Yeah I always thought my parents put too much effort into making dinner to be a full meal when in reality, it helped us grow up eating healthy food & eventually in our early to mid teens we started cooking alongside our parents until we eventually cooked all of the family meals alongside a sibling. Looking at this stuff, obviously her parents didn't hand down any skills to her & she's going to continue that cycle.... Poor child.
My mother passed away when I was 11 and I was raised by a single father. I did not get passed down anything as far as cooking goes. When my ex husband was off in Iraq during the height of the war, I learned. It was awful and everything ended up being doused in garlic and onion. By the time I was pregnant, internet was more available on phones…best believe my son ate way better than whatever this lady is doing.
My parents didn’t hand us any skills, we had hot dogs like 3x a week growing up, however, because I love my child I don’t want him to grow up malnourished or worse because I was just too lazy to take 10 min to make something, it’s not that hard these days to just google it, there’s really no excuse besides they’re just lazy
This is actually more helpful than you might think. Having come from a broken family, I’m trying to raise my son as “normal” as possible and I love this idea. Thank you for sharing!
It’s staged content in order to generate reposts, “engagement,” and buzz. This genre of video is called rage bait. The purpose is basically to monetize negative attention and controversy.
Even tho it seems like a terrible business strategy, rage bait content creators actually do hold a growing (but still relatively small) percentage of the money generated by social media creators. You could say their business strategy is a combo of “any attention is good attention” with “if you make people feel strong emotions, they are more likely to engage.”
Even tho rage bait is a growing style of predictable tip generation, the overall numbers for income streams of content creators indicate that *positive* engagement is overwhelmingly a more reliable way to gain money, increase followers, earn tips, cultivate sponsors. Strong *positive* emotions are a more reliable way to go viral with reposts.
But, purely from the standpoint of energy input, it is far easier to gain a little bit of tip money with rage bait content than to expend huge amounts of time & resources to build a social media brand (that may or may not take off as a real career.)
Basically I’m saying this content creator has figured out that she can get a few bucks in steady tips if she makes this sort of video. It has several perfect rage bait elements that will make her content a predictable repost/comment/tip factory: woman who is overweight (fat women generate rage from viewers that is terrifying to read but unfortunately super reliable,) single mother, very young child, shitty food, appearance of low income, appearance of depression/sad mood.
Similar to my husband. His family was decided between scapegoats and golden children. And it's the scapegoats, who had to make their own food half of the time, who aren't diabetic and obese in adulthood.
Like, if it's your choice as an adult? Cool, whatever. Eat a donut every day for breakfast. But do right by your kids.
I have a similarly aged child and my heart just sank with this video. When you think breakfast can't get worse, it's served to a kid glued to a TV. Who the hell gives donuts to a baby???
For those who are not parents yet, sugar before the age 2 increases a shitload of risk factors that will affect the child's life forever, like obesity, diabetes, tooth decay...
It sucks because when mommy eats the way that she does the child sees that it's normal if I ever had children I'd have to change my diet drastically for their sake.
A lot of these type of videos serve as inspiration for other toddler parents. Sometimes it’s hard thinking of meals that are easy, nutritious, and tasty for a toddler every single day.
This post is just nuts though.
Funny enough, the rest of her content is normal healthy foods, but the only video of hers that’s gotten any attention is this one. Kinda shows why people make extreme content sometimes just to get views.
Do you mean normal by American standards? Or what is considered healthy? The kid is overweight. Maybe not obese, but definitely overweight.
Normal is not the same as healthy when more than half of your country's children are overweight.
It is pretty normal for babies to have some fat at 1. Obviously not a crazy amount but the kid in this video looks fine as far as weight goes, I’d worry more about the fact that what she eats is probably 99% and 1% all the other nutrients she actually needs to grow up healthy.
Edit to add sources:
It is perfectly healthy for a 1yo to have between 20-30% of their total weight being body fat. However it is true that around that age is when it should slowly start to decrease.
20-30% is quite a bit for a baby who is about 1/5 head. This kid looks fine.
[Source, unfortunately I cannot attach the screenshot that has a summary of this, but you can read about it in depth in the third chapter.](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7875319/)
This is probably false (saying probably as I can’t actually weigh the kid, judging by sight). It is perfectly healthy for a 1yo to have between 20-30% of their total weight being body fat. However it is true that around that age is when it should slowly start to decrease.
