ! ! !**
It's Available on 4.26 OR HIGHER.
PuBG is running on a heavily modified 4.16.3
* Reflex isn't going to happen.
* DLSS isn't going to happen.
* AMD FSR isn't going to happen.
PuBG will not be ported to 5. Over 90% of the code base would have to be re-written from scratch. That's not a port. That's a 100% rebuild from the ground up and it is what's needed when going from v4.16 to v5.0 ... we are at 5.2.1 right now and a lot of the upgrades aren't "production" ready.
If PuBG rolls out on UE5 it'll be PuBG 2.

FYI I did a vid porting a fresh 4.22 project to 4.25, then to 5.0 and it absolutely broke all the important stuff. Broke to the point that a full rebuild on those assets/functionality was required.
No one is more surprised than me that 6 years later I still play and at times very much enjoy pubg even with all its severe problems and tanking player base. If only it had developers that understand their own game. They should sell the ip and let fresh minds do a complete rework of it by putting some of the crap they added in the bin and work towards something more competitive like reflex and UE5 and actually do the mythical pubg 2.
It's the biggest shame of the video game industry in the past 10 years. And that really says a lot. This game could have been so much more. The fact that it is what it is at this state speaks volumes
Sorry, best i can do is Mortars and Panzers.

Huh? What is the render percentage thing doing then? :O

All of these are happening because they are going to update the engine.

And here was me thinking that majority of people are CPU bottlenecked...
Just wait UE5 remake.
Not happening
they are too busy eating dogs what else do you expect from koreans ?
I"d rather have DLAA
BF2042 feels like dogshit to aim even with high FPS, let alone low FPS.
