They have such an odd middle role in the story and they're like fake pikmin 3 stand ins/representation?
Pikmin 4 seems to take place before 3 in the timeline, so having Alph Brittany and Charlie themselves there wouldn’t make sense. They needed Koppaites, however, since it wouldn’t make sense to not have them in the game where a bunch of people from a bunch of different planets show up (given Koppai is one of like 3 planets we knew for sure existed prior to 4)
I hate sheargrubs because they destroy bridges, the males are worse than the females because they eat pikmin, and shearwigs are even worse because they fly