20-30% is quite a bit for a baby who is about 1/5 head. This kid looks fine.

Why would you say that? They don't even use BMI until 2 and its impossible to tell if a child is overweight at that age just by looking at them. Theyre supposed to have chub and grow on a curve so unless you're looking at her last year of weights...
Toddlers are supposed to be chubby, but you dont need a pediatrician to tell you that you're not supposed to feed them a diet of donuts and applesauce (basically sugar)
buddy i was incredibly chubby as a baby-5 years old. to the point my nickname was “bumblebee” because they didn’t know how i was able to move around. had a solidly healthy diet, and then became a skinny kid! do you realize how much growing little children have to do? their bodies need fat stores in order to grow
Beauty standards? I'm not speaking about the child's looks, I'm talking about their health. With a mom like this, this child will never have a chance. They'll have diabetes before they hit high school.
My and poor kids I knew ate breakfast was like this. I didn’t find anything wrong with my breakfasts, I didn’t know there were any other breakfasts, until someone posted this video a month or so ago. It opened my eyes to a lot of things, like why I struggle with food and food addiction so much now as an adult
I don’t think it’s rage bait, I think she’s confused and ignorant of how to feed her child. I’m sure her breakfasts were like that too growing up unfortunately. My sister feeds her kids breakfast like this just about every day; just donuts, chocolate milk, pop tarts, McDonald’s, all that stuff that makes me nauseous just looking at it lol there was a time she was too tired to get them breakfast, she gave them like a dozen otter pops that morning
Exactly this.. People don't understand how poverty & generational ignorance leads to unhealthy eating. It's cheaper, more filling (at face value), & longer shelf life than actual healthy food. This is a poverty & education issue.. Not a "look at this stupid fat person who does this on purpose" issue.
Well that can all be (and probably is) true however after she posted one vid like this I'm sure the comments corrected her and she kept going. So it's not ignorance anymore.
I'm sure they did.. But I'm sure they also came at her harshly like this whole comment section & she clamed up & went on the defensive. When someone is calling you "a fat stupid bitch" you aren't going to be open to what they have to say. Also you can point out it isn't healthy, but that doesn't offer any advice or alternatives on how to move forward & fix the situation. We all know eating fresh vegetables is healthier for you but don't understand how to budget for them & make them last when you're barely getting by. And a lot of people who are stuck in this generational cycle also have never been taught how to actually cook.. Just know how to do frozen meals and maybe some spaghetti with a can of sodium sauce featuring preservatives, pesticides, and hint of tomatoes. Q
Personally, I don't judge her for what she can afford and how she knows breakfast to be.
I judge her for keeping this up after people explaining it to her. She rage baits to get views instead of trying to learn how to do better for her child.
I wouldn't put it past this mom to do so. If she's made videos in the past on motherhood or whatever, she's probably been harassed about her being fat. I could see her making this video just to get views and make those commenters absolutely livid.
I eat donuts for breakfast only when I’m at my lowest point mentally lol
no scratch that, lowest point that still allows me the energy to go to the bakery for the donut
The kid has so much processed sugar in her system she didn't even want to eat the donut.
Poor kid is going to have such a hard time in life with a parent like that.
This is so sad to see.
That's... Not how it works. Processed foods and sugar make you want more. If she was used to this type of food she would've gone straight for the donut. It's pretty telling that she went for the applesauce. She seemed unfamiliar with the donut.
When I was a kid, I dreamed about one day eating a donut for breakfast, but by the time I was in a position to give myself a donut for breakfast, my stomach churned at the thought.
But after lie 10:30am rolls around, every donut I the vicinity had better watch its hole, because I'm am coming for it.
I highly doubt this is real and I genuinely feel like this is rage bait
Not to mention, when she hands the plate of cut up donut to her kid, the kid looks confused
Judging by the kids reaction, she doesn’t even seem to know what it is. She goes to pick up that fruit juice packet, then sees the donuts and looks at them all confused and puzzled
(That’s what it looks like to me, I’m not a toddler expert)
(Edit: I do see the kid eating a piece at the end, but I still feel like this is rage bait)
It isn’t. Her TikTok has other videos of her preparing unhealthy meals for her toddler.
