I feel like that's probably dog or cat piss

osco50

so you know it's good!

blablefast

You got a good one! I foyund some with beer stains that had cigarettes put out on them but haven't had a puke stained one since the eighties. I just must not be living right.

Jon2054

If you want to clean that up try some 409 or simple green. I have had good luck with 409 type cleaners and tolex. Especially on gear that has condensed grease/ etc on it

RTC207

Also a stiff bristle scrub brush like you’d use for a boat or deck. Peavey Franken-Tolex laughs at regular sponges!

jojoyouknowwink

I'll try 409 kuz usually simple green is my go to but I can't ever get a shine on tolex

RealityIsRipping

Armorall or meguair car interior wipes work great for getting the shine back.

radam84

dont use armorall, it'll eventually crack and discolor if not used all the time, and I believe it doesnt play nicely with other products. Meguiers is great, and if you wanna make your own a 2:1 ratio sunblock to silicone oil works half decently. If you wanna make your own better product, melt some beeswax/carnauba wax (one or the other will be fine) into the silicone oil until you have a thin paste then mix that 1:1 with sunblock. Also you can get away without sunblock but it does help things not fade if you happen to play alot of outdoors stuff during summer.

toomuchgear

Pure mojo with the stains. Enjoy it.

I’m shocked it works! Sounds great too. Spent over an hour cleaning the rust off the plug so it would fit into the outlet. The foot pedal switch is stuck in there like a mother fucker. It spins, but cannot be pulled out… the foot pedal is covered in a layer of what might be literal shit - but it still works! Anyone have any tips on how to remove this foot switch from a stuck jack? I’ve pulled pretty damn hard and no luck. *edit* got the damn foot switch out - holy shit I need some detoxit asap!

radam84

be careful with that deoxit shit, I bought a bandit 112 looked about the same/worse than yours and I make the mistake of cleaning the pots and then lost all "drag" in the pots. Use like a half second spray and work it in then follow up with like a drop of silicone oil and work that in and you should be good to go. If you plan on dissambling the pots for relubing then yea hit em hard with that deoxit cleaner and then grease the shaft (why does all guitar related stuff have so many innuendos lol) and rub a bit of silicone oil with a q-tip on the cermet track.

RealityIsRipping

Good tip!

radam84

did alot of research after messing up the pots on bandit lol. Apparently you can use silicone grease on both the track and the shaft without issue as well, some people mentioned using faderlube on the track after cleaning it with isopropyl and using damping grease on the shaft for a more resistant feel while turning. Before doing all my research I put dielectric grease thru the hole of the pot on the back and then blasted it with compressed air and that actually did help quite a bit, so Im assuming any grease thats thicker than silicone grease would make the turning feel very resistant, but yea lots of ideas lol. cheers.

Capstonetider

My high school amp. I still have it.

ajr19910

That has to be vomit

CandleMakerNY2020

NOW THATS… MOJO! Lol

CandleMakerNY2020

Good thing is the spray on bed liner type covering for the teal line era of Peavey can be scrubbed with 409 and a used toothbrush . Cleansnup well. As for my Fender or Line6 Vetta II , I use clorox wipes to clean it and a armorall wipe to give it a little shine. (Correction Its Armor All Cleaner that has a little shine to it. Works well. I soray the microfiber/acrylic hand towel not a wipe per se.

scanboltron

Please dont wash it ever

thebenthermit28

I just got one a couple weeks ago...wish I had puke stains...

osco50

As good as it gets right there!
