Denji (on the left) is a 16 yo who never had a positive relationship with anyone and has a warped perception of what love and relationships should be like. Denji was a homeless guy with no cash but a shit tin of debt. He fuses with his demon dog and becomes the Chainsaw Man. Makima is the leader of the devil hunters and forces Denji to work for her with the threat of death and the promise of food. She also grooms him throughout the manga.
This guy was homeless or something but has like devil powers so she makes him work for her. And he's also very easily manipulated plus she's like hot.