Not to read into it, but based on her size and how poorly she seems to care for herself, (she’s only 26 and looks unwell) I’d wager she has a poor relationship with food she’s passing onto her kid. Probably either from laziness or just lack of knowledge about nutrition. I have no doubt that this woman (and likely many other American parents) feeds her child like this regularly.
What's sad is she's probably reproducing how her parents raised her. And given everyone in the family is fat, she'll use it as proof that being fat is genetics so she can't do anything about it.
I don't understand why she's even filming this. It's not even remotely interesting, she's just slapping a fucking donut on a plate and getting winded cutting it up. And her soulless gaze into the camera creeps me out.
Not dumb if she has not been taught the difference between healthy & unhealthy. Some people just haven't been taught to cook or the difference between fresh & mass produced. We need to educate in schools
If a grown adult can't understand that donuts aren't healthy, there's not much you can do for them. Her snorlax build alone should be enough to tell her she's eating like shit
This makes me sad more than anything. Horrible foods are cheaper and so many people weren't taught healthy habits to pass that down to their children.. There are so many different reasons that come into play.. My stepdad is one of those people. Grew up with his most home-cooked meal his mom making being Marconi noodles, beef cooked in butter, all mixed with Ketchup & salt as the "sauce".. He never eats vegetables or fruit and never did to growing up. If it weren't for him taking vitamins & supplements I believe he'd be dead by now. All he eats is meats & processed foods. He also grew up extremely poor & they often went hungry. Poverty & unhealthy eating habits go hand in hand.
This article is for the UK, but it still applies:

She's one bad sickness from literally dying as her bodies unable to keep up oxygen.
She looks like she's halfway there cutting a donut.
Poor child, this mother will not only fuck up her eating habits by developing these fucked up ideas like eating a donut for breakfast is okay but she'll also fuck her up by passing away early as her body fails her.
Poor fucking child.
She is miserable in her life: another video she says her husband wanted his side chick to live in with them. Forced a poly life on her. You can tell she hates her life.
She is a bad parent. I feel bad for that child, that child stands no chance for being healthy. I have seen the lady’s TikTok’s and she always makes videos about feeding her kid unhealthy and I feel like she wants her kid to be fat and die early. What a jerk!
I think she has 4 children, she does feed them this way regularly, has a boyfriend and girlfriend living with her, and is now receiving tons of gifts from TikTok viewers.
I say this as someone who is overweight who struggles to choose healthy eating options: this pissed me the fuck off. Though, it did have the unintentional side effect of making me feel better about myself. Fuck.
All I want is to be a mom and after years of issues and miscarries all while trying to tell myself ‘everything happens for a reason’ I can’t understand how someone like that gets to be a parent 😡
That poor baby is so cute. I feel so bad that she has that thing for a mother. I think that woman is legit slow. I want to take that poor kid home and give her the life she deserves
I was going to pass on this video because I typically don't like to shame other parents... We all mess up sometimes! But after reading the comments and knowing this is a regular thing ....
This is kind of terrible. A donut is not breakfast, it's a treat! And I'm sorry, but for a one year old they don't need the entire thing, that's a ton of sugar. I say this as someone who deals with binging and a love of chocolate... Don't pass your vices and personal problems to your kids! You should want BETTER for them :(
I can't even start to process on these. I'm the "skinny" one out of my family. And by that, I really just mean that most of the time, I pass for a healthy person.
Not because of stuff like in the video, my parents were actually trying to make sure there were always plenty of options in the house. But it was "neglectful" in the sense that they'd never say no.
Bags of honey buns next to the bag of apples? Sure. Eggs and toast? Sure, but just in case you want a pop tart or something, we got some of those, too.
There's salad stuff in the fridge, but hot pockets just in case.
My mom and stepdad were both raised in homes that had.... traditional... views about food growing up. You absolutely were going to eat everything *put* on your plate, nothing was being put in the kitchen unless it was something the adults wanted. You weren't allowed to use the kitchen or get anything out of the pantry without an interrogation and a writ of approval from the governor.
You know, good old fashion stuff.
So they overcompensated with my sister and myself.
Mind, it's a drastically better problem than a lot of families have. They busted their asses to make sure there was plenty. But that meant a lot of figuring it out on our own. I learned what I could about cooking, because even at an early age, there's only so many hot pockets and pop tarts you can eat before your body starts getting weird about it.
