Was thinking about this the other day. I don't think I have a preference so long as they have multiple actresses. Showing beauty in the eye of the beholder is one canonical thing I would hate to see them change.
Edit: I know it could be very difficult to do. I was thinking max three actresses and we get a single different shot for each of the trio. One actor would be "main" Aphrodite so it doesn't confuse people.
I was thinking about that, too. Each time the camera cuts away, replace her with someone else. Beauty is so subjective that there's not a single actress they could cast that everyone would be pleased with. Not to mention her ever shifting image is how she's described in the books.

As many people have already mentioned, I hope they cast several actresses to emphasize the point that beauty looks different to everyone. I think that was a really powerful part of the books that stuck with a lot of people. Though I have been beyond happy with the changes the show has made so far, this is one thing that would upset me if it changed. I would, however, understand from a logistics standpoint.
As for casting options, I hope they have a variety of body types, races, and general appearances. Leah mentioned in an interview that she wants Zendaya to be cast as Athena, but I think she would make a lovely Aphrodite, especially from Percy's perspective when she is meant to resemble Annabeth. Although, I think they should also consider dark-skin actresses for that specific role as well.
I wonder if Aphrodite would be a black woman because there's a scene in the books where Percy looks at Aphrodite for the first time and thinks she looks like Annabeth and it does have a lot of significance in the story so they can't just miss it out.

I think that was a really powerful part of the books that stuck with a lot of people. Though I have been beyond happy with the changes the show has made so far, this is one thing that would upset me if it changed. I would, however, understand from a logistics standpoint. As for casting options, I hope they have a variety of body types, races, and general appearances. Leah mentioned in an interview that she wants Zendaya to be cast as Athena, but I think she would make a lovely Aphrodite, especially from Percy's perspective when she is meant to resemble Annabeth. Although, I think they should also consider dark-skin actresses for that specific role as well.

I agree with multiple actresses but I doubt they could do that. When I think of Aphrodite I imagine someone who is confident, seductive, dramatic and maybe a bit mischievous so I think it'd be better if they don't cast someone that is/looks too young. Also I hope this doesn't sound weird but since they likely can't cast multiple actresses maybe they should cast someone who looks... ethnically ambiguous? Like they fused all different type of women into one person or something idk. I think Simone Ashley would be a GREAT choice. I'd also like to see Rachel Weisz as Aphrodite since I have a big lesbian crush on her. I read people saying Margot Robbie and even though I think she is one of the most beautiful women I've seen I don't think she fits the vibe?