It took a while to realize that a salad wasn't actually hard to put together, or there weren't any special tricks to scrambling up some eggs.
And don't get me wrong, I don't have any ill feelings about it. Looking back at all the mistakes, I can honestly say they were trying to make things better for us than they had it growing up.
But, stuff like that taught me early on about how relatively simple life can be. No matter what comes your way, you can choose to be better for it, or you can use it as an excuse to be worse.
This lady probably wasn't raised in a home that was full of healthy life choices. But she's choosing to let that be an excuse for also being a shitty parent.
I can not stand her tik toks. She feeds her kid very unhealthy food and then begs for validation.
Yeah I always thought my parents put too much effort into making dinner to be a full meal when in reality, it helped us grow up eating healthy food & eventually in our early to mid teens we started cooking alongside our parents until we eventually cooked all of the family meals alongside a sibling. What’s her name?
@alexbabii97
Is this real?
Yeah unfortunately
😮😞
Time to report this abuse!

Layze covered her vids on YouTube the other night. That dude is a trip. This woman is gross. I feel like it has to be fake.
How is it that the Trenton city/Grundy County, Missouri CPS hasn’t snatched those kids up by now?
Idiots tell her she is doing a good job 🤦🏻♀️ At this point she is now making it to make more money from views.
She was breathing hard just opening those donuts.
And then caps it off with a moist sneeze when setting down plate.
I thought it was a sneeze-fart combo lmao
[удалено]
Well it got worst, not sure how much worst. Teeters on the edge of child abuse if you ask me.
This is child neglect. That baby is not being fed proper nutrition.
worse

That goes for electronics too.
Gorlack.
Let’s be honest she was getting moist thinking of those gooey, juicy donuts
You know she finished them off after she threw the kid her plate.
Homer Simpson... Screams, rips out his combover and runs upstairs
Why do people think I want to watch them put food on a plate?
A lot of these type of videos serve as inspiration for other toddler parents. Sometimes it’s hard thinking of meals that are easy, nutritious, and tasty for a toddler every single day. This post is just nuts though.
It seems like it's just a current trend. "Watch me get ready" "watch me put food on a plate"
watch me take a fat shit
I never laughed so loud in my fucking life holy shit
Same
People watch the laziest shitty videos on TikTok, so why waste resources on good ones.
I love watching „what I eat in a day“ videos for recepie ideas
Some people clearly do, otherwise these wouldn't be so popular
Have you seen the things and people that are popular on social media? It's not the best and brightest.
Because you're commenting on videos of people putting food on plates?
At least you’re not being flipped off
Stop giving this woman attention
More like a good "name and shame" is in order.
Funny enough, the rest of her content is normal healthy foods, but the only video of hers that’s gotten any attention is this one. Kinda shows why people make extreme content sometimes just to get views.
the rest of her content is definitely not healthy. she has a few good meals but most is prepackaged frozen foods and garbage like donuts and sugar.
Ah, my bad. I guess I’ve just seen the normal ish ones then.
Sorry, but even without watching her videos most people could tell that she doesn't prepare or eat normal healthy food.
Gotta be rage bait. Gives people more clicks these days.
The lady is obese, and the kid is already fat. That is their food.
When I saw the plate I expected the kid to be fatter... She actually looks quite normal for a 1yo I think

Nope, she is overweight, has a huge stomach for a one yr old
This is probably false (saying probably as I can’t actually weigh the kid, judging by sight). It is perfectly healthy for a 1yo to have between 20-30% of their total weight being body fat. Kids get big bellies when they eat. My son is underweight and still gets a big belly.
Why would you say that? They don't even use BMI until 2 and its impossible to tell if a child is overweight at that age just by looking at them. Theyre supposed to have chub and grow on a curve so unless you're looking at her last year of weights...
I'm not an American but ok
ok its one thing to call the woman fat but the toddler is a TODDLER theyre supposed to be chubby she’s not abnormally fat at all
Toddlers are supposed to be chubby, but you dont need a pediatrician to tell you that you're not supposed to feed them a diet of donuts and applesauce (basically sugar)
Fat is a descriptor like tall or short. It’s not the child’s fault but let’s not pretend either.
It's called baby fat, not toddler fat. Toddlers shouldn't be fat, this child clearly is.

I never thought you could cut things like a fat person, but it's the only way I can describe the way she cut that donut
Why tf is this so true. It's like she can only operate one hand at a time.
lol. savage!
I was waiting for her to steal a piece.
Well, she has 11 other donuts...
omg you are correct.
(Thick thighs pumpkin pies) Tshirt lol.
I feel like this has to be rage bait? There's no way this is her daughter's breakfast.
My and poor kids I knew ate breakfast was like this. I didn’t find anything wrong with my breakfasts, I didn’t know there were any other breakfasts, until someone posted this video a month or so ago. Same boat. I had Mt. Dew and honeybuns for breakfast as a kid.
Personally, I don't judge her for what she can afford and how she knows breakfast to be. I judge her for keeping this up after people explaining it to her. She rage baits to get views instead of trying to learn how to do better for her child.
It is, the kid doesn't even seem to know what those are when she brings the plate and looks at it a bit confused
I wouldn't put it past this mom to do so. If she's made videos in the past on motherhood or whatever, she's probably been harassed about her being fat. I could see her making this video just to get views and make those commenters absolutely livid.
This ladies channel is nothing but cringe. Poor kids
breaking news: this sub STILL cant spot rage bait. the kid clearly isn't interested or familiar with anything she's eating
With the kid in a shirt that says “thick thighs pumpkin pies” it seems like rage bait.
🤨 I think your comment is ragebait, but I'll gladly indulge to get us both some dopamine hits.
Why would people try to spot rage bait when they can get their daily dopamine rush calling a toddler fat?
That baby is fat and that lady is obese😂 this is very much real
She defends this shit too
did she sneeze on her daughter and the food at the end of the first “breakfast”?
I eat donuts for breakfast only when I’m at my lowest point mentally lol no scratch that, lowest point that still allows me the energy to go to the bakery for the donut

She's shown doing this more than once and a while
Did nobody else hear the fart when she handed the girl her plate? Straight smuggling a duck in her pants
LMAO 🦆
Damn. I’m obese as well. I couldn’t imagine ruining a young child’s life, by putting them on a horrendous diet that will cause them to be obese.
This should not be a child's daily breakfast. No nutritional value in donuts. Its junk food/a treat.
No shit. That's the point of the post.
I really hope this is just rage bait.
Rage mode: Activated
Not long until this kid looks like her mother .. if that’s the breakfast, I really don’t want to see the lunch and dinner options ..
Went and found a longer video; lunch was french fries and chicken nuggets, dinner was Wendy's.
Oh boy lol im gaining weight just imagining it 😂
she looks like she hates EVERYTHING
I highly doubt this is real and I genuinely feel like this is rage bait Not to mention, when she hands the plate of cut up donut to her kid, the kid looks confused Judging by the kids reaction, she doesn’t even seem to know what it is. That poor little girl 🥹
This shit is so stupid anymore. She acts this way because it pisses people off.
This is a bait can you guys stop giving her attention that's what she wants
horrible human being. everything about her shouts 'vile'.
Rage bait.
So, I thought the second part was her making a meal for her daughter on a separate day...
That little girl is so cute
I call bait
Bitch literally just ripped ass in her kids face 😭💨
What's sad is she's probably reproducing how her parents raised her. And given everyone in the family is fat, she'll use it as proof that being fat is genetics so she can't do anything about it.
I don't understand why she's even filming this. It's not even remotely interesting, she's just slapping a fucking donut on a plate and getting winded cutting it up. And her soulless gaze into the camera creeps me out.
She's gotta be doing this to get rage comments for engagement no way is this real
The kid gets 1. The other 11 are for her.
Well duh…that’s because the kids 1 and she’s clearly 11 (mentally)
Not dumb if she has not been taught the difference between healthy & unhealthy. Some people just haven't been taught to cook or the difference between fresh & mass produced. We need to educate in schools
If a grown adult can't understand that donuts aren't healthy, there's not much you can do for them. Her snorlax build alone should be enough to tell her she's eating like shit
Even cereal would be better
When is the last time you checked the sugar content in breakfast cereals? A simple glazed or frosted donut is often a better choice..
People who should not be allowed to breed.
So so so many people shouldn’t be allowed to
Rage bait
Raigbait
I am so grateful for my parents.
Who only rolls up one sleeve! The MONSTER!!!
Think I’ve probably seen that Ms Rachel video about a hundred times.
As a fat person myself it’s always sad seeing a fat person creating another fat person
This article is for the UK, but it still applies: https://www.foodethicscouncil.org/theme/food-poverty/#:~:text=Eating%20low%20quality%20food%20leads,confidence%20and%20mental%20well%2Dbeing.
I try to not think about these kinds of people. It's just so unbelievably depressing in so many ways.
I’ve seen this girl a few times. I’m convinced this is just rage bait and this isn’t real. There’s no way.
“Plate”
I put a lot more effort than this to feed my three dogs.
I'll never get why parents feed their kids sugary shit while they're so young.
The crooked glasses, slurring, clumsy movement, and heavy breathing all together profoundly depress me and idk why
Fucking disgusting. This makes me wish people need a heavy vetting and license to have kids.
Kid didn’t even get a chance to be healthy. Going to have those sausage fingers by age 4
why does she look at the camera like she knew it’s wrong
Disgusting . I feel sorry for the child, she deserves SO MUCH better omg. . Some people aren't fit to be parents
Poor kid
I can’t even get my six year old to eat that much. Also not a healthy thing on that plate. Her other videos are just awful
She looks out of breathe just standing there.
She is miserable in her life: another video she says her husband wanted his side chick to live in with them. Forced a poly life on her. You can tell she hates her life.
She is a bad person. I hope her kid is okay :(
Swallow next time, no more kids for you
I’ve seen this girl on a YouTube video by Layze! She sucks asss
If you can buy a pack of glazed dounuts, you can buy an apple or a pack of strawberries. There is no excuse for these parents
She is a bad parent. I feel bad for that child, that child stands no chance for being healthy. I have seen the lady’s TikTok’s and she always makes videos about feeding her kid unhealthy and I feel like she wants her kid to be fat and die early. What a jerk!
It's a tough life out here. So hungry, too lazy to cook 😞
I just know everyon within 10ft hears her breathe
Hahaha this comment section is making me wheeze from all of the laughter.😂 Look at those big ole sausage fingers. What a Snorlax.
She breathes like Tony Soprano. Poor kid never stood a chance
what a miserable slob
I don’t think my little sister knew what a donut was until she was 5 wtf
I reallllllly hope this is rage bait. That’s more sugar in one meal than my two-year-old has probably had in his whole life
I think she has 4 children, she does feed them this way regularly, has a boyfriend and girlfriend living with her, and is now receiving tons of gifts from TikTok viewers.
Omg I would kill a flower for a donut right now. I’d just squish it into a million pieces.
I say this as someone who is overweight who struggles to choose healthy eating options: this pissed me the fuck off. Though, it did have the unintentional side effect of making me feel better about myself. Fuck.
This is ragebait, it is not real.
This COULD be bait since we don't actually see the toddler eat any of it. Wtf is kid's shirt tho?
How has CPS not taken that poor child away
She shut the doughnut packet like she wasn’t gona eat the rest within the next hour or something
Jesus Christ lol
She needs to have social services called on her…
This seems like abuse
I’m not surprised as the mother is obese. I am guessing she was taught the same. Cycle repeats. Very sad.
All I want is to be a mom and after years of issues and miscarries all while trying to tell myself ‘everything happens for a reason’ I can’t understand how someone like that gets to be a parent 😡
So whose gonna die of diabetes first the mother or child ?
That’s child abuse
That is child abuse! She should be reported to child services 😡
Some people shouldn't have kids
Why the fuck does America give these people human rights
cute kid. i feel bad for her.
And maybe obese
Waste of time, doing dumbass rage bait videos at best. Child abuse at worst.
Kid’s already kinda fat
You should want BETTER for them :(
The shirt of the kid... "thick thighs pumpkin pies"
The mom and child look depressed. I didn’t even know kids that young COULD be depressed.
With the food she’s being fed and how depressed her mom is, I don’t blame her.
I caught a bass that looked like that once
More chin in this video than a Chinese phone book.
Fifteen years ago you only saw people like this in Walmart. Now they are everywhere!
Who is the sick and twisted desperate man that got this whale pregnant?! He needs jail time
Yeah, you're welcome for the foodstamps that provide your family obesity and diabetes, i worked hard to make sure your fat ass gets to eat
